Kentucky Fried Crash

"A woman crashed her car in the drive-through of a Kentucky Fried Chicken and then assaulted an officer Sunday night, Brockton police said. Amanda Lee Wold-Grover, 26, of Norton, was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police. She struck the concrete base of a light pole on North Montello Street around 10:15 p.m., Lieutenant Robert Sergio said. Her car partially blocked the drive-through and she was not able to move it, Sergio said. He said police believed Wold-Grover had been drinking because of her appearance and the smell of liquor on her. Wold-Grover was arraigned in Brockton District Court Monday on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, threatening to commit a crime, and operating under the influence (second offense), said a spokeswoman for the Plymouth County district attorney’s office, Bridget Norton Middleton. Wold-Grover was released on personal recognizance and a pretrial hearing was slated for June 9."
