Covering Obamacare is Making Me Sick

First it's the lies, and now this:

"In Texas, Obama offers health care pep talk" by JIM KUHNHENN / Associated Press / November 6, 2013

DALLAS (AP) — Beset by hard-to-keep promises and a massive website failure, President Barack Obama traveled to the heart of the ‘‘Obamacare’’ opposition Wednesday, declaring that ideological rigidity was denying health insurance to millions of Americans.

Oh, he passed the buck did he? He accepts full responsibility yesterday, but not really. What a lying slime scum.

Ad-libbing at a synagogue in Dallas, Obama said he was the first to admit he was unhappy with the rocky first month since new insurance exchanges went live.

The guy is delusional, folks. He was the first to admit he was unhappy? That's not what I recall, and I read the Globe faithfully every day. Reporting on this slop has taken up far too much of my time.

He implored volunteers and guides who are working to help consumers to stick with it, casting it as an effort that would, eventually, be well worth the trouble....

It's already cost over $500 million for a piece of $hit system, so how much more patient do we have to be?

‘‘We are going to get his done,’’ Obama said.

Yes, we will $hove this $quare peg up your round butt hole no matter the pain!

The trip to Texas — initially scheduled only as a fundraising visit — comes as his administration seeks to mitigate the damage from the website glitches and from a public outcry over a promise he repeatedly made — if you like your insurance, you can keep it — that turned out to be incorrect for millions of Americans.

Another damage-control add-on to the itinerary.

Before leaving Washington on Wednesday, Obama tried to soothe the concerns of 16 Senate Democrats facing re-election next year during a two-hour White House meeting. Many of those lawmakers are worried that the problem-plagued rollout could negatively affect their races.

It's THEIR HEALTH he is worried about, not yours!

*********************

Highlighting the law’s benefits at Dallas Temple Emanu-El, Obama encouraged participation in the marketplaces set up by the law. He said nothing drives him crazier than knowing there’s good insurance available—if only the website would work properly....

If only! I, sadly when in deep thought, think that this egotist of a president is insane, folks.

Obama has been aggressively promoting the law in the face of numerous setbacks. In addition to the problem-plagued enrollment launch, insurers have been sending some of their customers termination notices because their policies don’t meet federal requirements.

Didn't that come out on a Friday afternoon, too? Agenda-pushing pre$$ tried to hide it again here.

The notices have put Obama and White House officials on the defensive as they attempt to explain Obama’s early vow that under the new law, people who like their existing coverage would be allowed to keep it.

He LIED! No explanations needed!

The visit also cast a bright light on staunch opposition to the law in Republican-leaning Texas....

Maybe I should have an iced tea and cool down.

"Sebelius rejects bipartisan calls for delay in health law" by Robert Pear |  New York Times, November 07, 2013

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration said that the chief information officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, whose office supervised the creation of the troubled website, was retiring.

The official, Tony Trenkle, will step down on Nov. 15 “to take a position in the private sector,” said an e-mail message circulated among agency employees.

Trenkle, reached by telephone Wednesday, refused to discuss his plans.

“I can’t speak with you,” he said.

Trenkle’s retirement is part of a management shake-up disclosed by Michelle Snyder, the chief operating officer of the Medicare agency, who was herself deeply involved in major decisions about the insurance marketplace, or exchange.

The health insurance marketplace has been plagued with problems since it opened Oct. 1.

With many people unable to obtain coverage through the website, lawmakers of both parties have suggested extending the open enrollment period or delaying the financial penalties for people who go without insurance.

But Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of health and human services, turned aside calls for a delay in major provisions of the law.

Yeah, they already gave big business and exemption, suspended the caps on out-of-pocket patient costs, and moved the deadline to have insurance forward -- but Sebelius turns aside calls for a delay.

They want to check your wallet, American citizens, that's all. They want a pile of cash to show investors so they can start selling bonds again.

Senator Max Baucus, Democrat from Montana and chairman of the committee, said he was deeply disappointed with the rollout of the health insurance website. At a hearing with Sebelius in April, Baucus said he foresaw “a huge train wreck coming down” because the administration had done little to educate consumers.

What is not being written in so many words is this has been a kneecap blow to Democrats next year. This will linger. Obama really screwed you all by insisting on going forward with a website everyone one knew was $hit.

But Baucus said on Wednesday, “I believe in this law,” and he refused to join Republicans who have called for Sebelius to resign. He said she needed to stay on the job to “help get the marketplaces working.”

I say we take the whole lot of you over to the Potomac, tar and feather you, and send you all in for a swim.

Senator Orrin G. Hatch of Utah, the senior Republican on the committee, complained that the administration had provided “untruthful answers” to questions about the new program.

“When you were here back in April, you assured us that the implementation was on track, that it was all going smoothly and that the exchanges would be ready to go live on Oct. 1,” Hatch told Sebelius. “Now it appears that your statements from the previous hearing were, at best, misinformed.”

“While I am glad that you are accepting responsibility for this disastrous rollout, I would have preferred that you and the rest of the administration were honest with us to begin with,” Hatch said....
