Girls Rugby Game Cancelled
" A 73-year-old woman whose car collided head-on with a school bus Wednesday afternoon in Sudbury died from her injuries, according to the Middlesex County district attorney’s office. Patricia Metz was driving a sedan that crashed into a school bus carrying 25 players from Algonquin Regional High School’s girls’ rugby team in Northborough. None of the students or the bus driver were seriously injured, but Metz was trapped inside her car and had to be extricated using the Jaws of Life. She was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where she died from her injuries. Nine students and the bus driver were taken to area hospitals. Students were on their way to Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School for a game. Sudbury police and State Police assigned to the district attorney’s office are investigating."
