Aurora Borebullshit

Getting close to midnight as I begin this post....

"Details emerge as funerals begin for Colo. shooting victims" by Kristen Wyatt  |  Associated Press, July 26, 2012

DENVER — Citing unnamed law enforcement sources, the Fox News website reported that James Holmes sent a notebook to the school that sat unopened in a mailroom at the University of Colorado, Denver, since at least July 12 and was not found until Monday.

PFFFFFFFFFTTT!!!

Fox said the notebook contained drawings of stick figures being shot and a written description of an upcoming attack....

Un-flipping-real!

The package containing it was addressed to a psychiatrist at the school, the website reported....

NBC News, also citing unnamed sources, reported that Holmes told investigators to look for the package and that it described killing people....

"Aurora Massacre: Stick Figures!? You’ve Gotta be F*cking Kidding Me

UPDATE: Aurora Massacre: Stick Figure Confession = FBI Drop Gun?

While ABC “news’ is trying to spin up a new “psycho-killer” narrative and the “crazed spitter” explanation for why they keep James Holmes gagged (they don’t want one of these “I’m just a patsy” moments), the officials making this case up as they go along have gone completely crazy. And I mean completely f*in out of their minds, puppets on their hands, Batman-shit crazy.

This propaganda campaign to try James Holmes in the court of public opinion seems like it’s being run by drugged-up desperate half-wit pre-schoolers and I think this time, they may have just screwed up way beyond reproach.

A couple readers here sent me an email (thanks guys) saying I needed to chew up this latest bullshit story so I figured “well, how bad could it be?”

Boy was I overestimating the people who are running this little psyop.

Stick figure drawing confessions. I f*in shit you not… a STICK FIGURE DRAWING CONFESSION.

Here’s the story… you just can’t make up stuff like this.
Police and FBI agents were called to the University of Colorado Anschutz medical campus in Aurora on Monday morning after the psychiatrist, who is also a professor at the school, reported receiving a package believed to be from the suspect. Although that package turned out to be from someone else and harmless, a search of the Campus Services’ mailroom turned up another package sent to the psychiatrist with Holmes’ name in the return address, the source told FoxNews.com.
A second law enforcement source said authorities got a warrant from a county judge and took the package away Monday night. When it was opened, its chilling contents were revealed.
“Inside the package was a notebook full of details about how he was going to kill people,” the source told “There were drawings of what he was going to do in it — drawings and illustrations of the massacre.”
Among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebook’s pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figures. Fox News
Now, let’s get this straight…

A professor from the school calls up the police and claims that he has a package sent to him by the suspect.

They get there and look at the package, and it wasn’t sent by the suspect.

But then, they just happen to decide to look around the mailroom and BY SOME INTERGALACTIC MIRACLE OF MIRACLES there does just happen to be a package sent to the exact same professor from the suspect.

What a coincidence that is huh?

So they don’t open said package there, they have to squirrel it away back to headquarters where they open it up and find that it is a treasure trove of evidence!!!! INCLUDING STICK FIGURE CONFESSIONS of his entire plan.

Apparently one “source” told Fox News that the package had been there since July 12th.

Wow.

I guess that means the family members will sue the post office now and that will be the final nail in the coffin of that institution, allowing for them to privatize it once and for all.

Wow. Talk about multi-tasking. Never let a good crisis be wasted. Frame up the drugged out patsy AND finish off the public sector post office in the same stick figure drawing. Neat how that works out, huh? Cus yes folks, they will sue the shit out of someone… the school, the post office, the maker of the spiral notebook… someone is getting sued because if that thing had been there since July 12th and had been discovered by the professor back then, all of this could have been avoided.

Somewhere in Denver lawyers are clawing each others eyes out to get to the victim’ families to sign them up for the multi-trillion dollar class-action lawsuits.

