Gore Gasses Up D.C. As Nation Freezes

Even the Globe is throwing in the (front-page) towel:

"Fallen spirits; Winter's accumulations deepen gloom in Hub" by Michael Levenson, Globe Staff | January 29, 2009

Retirement accounts have evaporated. The world is in turmoil. Jobs, if they're still there, seem at risk of washing down the drain like so much slush on the street. And now, as if to pile on, winter has become a parade of insults: dump upon dump of snow, followed by sleet, wind, and bitter cold. And it's only January.

"I'm sick of winter already," grumbled Kerry Guiliano, a downtown office worker who was being pelted with snow and rain as she trudged along State Street, swathed in a heavy coat and wool hat, enduring the seventh storm this season. Temperatures have been far colder and snowfall much heavier than average....

Boston has been blasted with 49 inches of snow so far this year, more than double the average at this date of 22 inches. Temperatures this frigid month are also well below the January average of 29.3 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. On many days the temperature plummeted more than 15 degrees below the historical average for that day....

That is NOT GLOBAL WARMING, and the public knows it!

Who you gonna believe, the MSM or your lying senses?

--more--"

Nevertheless, we get this from Al Bore:

"Other US crises shouldn't derail action on global warming, Gore tells Congress

WASHINGTON - Former vice president Al Gore presented lawmakers yesterday with a new inconvenient truth: Action on global warming cannot wait....

Umm, Al, that was a bad day down there to give testimony down there on this issue.

Also consider: "This month's temperatures are running 3 to 4 degrees colder than normal"

OR MORE (see above article)!

"The EPA attributed the decrease to fewer days with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees"

That was this past summer!

Of course, THIS is Al's REAL AGENDA (so his carbon-credit companies can get rich trading immeasurable air on the taxpayer's dime):

"Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."

Clear, America? How much you wanna bet you'll get one?

In three hours of testimony that at times looked like a sequel to the Oscar-winning documentary based on his book "An Inconvenient Truth," Gore pressed Congress to pass President Obama's economic stimulus plan as a first step to bringing greenhouse gases under control.

Pffffffttt!!! The only greenhouse gas that is spewing is YOU, Al!!!

He also pushed for decisive action on a bill this year to limit emissions of heat-trapping gases, saying the legislation is needed for the United States to take a leading role in negotiations on a new international climate treaty. To underscore his point, Gore flipped through more than four dozen slides showing melting ice caps, Western wildfires, deforestation, and oxygen-depleted seas.

Yeah, FROM WHEN? 1996?

Six months ago, Gore called for the country to produce all of its electricity from carbon-free sources within the next 10 years. Since then, the recession has deepened and the government - which is fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan - has spent hundreds of billions of dollars to save financial institutions and keep automakers from bankruptcy.

Yeah, I NEVER HEAR HIM calling for an END to the EMPIRE and WAR MACHINE -- or NASCAR for that matter!!!

In fact, that last one is one you should take up, Al, not me; coming from a New England Yankee, suggesting that NASCAR be shut down might not go over to well.

Gore told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee recession and wars should not delay climate change legislation.

Translation: the agenda shall be advanced. Ante up, 'murka!

Pffffffffffftttt!

Update: Icy blast from Siberia set to bring snow and give Britain its coldest winter for 13 years
