Malaysian Monday

First I've seen of it in quite a while:

"The Malaysian government released the most comprehensive report to date on the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a Boeing 777 jetliner one year ago. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is presumed to have crashed into the southern Indian Ocean. No sign of the plane has been found after a year of searching by a host of countries, led by Australia."

"New plane tracking to be tested after Malaysia jet mystery" Associated Press  March 02, 2015

SYDNEY — Australia, Indonesia, and Malaysia will lead a trial of an enhanced method of tracking aircraft over remote oceans to allow planes to be more easily found should they vanish like Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Australia’s transport minister said Sunday.

The announcement comes one week before the anniversary of the disappearance of Flight 370, which vanished last year during a flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing with 239 on board. No trace of it has been found.

Airservices Australia, which manages the country’s airspace, will work with its Malaysian and Indonesian counterparts to test the method, which would enable planes to be tracked every 15 minutes, rather than the previous 30 to 40 minutes, an Australian official said.
