Israel Makes Things Clear to New York Times

It's not that unusual when you really step back and look. It's why the protests against genocide have been forgotten and why the pendulum has swung in Israel’s favor (awesome article with outstanding commentary).

Arab Spring Benefited Israel

New York Times Clears Reports Through Israeli Censors

This one made it!

"Israel strikes UN shelter, retreats; 10 dead, 35 hurt as Gaza school hit; Hamas tunnels reportedly razed" by Steven Erlanger and Fares Akram | New York Times   August 04, 2014

JERUSALEM — Israel withdrew most of its ground troops from the Gaza Strip on Sunday, but an Israeli air force missile struck near the entrance of a UN school sheltering displaced Gazans in Rafah, killing 10 people and wounding 35 others.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called the strike a “moral outrage and a criminal act” and demanded that those responsible for the “gross violation of international humanitarian law” be held accountable.

He then began castigating Hamas for the missing Israeli soldier.

The State Department also condemned what it called a “disgraceful shelling.”

John Kerry was dutifully insulted soon after.

Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, an Israeli military spokesman, confirmed the bulk of ground troops had been pulled out of Gaza after the military concluded it had destroyed most of the tunnel network, the Associated Press reported.

As if I would believe anything he said.

But with Hamas firing dozens of rockets into Israeli territory on Sunday and its officials vowing to continue the fight, it was uncertain whether Israel could unilaterally end the war.

Well, they UNILATERALLY BEGAN IT!

Btw, this seems like a GOOD TIME to MENTION that the alleged Israeli teen captures were IN the WEST BANK and NOT DONE BY HAMAS! ISIS claimed responsibility, and even the Israeli police said Hamas had nothing to do with it.

Yet we got a week's worth of lies and cover by the NYT so Israel could carry forward this preconceived agenda!

Even as Israel moved to reduce fighting on the ground in Gaza, violence continued around Rafah, near Egypt.

This stuff has obviously been not only cleared by the Israeli censors, it READS LIKE THEY WROTE IT!

On Sunday, 71 Palestinians died, raising the total to 1,822, with 9,370 injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Every one of those numbers is attached to a unique human being whose remains have been blown apart (photos that are all over the web but rare in the Jewish-controlled AmeriKan media), but the Zionist War Organ here just rolls the numbers by and moves along.

Estimates of the number of Palestinian combatants killed varied widely, with some Israeli officials suggesting that number was more than 700, while the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Saturday that of the 1,525 dead Palestinians to that point, “at least 1,033 are civilians, of whom 329 are children and 187 are women.”

Israel cut the death toll in half like they have LITERALLY been cutting Palestinians in half from some of the photos I've seen.

The Israelis have said that on their side, 64 soldiers and three civilians have died.

I cared a couple of days ago. Now, f*** Israel.

Witnesses near the Rafah school, where about 3,000 Palestinians had sought shelter, said that those killed or hurt were waiting in line for food supplies when a missile hit.

That is STANDARD PRACTICE for ISRAEL since the beginning of this.

The Israeli army said it had targeted three members of the group Islamic Jihad on a motorcycle near the school with a missile, not the school itself, and was investigating a possible secondary explosion when the motorcycle was hit.

Yeah, right, blame it on the Palestinians. That is fucking getting old.

A State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said “the suspicion that militants are operating nearby does not justify strikes that put at risk the lives of so many innocent civilians.”

Unless it is a US drone strike ordered by Obama.

With its stated task of destroying Hamas’s tunnel network into Israel within days of being finished, Israel seemed to be trying to de-escalate the war without negotiating with Hamas, much as it did at the end of the last major Gaza operation, in 2009, when Israel declared a unilateral cease-fire.

Pfft!

All forgotten by the Jewish war media.

Lerner said some Israeli forces are still operating inside Gaza, especially around Rafah, and the air force is continuing to bomb Gaza.

Then ALL THE PRINT ABOVE has been ISRAELI PUBLIC RELATIONS SPEW!

