"5 hurt as duck boat crashes downtown; Hits 6 cars after object impedes driver’s braking" by Christopher J. Girard, Globe Correspondent | July 17, 2010
A duck boat touring downtown Boston yesterday suffered a brake problem and was not able to stop before it plowed into six other vehicles, injuring five people, State Police said....
The operator also took a drug test and was sent home for the day, but the company is not punishing him at this time, said Cindy Brown, general manager of Boston Duck Tours....
Passengers were transferred to another duck boat, Old Gloria, to continue their tour, Brown said....
Nah, I think I'll just get off here, thanks.
It was the second accident in four days involving duck boats. Old Gloria and two other vehicles were involved in an accident Tuesday near Government Center when three women on their way to a wedding tried unsuccessfully to maneuver their car around the duck boat....
I must have missed that boat.
