"The Plymouth house fire that killed a 64-year-old man last week was intentionally set by the victim in an apparent suicide, the state fire marshal’s office said on Thursday. Robert Drude was found dead on the first floor of his home on Ellisville Road with a gasoline container and a lighter nearby after the Feb. 17 fire, the office of Acting State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey said in a statement. “Investigators believe that the fire was intentionally set by the victim,” said Jennifer Mieth, a spokeswoman for Ostroskey. The chief medical examiner’s office has not made an official ruling on the cause and manner of Drude’s death, the
fire marshal’s office said."
