Obama's Quiet Abortion

"Obama quietly lifts ban on abortion funding; President signs executive order" by Globe Staff And Associated Press | January 24, 2009

.... Yesterday, President Obama quietly signed an executive order ending the ban on federal funds for international groups that promote or perform abortions. In contrast to his orders earlier this week, including banning torture, reporters were not invited to record the moment....

Isn't it odd how theGlobe left out anti-Abortion protests ("thousands of marchers") this past week?

Obama flashes irritation in press room

Senator John F. Kerry, the new chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, called the order "a very powerful signal to our neighbors around the world that the United States is once again back in the business of good public policy, and ideology no longer blunts our ability to save lives around the globe."

Only a GLOBALIST could call ABORTION "SAVING LIVES!"

Groups opposed to abortion rights, , however, criticized the move. "President Obama not long ago told the American people that he would support policies to reduce abortions, but today he is effectively guaranteeing more abortions by funding groups that promote abortion as a method of population control," said Douglas Johnson, legislative director of the National Right to Life Committee.

That's what it is alright (see commentary below)!

Obama also said he plans to work with Congress to restore funding to the UN Population Fund. The Bush administration had barred US money from the fund, contending that its work in China supported a Chinese family planning policy of coercive abortion and involuntary sterilization - an allegation the fund denied.

Of course the death-dealing organization would look the other way.

For some good commentary on the Obama decision regarding abortion, read this:

"Obama's abortion stance could get ugly.

Besides making abortion on demand a "fundamental right" throughout the United States, FOCA would effectively nullify informed consent laws, waiting periods, health safety regulations for abortion clinics, etc.

Furthermore, medical professionals and institutions that refused abortions also would lose legal protections. FOCA would expose individuals, organizations, and governments - including federal, state, and local government agencies - to costly civil actions for purported violations of the act.

States and individual rights do not seem to matter to a federal government that acts like a 'Father Knows Best' authoritarian figure.

Potential domestic 'stimulus' funds will be diverted all over the world.

President Obama yesterday lifted a ban on U.S. funding for international health groups that perform abortions, promote legalizing the procedure or provide counseling about terminating pregnancies.

Obama said he would also work with Congress to restore U.S. funding support for the United Nations Population Fund "to reduce poverty, improve the health of women and children, prevent HIV/AIDS and provide family planning assistance to women in 154 countries."

Much of this funding will be going to Africa for population control, a long term agenda of the elite. source"

For most of my life (having been raised in socially liberal Massachusetts), I've supported abortion rights. It was not until the last couple of years when I discovered what agenda-pushing organs the newspapers really are that I became opposed.

The fact is: IF the AGENDA-DRIVING, CORPORATE MSM is FOR something, then I MUST be OPPOSED -- NO MATTER WHAT it is!!!!!
