"BATTLING THE TALIBAN -- US forces clashed with insurgents in eastern Afghanistan yesterday, fending off a Taliban assault for the second time in two days. Infantry members of the Second Platoon Bravo Company battled for 30 minutes after coming under fir as they set up a combat outpost in Kunar Province, near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The outpost is said to come under attack by the Taliban as much as five times a week, sometimes twice daily (Boston Globe December 30 2010)."
