"Stoughton man charged with assaulting Massasoit student" by Evan Allen | Globe Staff October 10, 2014
A 24-year-old Stoughton man was arrested Thursday night in connection with an indecent assault last month on the Massasoit Community College campus in Brockton, according to Stoughton police and a college spokeswoman.
Renald Calixte was arrested at his home by Stoughton police based on a warrant obtained by Massasoit Community College police charging him with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, assault and battery, and accosting a person of the opposite sex, officials said.
Calixte is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Brockton District Court, according to college spokeswoman Laurie Maker. She said he is in his first year at the college, but added that the school is in the process of sending him an interim suspension letter.
Calixte allegedly assaulted a female student in the hallway of a building on campus on Sept. 22, one of two sexual assaults that took place on the Brockton campus within four days.
Another Massasoit student, Eliphete Pierre, 22, was charged with rape and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over, for allegedly sexually assaulting another student in the woods near the college on Friday, Sept. 19. Pierre pleaded not guilty to all charges at his arraignment last month, where bail was set at $25,000 cash.
