You know, I'm sure the kids feel bad enough; why not just leave it alone?

" Police gave no indication that Moran provided the alcohol for the party or that he gave any to other students."

WTF?!
Then why was he arrested?

"Police investigating teen's death file alcohol charges" by Milton J. Valencia, Globe Staff | October 31, 2008

Police investigating how some 20 teenagers obtained alcohol at an Oct. 17 party in Norfolk before one of them wandered into swampland and drowned have charged an 18-year-old with bringing beer from his home.

Police identified the teen as Christopher Moran of Norfolk. He was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol and misleading a police officer furthering a criminal investigation.

Don't these cops have other "crimes" to solve? You know, like rapes, robberies, and murders?

Moran allegedly told police he brought a number of beers from his home for his personal consumption. He also allegedly gave detectives false information in an attempt to mislead them. He was arraigned in Wrentham District Court on Oct. 24, and pleaded not guilty.

Moran was arrested at his home on Oct. 23. Police disclosed his arrest only yesterday. Police gave no indication that Moran provided the alcohol for the party or that he gave any to other students. But the filing of charges against him, and the continuing investigation, show police are delving into the circle of people who were at the party before 17-year-old Taylor Meyer wandered into swampland and drowned. --more--"

I have a solution to underage drinking: BAN ALCOHOL!!!! If it is good enough for pot, then it is good enough for booze!!!
