Don't you wish your government felt that way about you, American?
"The raids immediately set off a firestorm on Twitter, where they were compared to Stalin’s purges of 1937. The hashtag Hello 1937 quickly trended to the top of Russian Twitter - though these searches were far different from 1937, when henchmen knocked in the middle of the night, and neighbors looked away. These searches were carried out with witnesses, including journalists summoned by Twitter alerts."

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” -― Aleksandr I. Another obsession of my mouthpiece media:
"Israel asks Russia to pressure Iran over nuclear program" by Aron Heller | Associated Press, June 26, 2012
JERUSALEM — Israel urged the visiting Russian president Monday to step up pressure on Iran to curb its suspect nuclear program, but there was no sign of any concessions from Vladimir Putin.
With Russia an influential voice in the international debate over Iran, the outcome of the 24-hour visit could have deep implications for whether Israel decides to strike Tehran’s nuclear facilities or give the international community more time to find a diplomatic solution.
Israel and Russia enjoy deep economic and cultural relations bolstered by the more than 1 million immigrants from the former Soviet Union who now live in the Jewish state.
The criminals and Jewish mafia that were kicked out of Russia.
But they have deeply differing approaches to Iran’s nuclear program and the uprising in Tehran’s close ally Syria.
In a brief statement after meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Putin said their talks covered the situation in Iran and the bloody uprising in Syria, but added that he saw negotiations as the only solution for such matters.
Netanyahu countered with far more detail.
‘‘We agree that nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran pose a grave danger, first for Israel but also for the region and the whole world,’’ he said. ‘‘Two things need to be done now: We need to bolster the sanctions and bolster the demands.’’
Netanyahu insisted that all uranium enrichment in Iran must cease and its underground nuclear facility near Qom be dismantled. He also said that ‘‘the killing and horrible suffering of the Syrian people’’ must be stopped.
Not only am I tired of the lying, the arrogance, the unreasonableness, and all the other special qualities of the chosen people, I'm sick of the fucking whining.
The trip to Israel was the second for Putin, who visited seven years ago. On Tuesday, he will head to the West Bank and Jordan.
I predict those visits will not receive as much attention from my s*** media.
Israel sees Iran as its most dangerous enemy because it is convinced the country’s nuclear program is meant to build bombs and not for peaceful purposes such as energy production, as Iran insists.
They said the same about Iraq, 'member?
The fears are compounded by Tehran’s frequent calls for Israel’s destruction, support for anti-Israel militants, and arsenal of ballistic missiles.
Okay, the first statement is a damnable lie; the second one is damn hypocritical; and on the last one, what kind of arsenal does Israel have?
Israel hinted of using a military strike. Israel itself is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons....
Not only believed, they admitted it -- and tried to sell them to apartheid South Africa.
Another Israeli concern is Syria.
Thus my mouthpiece media's concern.

Israel is afraid Russian weapons in Syria will fall into the hands of allied Hezbollah militants in neighboring Lebanon, something Israel says happened during its 2006 war with the Lebanese group.
Well, if Israel says it, it must be a lie.
Putin began his official visit at a ceremony to inaugurate a Soviet Red Army memorial in the coastal city of Netanya, paying tribute to fallen soldiers of World War II that included tens of thousands of Jews.
‘‘The memory of the fallen is sacred in my eyes,’’ Putin said, facing the sculpture of a massive pair of wings on a wind-swept hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. “I am moved that you feel the same thing in Israel.’’
President Shimon Peres linked the past to the challenges of the present. ‘‘I am confident that Russia, which defeated fascism, will not allow similar threats today,’’ he said. “Not the Iranian threat. And not the bloodshed in Syria.’’
And not yours.
At a state dinner later Monday, Peres pressed Putin further.
‘‘I ask of you again: Raise your voice against a nuclear Iran, against destroying a people,’’ he said. “You know well the depth of sensitivity of the Jewish people when we are threatened with destruction.’’

Putin responded that Russia has a national interest to secure peace and quiet in Israel but did not elaborate further.

"October Surprise: Will Israel Attack Iran Before the Election?

June 25, 2012
On Saturday, the Israeli newspaper Haartez reported a senior Israeli official as saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to attack Iran prior to the elections in the U.S....
On Sunday, Michael Carmichael suggested the attack would occur during the Democrat national convention.
“Military experts have long agreed that the ‘sweet spot’ for an Israeli attack on Iran will be this coming September or October precisely because of the timing of the US presidential election cycle,” Carmichael explains.
“For maximum political impact and minimal diplomatic responsiveness, the time of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC – September 3-6 comes within this window of opportunity as well as the days immediately prior to the US election – say from Halloween till the 6th of November.”