I can’t even begin to describe how stupid this is. The guy carefully plans out this attack, rigs up his home with EXTREMELY sophisticated explosives, sets a timer on his stereo to entice the cops in, somehow gets the closest possible parking space, goes in, waits, fakes the phone call, goes out, gets changed, WAITS 30 MINUTES or so for perfect cover for his attack, goes in, tosses distraction grenades, times his attack perfectly because he is out just as the cops arrive,… and then he just kind of hangs out in the car waiting to be arrested? And he warns the cops of the traps in the house set.. for the cops?!?

AND he sends some professor a stick figure confession over a week before the event so he could be arrested prior to the opening night of Batman?

Really?

Really?

This is how dumb we’re supposed to be?

"Aurora Massacre: Stick Figure Story Changes. Another “Slumped” Moment in American History?

Posted on by willyloman
by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: Aurora Massacre: Stick Figure Confession = FBI Drop Gun?

UPDATE: And who says that package wasn’t sitting around since July 12th? Well, the same people who would be sued if it was sitting around since the 12th, that’s who.  (H/T Mike W)

Yesterday I wrote about a ludicrous new narrative coming out of Fox “News” which claimed that they now had what amounts to a “stick figure drawing confession” from James Holmes, conveniently sent by him prior to the shooting. The narrative has been fixed, the story massaged. The problematic aspects of the story have been weeded out by those in control of the public image of this case.

The degree and manner to which the official story has changed reminds me of another meme tossed out after it’s problems were revealed. The “slumped’ story.
“Among the images shown in the spiral-bound notebook’s pages were gun-wielding stick figures blowing away other stick figuresFox News
The story centered around a professor at the nearby university contacting the FBI and telling them he thought he had a package that had been sent to him by the shooter. They went there and the package was not sent by the shooter so for some reason they searched the campus post office and found that there was indeed a package which had been there since July 12th that WAS sent by the shooter.
The source said police and FBI agents were called to the University of Colorado Anschutz medical campus in Aurora on Monday morning after the psychiatrist, who is also a professor at the school, reported receiving a package believed to be from the suspect. Although that package turned out to be from someone else and harmless, a search of the Campus Services’ mailroom turned up another package sent to the psychiatrist with Holmes’ name in the return address, the source told FoxNews.com.” Fox News
According to the Fox “News” article, that package was a nifty little bit of evidence showing that Holmes had drawn little stick figure illustrations of what he intended to do. Can’t ask for a more damning bit of evidence than that can you?

I pointed out the absolutely ridiculous nature of narrative in an article called Aurora Massacre: Stick Figures!? You’ve Gotta be F*cking Kidding Me.  But then I also pointed out as well that if this were the case and the “evidence” was supposedly there since July 12th, then the post office and or the university would be sued til the end of time. Had they done their jobs, this entire thing would have been avoided.
“… the parcel may have sat unopened in a mailroom for up to a week before its discovery Monday, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com.” Fox News
The story was carried by other “news” agencies like the Huffington Post complete with the “stick figures” and the mistaken package storyline.

But then the story has changed considerably.

NBC “News” ran a story last night on their prime time show in which they make mention early on of the “writings’ of Holmes in the spiral notebook.
  • Gone – is any mention of the stick figure drawings.
  • Gone – is any mention of the professor calling the FBI and telling them he had a package from Holmes.
  • Gone – is the story of the mistaken package and then the real package.
  • Fixed – is the narrative that the package sat there for a long time before being “discovered” by the feds (no lawsuits now)
  • Fixed – is the narrative of how they found out about it in the first place (the “uncooperative” Holmes who has not confessed, told them about the confession stick figures just like the “uncooperative” Holmes warned the cops about the traps he set for the cops)
The new narrative directly conveniently addresses several problems of the first in that it was extremely implausible that some professor would mistake one package as being from a suspected mass murdered just to have another coincidentally waiting to be discovered that was from him or the fact that someone was going to be sued and as it turns out, the campus post office isn’t attached to the USPS. These are problems. That says nothing of the ridiculous “stick figure confession’ aspect of the whole thing.

But let’s think about this for a second: uncooperative Holmes not only saved officer’s lives by warning them of the traps, but he also made the entire case for the prosecution. How much more “cooperation” do they want?

