State Tax Holiday a Dud

I'm in retail to a certain extent, and it was slooooowwwww..... despite the promotion:

Tax holiday puts Bay State shoppers to test

Think I will believe anything the state or mouthpiece media report?

What I object to most is the framing of the argument that the benevolent, generous state is giving you something (didn't one year, remember?). The alleged motivation is it will increase sales, but when you say why not eliminate it altogether the response from authority is no, no, can't do that.

Yeah, can't stop sending tax loot to banks for debt service, tossing it to agenda-pushing concerns and other well-connected corporations (Hollywood got an $82 million tax check and was exempted from the sales tax?), or keeping the political machine running with generous pensions and perks (yeah, I know, they reformed themselves even though nothing has changed over there).

And why did I still get charged a tax on my coffee?

And I must admit, the papers also did a great job convincing everyone the cop, firefighter, and teacher are responsible for all your money woes. The fact that Massachusetts of all states rolled back collective bargaining rights tells you all you need to know. Corporate ca$h is now king.