“It’s changing gears but it’s still ongoing,” he said. Israel has never specified how many troops are operating in Gaza, saying only “thousands.”

In other words, the deescalation and ending the offensive blah-blah was/is ALL BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!

Mohammed Muafai, who works for the United Nations, said he was inside the school when the missile hit. In a telephone interview, he said there were bodies on the ground, including two guards and a sanitation worker. He said seven more people from displaced families also died, including one selling flavored ice.

Dr. Abdullah Shehada, director of the Abu Youssef Al-Najjar hospital in Rafah, whose staff was moved to the smaller Kuwaiti Hospital, said more than 30 people with injuries were brought in. “We call for halting the Israeli operation around Abu Youssef Al-Najjar so we can return,” he said.

Last Wednesday, 21 Palestinians who sought refuge in a UN school in the Jabaliya refugee camp were killed, Health Ministry officials said, in a series of predawn strikes. The Israeli military has said that it did not target the school and that Palestinian fighters were operating within 200 yards.

So that what, justified it?

After an earlier strike on a school serving as a shelter in Beit Hanoun that killed 16, the Israelis acknowledged they fired a mortar round that hit the courtyard but insisted that the yard had been empty at the time.

You know, once is a mistake, twice is a pattern, and THREE TIMES is DEFINITE INTENT and CRIMINAL!!!!!!!

Earlier Sunday, airstrikes killed at least 30 Palestinians, medics and witnesses said.

Israel said that 55 rockets were fired from Gaza on Sunday and that its troops killed eight Hamas fighters in southern Gaza.

Israeli officials on Sunday defended their decision to announce the death of a missing Israeli soldier at 2 a.m., only hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on national television to say that he had no new information about the case.

And THERE YOU GO! That MISSING SOLDIER was DEAD, they KNEW HE WAS DEAD just like they did the three allegedly kidnapped teens, and yet it was OBFUSCATED so that Israel could advance its agenda.

How does the AMERIKAN MEDIA EVER THINK WE WILL EVER BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY EVER SAY AGAIN?

Army spokesmen said Sunday that the declaration of the death of Second Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, 23, was made as soon as possible and that DNA tests had been carried out on partial remains.

Well, WHEN did they RECOVER those REMAINS, huh?

The lieutenant and two colleagues were attacked by a Hamas squad that emerged from a tunnel Friday, the army said. One of the Hamas fighters had exploded a suicide belt.

“We can’t determine if he was killed on the ground or from the blast,” said Lerner, the army spokesman. “The indications on the ground are that he was killed in the initial attack.”

Did you hear something, readers?

He said that the tests had been carried out during the Sabbath because it was an emergency situation. The relatives of Goldin had made emotional appeals earlier Saturday, before Netanyahu spoke, that Israel and its army not leave the lieutenant behind, and they said that they believed he was still alive.

The family buried him Sunday in an emotional funeral attended by thousands at the military cemetery in Kfar Saba, near Tel Aviv.

Too bad the Zionist-controlled AmeriKan media doesn't get into such detail regarding Palestinians and their funerals, huh? Israeli censors must be striking that stuff.

Israel has said that the attack occurred during an agreed cease-fire with Hamas; Hamas has said variously it took place before the cease-fire went into effect and it had never agreed to a cease-fire that would allow Israel to continue destroying the tunnel system. But the episode ended a cease-fire effort pressed by Washington and the United Nations.

A one-sided cease fire that was essentially Israel's position.

"Obliterate them completely"

Israel must have struck those, too.

"French president offers Gaza foes WWI lesson" Associated Press   August 04, 2014

PARIS — President Francois Hollande of France commemorated the 100th anniversary of World War I on Sunday with an appeal to rivals in the Gaza conflict to put animosities aside, just as France and Germany have done.

This after his nation banned protests against what Israel is doing. What an asshole!

In an impassioned speech in Vieil Armand in Alsace, Hollande paid homage to those who lost their lives after Germany declared war on France on Aug. 3, 1914.

