"Former Fitchburg teacher pleads guilty to statutory rape
A former sex-education teacher at a Fitchburg charter school pleaded guilty Friday to statutory rape of a student, said Tim Connelly, a spokesman for the Worcester District Atorney’s Office. Rachelle Gendron, 28, was sentenced to 2½ years in prison followed by 10 years of probation after pleading guilty to statutory rape and enticement of a child under 16 years old, Connelly said. Her probation conditions include registering as a sex offender, wearing a GPS monitor, and having no contact with the victim or any children under 16, Connelly said."
