Your Economic Lie of the Day

It is why I'm skimming the second section and reading less and less of the Boston Globe.

I guess I'm just tired of wasting my (and your) time, reader.

"Economy grew at slower pace than thought; Spending by consumers fell in first quarter" by Christine Hauser, New York Times | May 28, 2010

Perfect!

The US economy expanded at a slower rate in the first quarter than originally estimated, the Commerce Department reported yesterday....

But....

Had it with government and MSM liars like me, readers?

The revised measure of the overall economy grew at an inflation-adjusted annual rate of 3 percent in the first quarter, down from the earlier estimate of 3.2 percent, the department said....

And WE SHOULD BELIEVE the LIARS NOW because.... ???

Btw, if this is all true, WHY are STATES STILL WHACKING TEACHERS in DROVES?

Why are their BUDGETS still seeing SHORTFALLS?

Because GOVERNMENT LIED about GROWTH, that's why -- and the GOVERNMENT FORECASTS regarding tax receipts were WRONG AGAIN!!

The Labor Department said initial jobless claims fell slightly to 460,000 in the week of May 22, down by 14,000. While the weekly level exceeded analysts’ expectations, total jobless claims still inspired a sober outlook....

Yeah, we are STILL LOSING JOBS which means THERE NEVER WAS A RECOVERY for YOU, average Americans!

Only WALL STREET and BANKS, average Americans RECOVERED thanks to YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
