"North Adams man gets three life sentences
A North Adams man convicted of killing three Pittsfield men has been sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison without the possibility of parole. Hampden Superior Court Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder said Monday at the sentencing of 47-year-old David Chalue that the victims ‘‘were tortured, murdered, and mutilated in a way that is depraved.’’ Chalue was convicted Friday of three counts of first-degree murder and other charges in the August 2011 slayings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton, and Robert Chadwell. Prosecutors say Chalue was one of three men who killed the victims, dismembered their bodies, and buried them in Becket."
