May Day: Movie Matinee

"In 1931, New York’s 102-story Empire State Building was dedicated.... One of New York City’s most famous landmarks — the Empire State Building — is a piece of history — an iconic Art Deco skyscraper visited by millions of tourists each year and featured in films like ‘‘King Kong.’’

Not only is it my favorite film, it is also the favorite of someone else from history (although some say otherwise), and it is not that much of a surprise.
