Gingrich's Hail Mary

Awwwww, incomplete.

"Gingrich plans to stay in race, says Republican contest only in ‘first few minutes’ " by Michael Kranish, Globe Staff

CONCORD, N.H. – “Think of this like the Super Bowl,”  Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said in an interview. “The first few minutes have gone by and we learned how the other team plays. Now we are in the next possession. You have to assume Romney will win here and the question is how big the margin is?”

“Here’s Romney’s problem,” Gingrich said. “His only hope is if Gingrich and Santorum and Paul and Perry somehow split the vote so he gets a plurality of 27 percent. That is not getting him to the nomination.”

After you and Perry drop out Mitt will start racking up 60 percent of the rigged tally while Ron Paul pulls down 35.  Nomination safe, even if Paul gets to speak at convention.

"Gingrich surged in the polls over the fall because of well-received performances in previous debates, but even another solid performance," Dante Scala, associate professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire, said, might do little to lift the former House speaker’s stock among New Hampshire voters, who will likely stick with Romney or be looking for a fresher face such as Santorum....

I didn't watch either so I wouldn't know.
