"Malden man indicted on child rape, human trafficking charges
A Malden man who is already classified as a Level 3 sex offender by the state was arraigned Friday after being indicted in connection with efforts to entice teenage victims into commercial sexual activity using marijuana and alcohol, according to the office of Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley. Thomas V. Rose, 62, pleaded not guilty in Suffolk Superior Court to charges including child enticement, child rape, and human trafficking of a minor, Conley’s office said. Bail was set at $250,000. In July, Winthrop police found Rose in his SUV with a 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl, whom investigators believe Rose gave cash and marijuana in an effort to recruit them into commercial sexual activity, and he allegedly raped the 15-year-old, according to Conley’s office."