When I see something like this, unfortunately I am old enough to remember a similar news shift back when JFK was assassinated. The establishment press constantly pushed the notion that JFK “slumped” when shot. Even John Connally was told to make mention of that fact. He said he looked over his shoulder after hearing gunshots and saw the president “slump” over before his head was blown off and Connally himself was hit multiple times.

Once word got out that the first shot definitely missed, the slump story had to be slightly revised. Connally then stated that he in fact did NOT see the president “slump’ because with a set limit of three shots being fired, there was no way that Kennedy could have been hit prior to John being hit since the “magic bullet’ had to do all that damage to both of them prior to the head-shot.

When you have a story change this dramatically, you have to wonder about it. Is it possible that the official “sources” quoted in the Fox News story got it so wrong as to miss the target on the time-frame and the source of the information leading to the discovery of such an important piece of evidence?

Let’s face it, if Holmes himself tells prosecutors about the notebook, it’s that pretty much a confession in itself regardless of the context of the notebook? Don’t ya think that little tidbit of info might have trickled down to the reporter at Fox?

He slumped. He didn’t slump. Perhaps the stick figures will reveal all. We can only wait and see.

"Aurora Massacre: The Shape of Things to Come

Posted on by willyloman
by Scott Creighton

Aside from the relevant details and all the conflicting facts that have been uncovered about this case, the Aurora Massacre, why is it that it just seems too… well… to “perfect” (not to mince words) to be something born of a diseased and drug addled mind of a 24 year old kid with no particular political leaning?

Why this place? Why this kid? Was he really capable of this horror? Do the answers to questions like these need to be found or is it all just too “plausible” that Holmes got lit-up on drugs and pulled off the mass murder of the century on pure instinct alone?

What is at stake? Why this film? When so many details of the case are suspicious, an active and diligent citizenry is required to look at them carefully and dispassionately for the sake of yesterday’s victims (finding them real justice) and for tomorrow’s.

What is at stake?

We all know that billionaire Mayor for life Bloomberg was practically standing on the bodies of the fallen and the wounded with a bullhorn calling for stricter laws governing weapons in America.
And we have seen people like John McCain demand the presidential candidates take a stand on the issue in the wake of the shooting.

Now Obama has put out a statement that we all know that Ak-47s belong in the hands of warriors and not “the criminals”. Seems he forgot another classification of persons there… law abiding citizens.

The second amendment, regardless of what various actors may Tweet, is not there to provide you and yours with the joys of hunting or target shooting. The second amendment is included in the Bill of Rights as a guard against tyrannical government.

Obama’s recent carefully scripted statement on gun control clouds that issue and makes it seem he supports the spirit of the amendment while simultaneously dismissing the purpose of it.
“I, like most Americans, believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms. I think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership passed on from generation to generation, that hunting and shooting are part of a cherished national heritage.” The Hill, Obama statement on gun control
Our cherished national heritage also includes throwing off the shackles of a repressive government, Mr. Obama, need I remind you. And that sir, is the purpose of our second amendment.

But why would oligarchs wish to disarm the people? Why would they want to make it harder to purchase such weapons? Well, the answer to that question lies in the fact that in every single country where neoliberal shock therapy of the Chicago School economic theory is imposed, it is accompanied by strict authoritarian regimes who are needed to repress the will of the vast majority of the people.

From Iran ’53 to Chile in ’73, from Iraq in 2003 to Libya today, these programs are designed to repress dissent and suppress opposition uprisings.

Therefore is it reasonable to suggest that the oligarchs and complicit politicos would support the control of the kinds of weapons needed to resist tyranny? Of course it is. And we see that happening in stages as we speak.

Why this kid?

James Holmes has not been described by anyone as a “criminal” (as Barack Obama makes reference to in his new statement) prior to July 20th 2012.

In fact he was apparently a model citizen someone who would never be denied a firearm under the current guidelines.

That’s important if you wish to manufacture consent for changing the guidelines because had he been some random killer or criminal, then we would be asking how he got past the existing laws rather than looking to refine them.

