"Massacre suspect returns to scene" August 15, 2011|Associated Press
OSLO - Held tightly on a police harness, the Norwegian man who confessed to killing 69 people at an island youth camp returned to the crime scene yesterday to reconstruct his actions for police.
During a secret daylong trip, Anders Behring Breivik simulated rifle shots into the water at Utoya Island near Oslo.
A prosecutor also confirmed Norwegian media reports that police had phone calls during the attack that were probably from Breivik himself, but would not say how police had reacted.
According to the daily newspaper Aftenposten, Breivik offered to surrender several times and asked police to call him back, but they did not....
Breivik’s lawyer has said he has confessed to the terror attacks but denies criminal guilt because he thinks the massacre was necessary to save Norway and Europe from Muslims and to punish politicians who have embraced multiculturalism.
Yeah, thanks for the Muslim-hating agenda-pushing media.
Breivik, 32, allegedly described the shootings in detail during an eight-hour tour of the island with up to a dozen police, prosecutor Paal-Fredrik Hjort Kraby said in Oslo.
Breivik walked roughly the same route as the one he allegedly took during the shooting spree and explained what happened with as little interference as possible from police, Hjort Kraby said.
The entire trek was filmed by police and may later be used in court, he added.
