Cruiser Snoozer Cunliffe

"Man allegedly snoozes in cruiser after posting bail" by Trisha Thadani | Globe correspondent   August 11, 2014

A 33-year-old Connecticut man posted bail at the District D-4 police station, then went outside and fell asleep in the front seat of a police cruiser, Boston police said.

Nicholas Cunliffe told officers he was “just looking for a place to sleep,” police said.

At about 2:50 a.m. Sunday, police were flagged down by a man near Hemenway and Boylston streets who said his taxi had just been stolen, police said in a posting on their blog. Officers were able to stop the vehicle a short distance away and placed Cunliffe under arrest.

He was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, police said.

Shortly after Cunliffe posted bail and left the South End police station, officers found him sleeping in the front seat of a cruiser parked out front, police said.

Cunliffe was then charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

It was unclear how Cunliffe got into the cruiser.

Really?

So who left the cruiser unlocked?