But instead what they are looking at it keeping guns from “the wrong people” and military grade weapons from all of them. Who makes the determination as to who the right and wrong people are? What is the criteria? Who sets it?

Would blogs like this prevent me from owning a weapon? Would previous military service or affiliation with “fringe” ideological groups?

To say to impose such a arbitrary selection process would certainly be to travel down that proverbial “slippery slope” but gauging purely from the recent rhetoric coming from the anointed one, we seem to be well on our way.

That is why this clean-cut well heeled citizen was a prime choice were this to have been a psyop with a well thought out and carefully crafted design behind it.

Was he really capable of this horror?

It is my contention, as I have stated before, that an event like this requires a very specific kind of human being. One that will not freeze, one that will not empathize, one that will not hesitate or second guess or die.

There is a great deal of hard evidence that there was another person involved and it has been my conclusion after researching this event that someone other than James Holmes committed this atrocity while Holmes was drugged in the car waiting to be discovered.

But what kind of person would that be and do various factions within our government or our military work with people like this daily? The answer of course is yes.

Destabilization campaigns are run by technocrats usually, technocrats aided by jackals. The jackals train and equip various indigenous personnel who run operations like the one in Aurora in various countries all across the world. Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Libya, the list goes on and on. We know this to be true. History is replete with the declassified files stretching across the entire globe.

The jackals and their assets (indigenous mercenaries) are calculating, experienced, cold-blooded killers working to one end and one end alone; the greater good, whatever that case may be.

This event has the markings of their work. It was well planned, quick, and the perfect patsy was primed and ready.

Did Holmes have the experience with those firearms to do what he did? Is a 12 out of 71 a high kill ratio? He didn’t panic, he didn’t freeze. If his gun jammed he simply switched to another. He tossed the distraction grenades and waited for them to ignite. No one got close enough to him to stop him. He didn’t rush out the front chasing victims down. He didn’t lose himself in the chaos. By all early accounts, the assailant was calm and meticulous… as if he had done it before.

Is that the way a drugged out college kid would have behaved?

I don’t think James Holmes could have shot kids point blank and simply moved on to others. That has to have an effect on someone. I couldn’t do it. Neither could you. And if this was a planned destabilization event, no one would have put that kid in that room with all that was at stake.

Apart from a complete and total break from reality, James Holmes would not have been capable of that act and the fact that he warned police about the traps set in his apartment, he clearly wasn’t in that mental state.

Why this film?

The most obvious part of this psyop I believe was the choice of films, Batman Dark Knight Rises.

The film is pure propaganda setting the nobility of the oligarchs verses the savagery of the masses. It is a one dimensional morality play full of every Dick Cheney/neocon cliche that was ever used to justify torture and the glorious Global Free Market Wars.

The Aurora Massacre serves as a warning of …

The shape of things to come.

If the conclusions that I and so many others have come to are indeed accurate (and we hope they are not), then we are to expect more of this.

Like in India just 10 years or so ago, we can probably expect a wave of similar acts with various targets and perpetrators.

In India, like in so many other places where fascist neoliberalism is rammed down the throats of the people, the “leftists” will invariably be cast as the culprits; the national villains.

We already hear talk of “international leftists” from the far right already. The question is who will be targeted and who will be blamed.

When hunger and hopelessness mix with the anger of seeing their communities ravaged, people need scapegoats to keep them from turning on their real enemies. Hitler knew that. So did Pinochet. So did McCarthy for that matter.

I wish I could say that I do not expect more of these kinds of horrendous acts but unfortunately I do. In the film Children of Men, it opens with a random act of terrorism that is seemingly so commonplace, the protagonist barely escapes with his life and yet he marches on diligently to his place of work.

Apparently others see it coming as well.

American Everyman wishes to extend condolences to all those injured by this horrendous act of cowardice. In a better world, there would be no need for questions like these. But America’s history and her policies make dreamers of us all if we ignore what we wish to ignore.  And we can’t dream our way out of this. There is no “HOPING” there is no “BELIEVING” anymore.

It’s a hard reality we must face. So let’s get on with it.

