LONDON—Plans are under way to allow TV cameras into some courts in England and Wales so the public can judge the judicial system's performance, British officials said Tuesday.
Justice Secretary Kenneth Clarke's announcement was met by mixed reactions Tuesday. Some welcomed it, saying it would enhance transparency, while others said they feared cameras in court may turn justice into a reality show or a media circus, such as that surrounding the murder trial of O.J. Simpson in the 1990s....
