Chew on This Post For a While

I've got to do some errands so I leave you with this for now:

"Salt water taffy may get N.J. honor" Associated Press   June 06, 2014

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — New Jersey has an official state bird (the goldfinch), flower (the common violet), tree (the red oak), fish (the brook trout), folk dance (the square dance), bug (the honeybee) and even a dinosaur (Hadrosaurus foulkii). One lawmaker reckons that what New Jersey needs now is an official state candy.

Assemblyman John Wisniewski had asked the students to come up with something that deserved to become a law. They wanted to name an official state candy....

Your tax dollars at work!

This is an admission that state government can not address the problems they really afflict us, because they are the problem. They can't do anything about the economy, pollution, the looting of tax funds for the upper classes and themselves, because that is what they are doing -- working on the important issues of our time!

They have to stick to superfluous crap like this -- and you are paying them for it!

Btw, whatever happened to that Christie bridge scandal?

--more--"

Kids really are stupid in this country. What a dumbed-down bunch of future diabetics.

Maybe this will help you wash it down:

"Connecticut governor vetoes chocolate milk ban

Connecticut schoolchildren who enjoy chocolate milk are being granted a reprieve. Governor Dannel P. Malloy vetoed an education bill Thursday that included language potentially prohibiting the sale of nonfat chocolate milk in schools. The ban was apparently an inadvertent result of efforts to reduce sodium levels in beverages provided in Connecticut school cafeterias, as required by federal law. But in his veto message, Malloy said all milk producers add some sodium to nonfat chocolate milk to counteract bitterness caused by adding cocoa. During a public appearance Thursday, Malloy conceded that he enjoys chocolate milk, not to mention chocolate shakes. In his veto message, he said students should ideally drink unflavored nonfat milk because chocolate milk is higher in calories and sugar."

Let's hope the milk isn't full of steroid and growth hormones, how about that first?

Time to put down this post.