"Aurora Massacre: Stick Figure Confession = FBI Drop Gun?

by Scott Creighton

(U.S. Postal Service spokesman David Rupert) said no one has contacted the Postal Service for assistance in the investigation.”

Only in America, folks.

Fox News is standing by their original timeline (read my first article on the story when it broke) which stated that the package that was “discovered” at the university mail-room containing a notebook with what amounts to “stick figure” drawing confession from James Holmes, was there since July 12th. You will remember that quickly after the story came out, the people shaping the narrative of this investigation made some radical adjustments to the story for obvious reasons (lawsuits and lots of them). Fox is insisting that their “unnamed source” is more reliable than a university spokesman who would certainly be motivated by protecting the institution from potential liability claims, so they are standing firm on their story. And as it just so happens, the feds don’t seem very interested in tracking this package through the postal service like they did all those others. In my experience, if you don’t look for something, it’s because you don’t want to find it.

I wonder why that is.
“We respect the University’s position but are confident that our law enforcement source, who we will not name because of a prior agreement, was in a position to know the timing of the package’s whereabouts. We believe those details will be part of the evidence, which will be presented at an eventual trial,” said Fox Executive Editor John Moody.” Denver Post
Meanwhile, the judge is put a gag order on the entire case so no one else can leak potentially harmful “news’ (harmful to whom exactly?) otherwise known as “evidence”
“Neither officials with the university nor law enforcement would discuss the contents of the package, citing a judge’s order banning investigators and lawyers involved in the case from discussing it.” Denver Post
Isn’t it interesting that they can come out with a damning report which purportedly claims that James Holmes practically confessed to the Aurora Massacre with stick figure drawings, but then use the judge’s gag order to keep from having to show proof of that claim to the press and the people whom they are trying to persuade?

Remember, in the original Fox “News” story it wasn’t James Holmes that alerted the feds to the whereabouts of the notebook, it was a professor at the school who had a package that he mistakenly thought was from Holmes. Turns out, there was another package that was.

It was NBC “News” that fixed that remarkably unbelievable aspect of the story, fingering Holmes as the one who told the cops about it by citing still more “unnamed sources”.  But that flies in the face of reports that James Holmes doesn’t know why he is in jail and the fact that other officials refuse to confirm Holmes as the source of the location of the book to publications like the Associated Press. Seems like someone doesn’t want to go on record with that claim.
He claims he doesn’t know why he’s in jail,” a jail staffer told the newspaper. ”He asked, ‘why am I here?”’ News.com
If he doesn’t know why he is there, how do you think he was able to tell the feds the location of his “stick figure confession” manifesto?

But notice something written in the last sentence of this Associated Press story:
NBC News, citing unnamed sources, reported that Holmes told investigators to look for the package and that it described killing people.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies refused to confirm the reports to The Associated Press.
U.S. Postal Service spokesman David Rupert said the agency’s inspectors have no direct knowledge of the package reportedly containing the notebook. He said no one has contacted the Postal Service for assistance in the investigation.” AP
What?

Let me see if I got this straight:

The “official story’ is that James Holmes had over 50 packages sent to his home and his school over the past 3 months with gear and bullets and the post office was able to track ALL OF THAT since Friday (and in fact the first reports of all that postal service information came out early Saturday. How did they track all of that so fast?)…

Yet, perhaps the biggest piece of incriminating evidence doesn’t rate even a request by investigators to the post office to help them track it to see where it came from and when it was sent?

Really?

They supposedly found it Monday. This is being written on Friday. The top notch investigators of the FBI haven’t figured out yet that running a postal service trace on that package might be helpful to them… after all the other traces of all the other packages they’ve already done (supposedly).

Really? We’re supposed to believe that the postal service worked with the FBI and tracked all those packages received by James Holmes at his home address and the university, and then on Monday the postal service just happened to deliver another package to the same university, with his same home address in the return address box, without it being flagged or even noticed by the postal service?

No wonder the FBI doesn’t want to do a trace on the “stick figure confession” package.