See: One of the Best Anti-War Statements in a Movie

Phoque off, Hollande.

But he recalled that former enemies France and Germany put aside their differences to pave the way for peace, and that others do the same.

‘‘The history of France and Germany shows that will can always triumph over fatalism and the people who were regarded as hereditary enemies can, in a few years, reconciliate,’’ he said.

He called on the world to take the lasting nature of Franco-German relations as a lesson in peacemaking. He said world powers should seek to impose a cease-fire in Gaza, ‘‘to stop the suffering of the civilian population.’’

They can't, not on Israel. That would require going to war with them, and as we have seen NATO only makes war on Muslims.

President Joachim Gauck of Germany joined the French leader for the ceremony— the first time Germany’s head of state has attended.

Soldiers bitterly contested Vieil Armand because the summit offered a commanding view of the Rhine Valley. Armies at the time deemed its capture as strategically important and some 30,000 died in fighting. The cemetery contains the remains of 12,000 unidentified soldiers.

Hollande also put in place a foundation stone for a museum on the site that will open in 2017.

I'm sick of worshipping wars that only benefitted Zionist Jews. Sorry.

NEXT DAY UPDATES:

"Ex-enemies join for WWI anniversary" Associated Press   August 05, 2014

SAINT-SYMPHORIEN, Belgium — On Monday, leaders of the former enemies Belgium, France, Britain, and Germany stood together in a spirit of reconciliation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of conflict that became known as The Great War.

On Aug. 4, 1914, Germany invaded neutral Belgium as part of a planned attack on France, forcing Britain to declare war by nightfall and unleashing the biggest conflagration the world had known.

‘‘It opened Pandora’s Box,’’ said President Joachim Gauck of Germany, who openly spoke of ‘‘the great injustice’’ of invading Belgium and the wanton destruction of the university library in Leuven and other civilian brutalities during the first weeks of the war.

Gauck's guilt.

"Israel slows Gaza attacks, says tunnels destroyed" by Steven Erlanger | New York Times   August 05, 2014

The first question is, did it pass the Israeli censor?

JERUSALEM — Claiming it had achieved most of its objectives and pressured by Western allies to stop causing civilian casualties in Gaza, Israel moved to wind down its operations there on Monday, either unilaterally or through a new Egyptian-brokered cease-fire announced late in the day.

The Egyptian proposal, which in principle was to start at 8 a.m. local time Tuesday, was created “out of concern for innocent lives and to prevent further bloodshed,” and would initially last for 72 hours, an Egypt Foreign Ministry statement said.

Both Israel and Hamas indicated they would respect the cease-fire, which would be followed by talks on a more lasting arrangement. But given the history of broken cease-fires in the conflict, it was unclear that both sides would honor Egypt’s proposal, which was similar to one previously rejected by Hamas.

Earlier in the day, Israel appeared to be positioning itself to conclude its military operation in Gaza, with or without a formal cease-fire agreement.

With Israeli troops essentially finished destroying Hamas’s tunnels into Israel and having dealt Hamas’s military capacity a significant blow, senior Israeli officials said they were moving troops to defensive positions on both sides of the border.

Meaning Israel will be OCCUPYING GAZA!

Notice how this thing is reading like an Israeli government press release?

The army — and especially the air force — will respond to attacks and rocket fire by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, but the hope, Israeli officials say, is that Gaza fighters will not match rhetoric with action and that the conflict will slowly wind down and stop.

Despite the slowing of violence Monday, Israel attacked 38 targets, the Associated Press reported. At least 20 people were killed, including three children: an 8-year-old girl in the Shati refugee camp and a 12-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister in the southern border town of Rafah, according to Palestinian medical officials.

Since July 8, the war has taken nearly 1,900 Palestinian lives, most of them civilians. Sixty-four Israeli soldiers have also died, as well as two Israeli civilians and a Thai laborer who worked in Israel.

We get the body count and that's it. No names of Palestinians, nothing. Nothing on current conditions in the strip.

