"Number of stay-at-home dads climbs; 21% now say they are choosing to be main caregivers" by Brigid Schulte | Washington Post June 06, 2014
Although the Great Recession contributed to a sharp uptick, by far, the at-home dads in the fastest-growing segment say they’re home taking care of the kids because they want to be, according to a new report by the Pew Research Center, a sign not only of the power of economics in reshaping traditional family structures but of shifting gender norms.
Women earn 25% le$$ than men!
‘‘The assumption that a lot of people make is that the number of stay-at-home dads went up because of the recession,” said Gretchen Livingston, author of the new report. “And while that’s absolutely true, even if you take out that trend altogether, the fact is, the number has been going up over time, regardless. And the biggest increase is in the share of fathers who want to stay home to take care of kids. That’s very striking.’’
Why is men caring about their kids striking to this woman?
While the number of at-home fathers has been on the rise, the actual number is in dispute, in part, Livingston said, because there just isn’t a lot of information collected about dads not at work....
So this is really all a lot of agenda-pushing bulls***, isn't it?
Maybe they should have contacted the NSA. They collect everything.
Mike Stilwell, cofounder of the growing National At-Home Dad Network, said, “The more and more dads taking care of kids becomes acceptable to people, and the more they see how natural it is for a father to do it, I think it’s going to keep getting better,” he said. “I just wish I’d done it earlier.’’
WTF are they TALKING ABOUT?
Why is the NEWSPAPER acting like it is STILL the 1950s?!!??

"At 44th annual Pride Parade, a city celebrates" by Claire McNeill and Dan Adams | Globe Correspondents June 15, 2014
Thousands of people marched and danced through the city’s streets Saturday for the 44th Boston Pride parade and festival, a colorful and upbeat celebration of the region’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities.
Organizers said a record 25,000 people in 200 groups marched in the annual parade, which was led by Governor Deval Patrick and Mayor Martin J. Walsh and ended with a festival on City Hall Plaza.
I can understand him being out front, and begin to under$tand his whole term and all its failures. Eminently blackmail able.
Groups in the parade included bands, advocacy groups, university clubs, churches, and even corporations and political candidates — a sign of Pride’s shift from a fringe demonstration to a mainstream, family-oriented staple of Boston’s event calendar and marker of an ongoing sea change in public opinion on gay issues....
So we are told about public opinion anyway.
Interesting how this small segment of the population, a fringe by any standards although growing due to perversity in the shuls regarding adolescent sexual experimentation and identity, is now a mainstream family staple.
Okay, go make kid, either one one of you.
Pride is celebrated in cities worldwide throughout June, in part to commemorate the anniversary of the June 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City that helped spark the gay rights movement.
Meaning there will be loads of articles coming up regarding this diversionary distraction.
While the Pride celebrations share common elements — a parade, the rainbow flag, music, dancing — each incarnation assumes some of the personality of its host city. In the case of Boston, that means a slightly buttoned-down party....
Any more questions who is behind the agenda-pushing?
The parade was not entirely tame, with some revelers in skimpy garb.
Oh, no!
But the mood was one of levity and playfulness, not overt sexuality.
Oh, good! Of course, that is all in the eyes of the beholder. Glad I didn't love the parade and happy I missed it.
Parade-marchers mingled easily with families in the crowd, as when a man in a chest harness and tight leather pants handed a young boy a Tootsie Roll while the child’s mother smiled and waved....
That's the extremist element that is agenda-pushing agitator that turns most people off to this stuff.
When you get older he will be looking to give you another Tootsie Roll, kids.

Back where we started, right?
The generally glowing coverage tells you this is an approved, agenda-pushing protest -- much like those regarding global warming, illegal immigrants, and any U.S.-fomented coup or overthrow attempt. The true people's protests are easy to spot. They are either ignored or insulted.
UPDATE:
"A Virginia man shot his wife and their two young children to death on Father’s Day and then killed himself, police said."