Not only has the judge decided to put a gag order on the case after this fiasco, but apparently no cameras or court appointed reporters will be allowed into the courtroom for the arraignment on Monday.

They’ve also erected a chain-link fence complete with a green screen, around the entire building where the shooting took place.

Does this seem like justice is being done here? Can justice be found in an atmosphere of secrecy and deception? Because let’s face it, the more I look at this “stick figure drawing confession” the more I think of what used to be called a “drop gun

A drop gun is a clean, unregistered pistol dropped at the scene of an officer involved shooting which is used to justify it.

Are we looking at a modern day version of an FBI drop gun?

No one is clear on how the feds were brought to the university post office in the first place. The first guy who supposedly called them, didn’t call them, the suspect who basically confessed when he told them about it has no idea why he is in jail, they can’t even agree on when the package got there, and the FBI doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to ask the post office to shed some light on the subject.

Also remember that this entire story was falling apart at the seams when the “stick figure confession’ broke. Lots of questions surrounding the case were leading people all across the political divide to start wondering aloud about the case. This website alone had seen thousands of hits coming from “respectable” sites where links had been removed many times in the past.

I’ll tell you this, IF that notebook is a fabrication, given the means by which it was discovered and the varying manner in which they are still trying to prop it up as proof, it changes this case considerably. If that book is a forgery, a “drop gun” if you will, then it is fatally damning to the prosecution’s case.

Time will tell.

UPDATE: Now the defense attorneys are saying James was a patient of Lynne Fenton, the medical school’s student mental health director and that the book is protected under doctor-patient confidentiality laws.

UPDATE 2: Now they say they didn’t look in the package of “stick figure drawing” confessions and that news reports about them contain significantly untrue details. They claim they didn’t examine the contents of the box. What? No stick figure drawing confession? What a shame.

"Aurora Massacre: “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?”
by Scott Creighton

James Holmes was NOT arrested coming out of Theater 9

Listening to the audio of the police communications this morning I found something very interesting… they did not arrest Holmes coming out of the back of the theater. He was found in the car. We also now know he was drugged. These developments support my original conclusion.

It would appear from the transcripts of the police communications that they saw Holmes in the car, looked in and saw the weapons, and broke the window to gain access to him.

After a police officer reports that someone needs to check out the report of a guy in the back parking lot wearing a gas mask, immediately another officer asks “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?
The recording is here. Scroll to the bottom to find the video. I will try to post it. The following transcript starts at the 2:40 mark.
cop 1 – “I need a marked car behind the theater, Sable side,  suspect in a gas mask”
dispatch – “we need cars south side. suspect in a gas mask”
cop 2 – “Is that the dude in the white car nearby?

Apparently cop 2 is already back there or looking down the rear of the building and he sees James Holmes already INSIDE the white car. “Sable side” refers to Sable street which I believe the officer is intending to direct attention to the right side of the rear of the building since he says “rear of the building, Sable side” and coincidentally, that is where “a” gas mask was found.

Immediately, only a second later, another officer sees James already in the car and apparently not moving the car.
cop 3 – “everyone hold the air one second, cars where that white car in the rear of the lot, is that a suspect?”
cop 2 – “YES! we’ve got rifles, gas masks,  ive got a open door going into the theater, OK hold that position, hold that suspect!”
This in itself seems to suggest that one individual was seen along the back of the theater, Sable side, still wearing the gas mask and just a minute later a cop goes back there and sees Holmes already in his car.

Supporting that hypothesis, there are two more notable transitions from the officers on the scene:
cop 4 – “one of the shooters might be wearing a white and blue plaid shirt”
-
cop 2(?) – “suspect says there’s only one but I am getting conflicting descriptions from the witnesses out here”
Could the witnesses talking to the cops giving them “conflicting descriptions” be talking about another person who shed his tactical gear, wearing a white and blue plaid shirt and the gas mask be the guy who ran down the length of the rear of the building to the “Sable side” where he finally ditched the gas mask and escaped to Sable st.?