The latest Israeli actions in the nearly month-old Gaza conflict are unilateral.

(Blog editor just shakes his head; this is worthless)

After the quick breakdown of last Friday’s cease-fire, negotiated with Hamas through Qatar, Israeli officials said they no longer believed that Hamas would implement agreements. Nor did they want to “reward” Hamas, they said, for its rocket and tunnel war.

But Israel is willing to see what the Egyptian government could achieve with Palestinian negotiators in Cairo. Israel said it is not opposed to a new arrangement with Hamas and the Palestinians, nor did it remove the possibility of renewing the negotiated cease-fire agreement that ended the brief, last conflict in Gaza, in November 2012.

That agreement called for opening the crossings in Gaza, easing the movement of people and transfer of goods, and extending fishing limits.

And Israeli officials said they were conscious of the need for the reconstruction of Gaza, which will require significant imports of building materials, but wanted it supervised by Egypt through Rafah, at the Gaza-Egypt border, or by Israel through its main crossing at Kerem Shalom.

Israel also is concerned about the possible spread of violence carried out by Palestinians enraged over the Gaza conflict.

Then the OPERATION FAILED because we were told this was to quiet the Palestinians!!!!

In an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem on Monday, a Palestinian drove a heavy construction vehicle over a pedestrian, killing him, and overturned a nearly empty bus, injuring three people, before police shot the driver to death.

Later, a gunman shot and wounded a soldier at a bus stop near Jerusalem’s Hebrew University, escaping by motorcycle, in what police said was a suspected terrorist attack.

What is this, more false flag hoaxes by Israel?

And even if not, notice the one-sided bias in favor of Jewish victims! I get paragraphs and paragraphs on this and nothing on Palestinians but a body count!

There were no immediate claims of responsibility. But Hamas said in a statement: “We praise the heroic and brave operations in Jerusalem, which come as a natural reaction to the crimes and massacres by the Occupation against our people in Gaza.”

Well, Hamas is responsible for everything, even an alleged kidnapping of Jewish teens they had nothing to do with.

On Monday, the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, met with the southern command of the Israel Defense Forces, which is leading the war in Gaza, and said that the campaign there was continuing.

“What is about to conclude is the I.D.F. action to deal with the tunnels, but this operation will end only when quiet and security are restored to the citizens of Israel for a lengthy period,” Netanyahu said. “We struck a very severe blow at Hamas and the other terrorist organizations. We have no intention of attacking the residents of Gaza.”

There is concern about further Palestinian violence now, or so my agenda-pushing Jewish War Daily tells me, so the operation has failed!

Of course, why would the Palestinians commit violence at this stage? World opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of them, save for slavish western governments.

Tzipi Livni, an adviser to Netanyahu, said Israel no longer wants to negotiate a cease-fire with Hamas, but would be happy for Egypt and President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority to try.

Livni has been pushing for a unilateral cease-fire to be followed by multilateral diplomacy, with Israel seeking support for the reconstruction of Gaza in return for demilitarization.

How about Israel demilitarizing instead before they "rebuild" Gaza? Maybe if they hadn't told lies to follow through with this premeditated murder they wouldn't have destroyed the place.

This is obviously Israeli propaganda passing itself off as a New York Times report.

Few believe that Hamas will voluntarily disarm or stop trying to resist Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands. But Hamas’s effectiveness may be much weaker.

Yup, Israel was the winner of this round. See you in two more years.

For Israel, the strategic situation has changed with the takeover in Egypt by the former military general, Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, who a year ago overthrew President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is an ally of Hamas.

That gets you back to the top of this post, doesn't it?

Morsi did little to prevent smuggling through tunnels, which gave Hamas tax receipts and a mechanism to import cement, weapons, and military advisers from Iran and Hezbollah, Israeli officials said.

Oh, right, Iran has military advisers on the ground in Gaza! Good Lord!

This from a paper that covers up CIA and Mossad involvement in all sorts of places!
