Cops Kill Korean War Vet in Connecticut

"Police fatally shoot military museum chief

A Ridgefield police officer shot and killed the founder of a Connecticut military museum after responding to a domestic incident call at the man’s home, according to Connecticut State Police. John Valluzzo, president of the Military Museum of Southern New England, refused orders to put down his handgun then raised it toward officers before he was shot by a Ridgefield officer on Friday, State Police said. The Hearst Connecticut Media Group reported that Valluzzo, 75, was a decorated Korean War veteran who founded the museum in Danbury in 1995. State Police officials said Sunday they’re investigating the circumstances. The museum’s website called Valluzzo’s death a senseless tragedy."