Whatever questions this brings up, one thing is for sure, the police did not detain Holmes as he came out of the building, like is being reported. It would appear based on this evidence that Holmes was already in the car.

Combined with the photo of the broken rear passenger window, and the developing story that he was drugged at the time of arrest, it would appear my original hypothesis may in fact be accurate.
  • James Holmes goes out Tuesday night drinking and someone doses him. They do it early Wed morning so they have time in his apartment to set up those elaborate traps (how would James have known how to construct those anyway?)
  • They keep him drugged and off the radar till Thursday night when they go to the theater. They make sure to park in that spot, right next to the exit of the theater.
  • The assailant goes in, fakes the phone call, comes out, goes to the car where James is still drugged, gets the gear on, goes in and attacks the innocent civilians.
  • Then the assailant comes out the exit door, leans against it while dropping the gun and removing almost all of his gear with the exception of the mask.
  • He runs past the car dropping the gear next to it in a heap, opens the door with James inside, tosses the guns into the car, the shotgun has been there all along, and goes straight down the length of the building toward the corner, toward the camera, drops his mask directly under the camera, and heads off to the nearby street where a car is waiting (cruising slowly) to pick him up.
  • Holmes is reported to have been “meek” when arrested. This might also explain why he wasn’t shot by police… he was incapacitated, incoherent, or generally not a threat.
  • Holmes, who is being held under suicide watch in solitary confinement, remained in his murderous “Joker” persona after his arrival, a jailhouse worker told the Daily News.He thinks he’s acting in a movie,” a prison employee told the Daily News.

"Aurora Massacre: James Holmes Mugshot Taken Same Day of his Court Appearance?

Posted on by willyloman
by Scott Creighton

When someone is taken into custody and booked by the Sheriff’s office or city police departments, they are typically fingerprinted and photographed BEFORE they are processed into the system. During that processing they are stripped and put in prisoner’s clothing, usually an orange jump suit which they wear for the duration of their stay (unless they are in the “turtle suit”). That means when they are photographed for their mugshot, they are still in whatever clothing they were wearing when they were arrested. If you need proof of this, just go to your local convenience store and glance at one of those horrid little books on the counter showing who got arrested in your community. You will notice what they are wearing.

It would appear to me that James Holmes’ mug shot was taken on Monday morning right before he went into the courtroom. That begs the question, why?

And while we are talking about strange discrepancies, how come there is such a striking shift in his reported behavior during the attack?

Here is James Holmes’ booking mugshot. Now remember, at first they claimed they were not going to release his mug shot, but then, right before his court appearance, an hour before, they released it for some reason.
“Earlier statements from authorities indicated the mugshot photo would not be made public, but shortly before Holmes appeared for his first court hearing, the mugshot photo was released.” Examiner
Take a look at his mugshot right beside a photo of him in the courtroom taken the same day the mugshot was released. What do you see?

Notice something odd?

He has the exact same facial hair growth on Monday that he did on Friday? Now remember, the booking photo was supposedly taken when he was booked, on Friday morning, 3+ days before he went to court. But his facial hair is exactly the same? Take a look at the Adult Friend Finder pictures of Holmes. Obviously he can grow more facial hair. But here we see him with the exact same facial hair growth supposedly 3 days later.

Why is he already wearing the orange jumpsuit? And why does he look to be in the same emotional state as the did in court?
  • they release the mug shot that day after claiming they won’t release it
  • his facial hair growth is exactly the same
  • he is outfitted in orange jumpsuit which he wouldn’t get typically till after the mug shot
What does all this add up to? His mugshot was taken on Monday, right before he appeared in court.
Now why would they do that? Because James Holmes was so drugged when they found him already in the white car, he was too incapacitated to stand for the mugshot.

ABC “news’ is reporting that Holmes was running around in the theater screaming and acting like a madman, literally picking people up and shooting them with the other hand.

Can we get another look at that?

"Another "WTF" Moment!

Upon closer scrutiny of photos of the alleged Aurora, Colorado shooter one has to wonder what kind of BS the MSM is trying to pull on the world!!

