HRW's One-Sided War Report

This is one reason why I always take western human rights groups reports with a grain of salt. I'm not saying they do a bad job; however, what I am saying is they consistently take a western-centric perspective on everything -- and it has destroyed their credibility (as well as their funding line) with me.

"Georgian officials cooperated with the effort. Russian officials did not respond to requests for information"

Somehow that isn't an issue when the culprit is ISRAEL!

Anyhow, guess which way HRW's report leans

"Study faults both sides on Georgia war abuses" by Ellen Barry, New York Times | January 24, 2009

MOSCOW - Human Rights Watch released a report yesterday on the brief August war in Georgia, accusing both Russia and Georgia of using indiscriminate force on civilians and lambasting Russia for standing by while South Ossetian militias and irregulars carried out execution-style killings, rapes, abductions, and beatings.

Seems pretty even-handed, huh?

The war began Aug. 7, when Georgia attacked the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali. Russia responded....

But BOTH are to be blamed!!!

In the early days of the war, Moscow accused Georgia of "genocide," and said 2,000 people had been killed in the shelling of Tskhinvali. Human Rights Watch rejected those claims as exaggerated, and called on Russia to acknowledge that more recent assessments put the number of deaths between 162 and 400.

Oh, SOMEONE INFLATING NUMBERS, huh? They must have been Jewish sources! Btw, HRW, how do you know there were not more -- not that you'd be low-balling western-allied Georgia's transgressions.

The report includes a detailed description of Ossetian rampages in ethnic Georgian villages in South Ossetia, in which houses were systematically looted, torched, and bulldozed, sometimes as their inhabitants looked on. It concluded that the militias' intent was "to ethnically cleanse these villages."

Yeah, but NOTHING on the GEORGIAN ATROCITIES PERPETRATED in THEIR INVASION!! Hey, HRW ONLY TALKED to ONE SIDE!

The report was based on interviews with 460 victims and witnesses. Georgian officials cooperated with the effort. Russian officials did not respond to requests for information.

Criticism of the Georgian side centers on the shelling of Tskhinvali, starting the night of Aug. 7. The report called the Georgian shelling "indiscriminate," and a violation of international humanitarian law, in large part because it used Grad multiple rocket launching systems, which are notoriously inaccurate.

Funny how the ISRAELIS were SO TERRIFIED of the Gazan grads this past month, huh, readers? So GRAB a SHOVEL, reader, because the ZIONIST MSM is SLINGING SHIT AGAIN!

Human Rights Watch also found that Georgia used cluster bombs, weapons that eject dozens or hundreds of bomblets and spread them over a large area.

Again, NO UPROAR!!!! WESTERN WAR CRIMES provoke NO OUTRAGE!

The report characterized some Russian air and artillery strikes as indiscriminate, saying in some cases strikes fell half a mile away from military targets. The report found that Russia also used cluster bombs, something authorities have denied.

I wouldn't doubt it, but there is an important distinction: They did it in RESPONSE and DEFENSE!!!

I'm getting kind of sick of lying, bullshit MSM everyday, readers. I may stop purchasing again -- and stop visiting their websites, too.
