FBI Saves Fox

"FBI may have to wait on Murdoch inquiry" July 25, 2011|Associated Press

Why?

WASHINGTON - The FBI is just cranking up a preliminary review of whether alleged phone hacking and bribery by Rupert Murdoch’s media empire violated US laws, but any resolution may well have to await the outcome of British investigations

Since when?  Think of all the "terrorist" cases in which they cooperate for starters.

We certainly couldn't have the AmeriKan arm collapsing, especially in a nation where that slop is lapped up by so many and is needed to further the agenda.

The FBI’s early fact-gathering could turn into a long saga that tests or reinforces the long-standing cooperation between US and British law enforcement.

WHY would this be an ISSUE? We are talking about CRIMINAL CONDUCT here!!!

Most of the records and witnesses to prove or disprove the allegations are in the hands of British investigators.

That is such a brazen, all-balls-out there statement it is shocking. There are no records at Fox, the NY Post, or any other media enterprises Rupe owns? In fact, I thought I saw something about them deleting e-mail, and here the FBI is going to sit around and wait?

The problem for Murdoch is that his entire business, not just his now-closed British tabloid News of the World, faces investigations on two continents.

It's not really a problem because we were not buying his bulls***.

News Corp., Murdoch’s New York-headquartered parent company, is assembling a gold-plated roster of lawyers to deal with any US legal action....

Court of public opinion that sells papers won't care.  Once the trust is broken, and you see a criminal that has lied before you.... what is the state of the AmeriKan media these days?

For now, US investigators are not only looking at the phone hacking and bribery allegations but also kicking the tires on any other old allegations against Murdoch entities that appear in print or even old court records.

Oh, so THESE THINGS have been circulating for a LONG TIME before this story broke -- and EVERYONE KNEW ALL ABOUT IT except the PUBLIC?

Murdoch’s properties include the Fox television network.

Does it surprise you I never watch Fox, readers?

I will admit to seeing about 30 seconds of Chris Matthews darn near calling Tea Party terrorists today; however, I generally -- I'm so ashamed to admit this -- click on to ZNN, I mean, CNN when I drink from the AmeriKan television media cesspool. Thankfully it is not that often.

That guy needs to watch his back and not fly in any airplanes or drive any cars.

So that is where the FBI does not want to go, huh?

Why? It is not like it would sully the name any more than it is already.
