Teti's Thefts

"Pittsfield man sentenced for stealing from clients

A Pittsfield handyman has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for stealing cash, credit cards, jewelry, and even a boat from his customers, most of whom were older women. Anthony Teti Jr. was sentenced Tuesday in Berkshire Superior Court after pleading guilty to 100 charges including larceny, forgery, identity fraud, and larceny from a person over 60. Prosecutors said Teti, 31, stole from five victims in Pittsfield and Cheshire between April and August last year, then went on spending sprees with the stolen cards and checks, sold stolen jewelry, and even dismantled and tried to sell as scrap a stolen boat."
