Not me, and I cringe when I hear the name in chit-chat from those around me.
"Anthony doesn't testify at murder trial" July 01, 2011|Associated Press
ORLANDO - Casey Anthony did not take the stand in her murder trial as defense lawyers wrapped up their case yesterday without presenting concrete evidence that Anthony's 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, accidentally drowned.
Her lawyers also did not produce any witnesses bolstering the assertion made in last month's opening statements that Anthony had acted without apparent remorse in the weeks after her daughter's death because she had been molested by her father as a child, resulting in emotional problems....
The prosecutors' case relied on circumstantial and forensic evidence, and it did have holes.
They always do; however, as we have seen in cases like the JFK assassination and 9/11 circumstances are often more revealing than testimony. People can lie; circumstances -- no matter what you think of them -- never do.
They had no witnesses who saw the killing or saw Anthony with her daughter's body. And there was no certain proof that the child suffocated....
Then it's an acquittal, right?
--more--"
Regardless of the evidence -- and I know next-to-nothing of this case because I have followed none of it -- I expect she will be convicted because someone must pay for the death of the little girl.
