"19 killed in raid on Nigerian church" by Bashir Adigun and Yinka Ibukun | Associated Press, August 08, 2012
ABUJA, Nigeria — Three men entered a central Nigerian church just before Bible study began, but instead of joining the worship service they opened fire, killing at least 19 people in an attack that shows violence is spreading in the divided nation....
No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Nigeria has faced similar attacks from a radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram....
Ah, the hallmark of an intelligence agency operation.

"At least 25 students killed in northeast Nigeria" by Haruna Umar | Associated Press, October 03, 2012
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — Assailants shot or stabbed to death at least 25 people in the second attack near colleges in Nigeria’s troubled northeast in the last few days, officials said Tuesday.
Authorities believe students may have been behind the attacks in Mubi, but that town and the surrounding region have suffered from killings by a radical Islamist sect.
I'm tired of the AmeriKan media's Nigerian narrative already.
The latest attack occurred between 10 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday when assailants invaded student accommodations outside the campus of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi college, said one of its students, Danjuma Aiso.
Twenty-seven students were killed, forcing the school to close Tuesday, according to Students Affairs officer Mohammed Baba Karewa. However, Adamawa state police spokesman Ibrahim Muhammad said that 25 people had been killed and that they were all men.

"More than 30 civilians killed by Nigeria military" Associated Press, October 09, 2012
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — Soldiers angry about an officer’s killing shot dead more than 30 civilians Monday in a northeastern city long under siege by a radical Islamist sect.
The attack came from soldiers attached to a special military unit on guard in Maiduguri, the spiritual home of the sect known as Boko Haram, in an effort to supposedly protect its citizens from violence.
The killings probably will further antagonize a population already alienated by checkpoints, security force harassment, and the threat of being killed by soldiers who are targets for the sect’s increasingly bloody guerrilla attacks.
At the scene of the civilian killings, no weapons could be found and there was no evidence that the dead belonged to the sect. A soldier nearby, who did not identify himself, claimed the attack was a response to a bombing nearby earlier Monday that he said killed a lieutenant.
The soldiers set fire to about 50 homes and businesses around the area, which is near the Nigerian Union of Journalists state office and other buildings in Maiduguri.

"Suicide blasts at Nigeria military base kill 11" Associated Press, November 26, 2012
KADUNA, Nigeria — Twin suicide car bombs exploded Sunday at a church inside one of Nigeria’s top military bases, killing at least 11 people and wounding another 30 in an embarrassing attack showing the continued insecurity that haunts Africa’s most populous nation.
Gonna need help from Africom, huh?
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attacks, but suspicion fell on the radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram, whose suicide bombers target Sunday worship services in what has become a weekly macabre routine in Nigeria.
This attack in Jaji, however, happened inside a barracks home to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, one of the country’s most important military colleges. It also showed a new dangerous sophistication as the second explosion appeared timed to target responders rushing to aid the wounded 10 minutes after the first blast, officials said....
Oh, that is SUCH a HALLMARK of a FALSE FLAG OPERATION!!

"Attack on Nigerian police leaves two officers dead" Associated Press, November 27, 2012
LAGOS, Nigeria — Gunmen attacked a major police station near Nigeria’s capital Monday that holds members of a radical Islamist sect, freeing prisoners and killing two police officers in the latest assault on the nation’s beleaguered security forces.
The attack on the Special Anti-Robbery Squad’s station near Abuja came as the death toll for suicide car bombings Sunday at a major military base rose to at least 30 people killed, a hospital official said.
While the sect known as Boko Haram has yet to claim the attacks, both strikes bear similarities to other assaults carried out by a group the Nigerian government seems unable to stop.
The attack on the police station began around 2 a.m. Monday, with a ‘‘large number’’ of gunmen killing the officers and allowing about 30 prisoners inside the facility to escape, federal police spokesman Frank Mba said. Two suspected gunmen were arrested after the attack and 25 of the prisoners have been captured, Mba said.
Authorities said none of those who escaped were terrorism suspects and that the five still at large were being held on suspicion of being armed robbers.
An investigation into the attack has begun, Mba said, while the nation’s top police commander has ordered ‘‘water-tight security around all government and police-related facilities nationwide.’’
The robbery squad’s station has come under international scrutiny after Amnesty International published a report this month describing the facility as a former slaughterhouse where chains still hang from the ceiling.
Another government that tortures. What a shock.
Amnesty’s report, which included allegations of Boko Haram suspects being abused and held indefinitely without charges, estimated more than 100 suspected sect members are held at the station.
Nigeria's Gitmo.
At the time of the report’s release, police officials said they would investigate Amnesty’s claims.
Pffft!

Must have been the terrorists.
Btw, that reminds me, isn't Nigeria a top supplier of crude to the U.S.?
And that is where the "terrorists" are running wild, huh?
