Alaskan Avalanche

"Japanese climbers caught in avalanche

TALKEETNA - Four members of a Japanese climbing team are presumed dead after an avalanche swept them off a hill on Mount McKinley. National Park Service officials said five people were traveling as one rope team Thursday morning as part of a Miyagi Workers Alpine Federation expedition. One team member, Hitoshi Ogi, 69, survived. A Park Service spokeswoman said he fell 60 feet into a crevasse and climbed out. The other four tumbled into the avalanche debris."

"2 nuclear reactors ordered to restart

TOKYO - Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda ordered the reactivation of two nuclear reactors at a plant in western Japan on Saturday, making it the nation’s first plant to go back online since the crisis last year in Fukushima. The decision to restart the Ohi nuclear plant ends a temporary freeze of Japan’s nuclear power industry, after the triple meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi plant (AP)."

Yeah, to hell with what the people think.
