"Gasoline currently flowing uphill at pumps; At average of $1.75, regular unleaded is 12-cents higher in 2 weeks" by Erin Ailworth, Globe Staff | January 24, 2009
After months of falling, falling, falling, Massachusetts gasoline prices are creeping back up.
A gallon of regular unleaded now averages $1.75 a gallon, according to numbers from both AAA Southern New England and the state Department of Energy Resources. That's up 12 cents in the past two weeks, but still far below last summer's prices, which topped $4 a gallon.
But the reason for the rise is not readily apparent, according to AAA spokesman Arthur Kinsman. Despite recent fluctuations on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the price of crude oil - which usually determines the price of gasoline - remains low overall, he said.
"There's a little bit of a disconnect," Kinsman said of the uptick at the pumps. He predicted a "long, slow rise" in prices as the calendar gets closer to the prime driving months of spring and summer, when almost every year prices rise....
Yeah, MANIPULATED like CLOCKWORK!
Okay, here's the drill, USA citizen....
1. Pull up to pump
2. Get out of car
3. Drop pants
4. Insert gas pump into ass
5. Pump gas
