NOTA in Nevada

I'll have to write it in here.

"‘None of the above’ can make difference in Nev. race

LAS VEGAS — A choice of “none of the above’’ remains a potential factor in the dead-heat Nevada Senate race for voters who don’t like Democrat Harry Reid or Republican Sharron Angle.

Voters in the Silver State have nine choices on the ballot next week — eight are candidates, including Reid and Angle.

The number of voters who choose “None of these candidates’’ is expected to be small, but in a close race those who boycott the ballot could make the difference.

Reid knows the risk: A dozen years ago he pulled off a 428-vote reelection victory over then-Republican Representative John Ensign, while “none’’ received 8,125 votes.

So a VOTE for NOTA is a VOTE for REID!

Angle’s campaign yesterday said it is banning two Las Vegas television stations from covering the candidate’s election night party as punishment for asking questions without permission.

The move came house after journalists from the local CBS and NBC news affiliates surprised Angle at McCarran International Airport yesterday to ask her questions about national security and unemployment.

Just sounds like more MSM pouncing to me.

Some people do have the option of NOTA in other states.

"GOP ad that urges Latinos not to vote is pulled off air

LAS VEGAS — A Republican campaign urging Latinos not to vote was yanked from the airwaves yesterday amid an outcry from Democrats that it was a dirty trick against Senate majority leader Harry Reid in his hotly contested race against Republican Sharron Angle.

Oh, they have some nerve (keep reading)!

Reid sought to link the ad to Angle as it drew a sharp rebuke from President Obama, Latino leaders, and candidates from both parties in Nevada. Angle’s opponents also pounced on the Tea Party movement favorite for her comments to Hispanic high school students that “some of you look a little more Asian to me.’’

Yeah, but that's okay in the agenda-pushing corporate media because he's a Democrat.

***********

Reid has fiercely courted the Hispanic vote in the contest against Angle, who supports strict immigration policies.

But he wants your vote.

With the race in a dead heat, a dip in turnout among Hispanics would probably land Angle in the US Senate....

Any questions?

I think Harry just stepped in his own defeat:

"GOP scores Reid for remark on worldwide depression

WASHINGTON — Senate majority leader Harry Reid said “but for me, we’d be in a worldwide depression,’’ a statement the National Republican Senatorial Committee criticized.

“People have been hurting and I understand that,’’ Reid told MSNBC’s Ed Schultz on Thursday. “And it doesn’t give them comfort or solace for me to tell them, you know, but for me, we’d be in a worldwide depression. They want to know what I’ve done for them.’’

No, NARCISSISTIC ARROGANCE is NOT the way to WIN OVER VOTERS, Harry!

Republicans said the comments suggested that Reid is taking credit for saving the world but taking no responsibility for Nevada’s economic problems.

Reid’s statement “is either the height of ignorance or arrogance, or most likely, a combination of both,’’ said National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Brian Walsh. “If he was so busy saving the rest of the world, why didn’t he take the time to help save Nevada as well?’’

Or America?

Thus the Democrats play dirty:

"Democrats back long shots to sap GOP

ORLANDO, Fla. — Seeking any slight advantage in their effort to avoid losing control of Congress, Democrats are working behind the scenes in a number of tight races to bolster long-shot third-party candidates who have platforms at odds with the Democratic agenda but hold the promise of siphoning Republican votes

As if we are going to be fooled.

She's supporting Democrats who voted that way while abandoning the loyalists of the party?

They DESERVE to LOSE CONTROL of the HOUSE!

The efforts are taking place with varying degrees of stealth. And in many cases, they seem to hold as much risk as potential reward for Democrats, prompting accusations of hypocrisy and dirty tricks from Republicans and the third-party movements that are on the receiving end of the unlikely, and sometimes unwelcome, support....

Ya think?

In Nevada, conservative radio listeners have heard an advertisement promoting the Senate campaign of a “Tea Party of Nevada’’ candidate, Scott Ashjian. The ads also criticize Sharron Angle, the Republican nominee and favored candidate of the actual Tea Party movement in the race for the seat of Senator Harry Reid, the Democratic majority leader.

The ad was sponsored by a group backed by unions and casino and mining companies supporting Reid.

Yeah, if THEY POUR MONEY IN and run negative ads it is OKAY because it is in service to Democrats.  That is certainly the way the agenda-pushing paper is making it seem.

“It is one of the dirtiest moves,’’ said Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, a vice chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee. “It’s not as though the Democrats are playing to compete against the third party — they’re helping to build the third party up to make those votes not count.’’

In response to questions about whether the efforts were being coordinated on a national level, the Democratic National Committee said in a statement, “Republicans have no one to blame but their own ideological intolerance for the bloody civil war on their side.’’

Yeah, IF ONLY LIBERALS would STAND UP on the OTHER END!

Where are you guys?!!!!

And HOW DO YOU HAVE a CIVIL WAR with IDEOLOGICAL INTOLERANCE?

The "bloody civil war" is an ATTEMPT to SAVE the PARTY and the COUNTRY -- like it or not!

Why are there NO DEMOCRATS doing LIKEWISE?

I guess the Globe realized how ridiculous that attempt at agenda-pushing propaganda in service of vote fraud was. That's why they took the printed article down from the web version.