These two photos are clearly not of the same person! Maybe the media just got confused when pulling stock photos for this "tragic" real TV episode... I'm sure it was purely an unintentional mistake!

That's a very interesting observation. Reminds one of the phony bin Laden confession

It also fits with the photos we have been shown so far. We were presented with this and this early on, then an even earlier one (the eyes aren't even the same color!).  Ever since we have seen him.

And the cover story gets stranger and stranger:

"Shooting suspect saw psychiatrist, defense says; Doctor worked for university health services" by Brady Dennis, Carol D. Leonnig, and Jenna Johnson  |  Washington Post, July 28, 2012

AURORA, Colo. — The suspect in the Colorado theater rampage was seeing a University of Colorado psychiatrist who studies schizophrenia, according to court records released Friday, indicating for the first time that university officials were familiar with James Holmes’s mental state.

Holmes was a patient of Lynne Fenton, the medical director of student mental health services at the university, according to the suspect’s lawyers. Holmes withdrew from a PhD program in neuroscience after taking oral exams in early June.

Police say that Holmes carried out a methodically planned assault on moviegoers in a sold-out theater, employing legally purchased guns that he began acquiring in May. Twelve people died in the attack, and 58 were injured.

After the 2007 mass shooting that left 33 dead at Virginia Tech, the University of Colorado set up a special team to spot students who were suicidal or might pose a threat to others. There is no indication that the team — made up of mental-health professionals, campus police, and others — had identified Holmes as a student in need of monitoring.

The question now is was he on SSRIs?

Campus police, whose officers participate in the Behavioral Evaluation and Threat Assessment team, have said they had no contact with Holmes. Other team members reached in recent days declined to discuss Holmes.

University Chancellor Don Elliman told reporters this week that to his knowledge, ‘‘We did everything we should have done in this case.’’

Michael Carrigan, chairman of the University of Colorado regents, said he couldn’t comment on Holmes in particular and said he didn’t know what might have brought him to the attention of the BETA team.

Related: University can’t give records on suspect

But Carrigan said the team has improved campus life. ‘‘It has brought to our attention, much sooner, kids who are at a threat for harming themselves,’’ such as students considering suicide, he said. ‘‘I think it is working in helping us identify those students.’’

Holmes sent a notebook to Fenton sometime before the shooting rampage, his lawyers said in a motion filed Friday. The notebook included a journal of sorts and crude drawings depicting a mass gun attack, according to news reports.

But whether the package reached the university mailroom before or after the tragedy is in dispute. Police seized the package Monday, but Fenton had never opened it, according to court records.

I'm becoming bored with this bulls***.

Holmes’s lawyers at the public defender’s office have asked Colorado District Court Judge William Blair Sylvester to help them find out whether law enforcement officers or prosecutors leaked information to the media about the notebook and its contents this week.

Where else could it have come from?

The lawyers argue that Holmes’s privacy and constitutional rights have been violated and that investigators are not necessarily entitled to see the troubled student’s communication with his psychiatrist.

There will be no mistrial!

‘‘The government’s disclosure of this confidential and privileged information has placed Mr. Holmes’ constitutional rights to due process and a fair trial by an impartial jury in serious jeopardy,’’ the public defenders, Daniel King and Tamara Brady, wrote.

Sylvester has imposed a gag order on the lawyers and law enforcement agencies involved in the Holmes case, sealed court records, and barred the university from releasing relevant public records to the media. The Washington Post and others news organizations are contesting his order.

University officials have declined to discuss the notebook but have acknowledged that a package mailed to a university staffer was seized by police Monday as evidence in the Holmes case.

Fenton, who has served as mental-health services medical director since 2009, has conducted numerous research projects in the area of schizophrenia. She did not respond to calls to her home and office.

Fenton’s clinical practice included treating ‘‘15 to 20 graduate students per week’’ with counseling and medication, according to her biography on the university Web site. Because of her senior role, Fenton also supervises psychiatric residents who treat students, the site says. She has lectured on bipolar disorders and borderline personalities.

Another lone nut, huh?

Holmes’s lawyers also want to know whether the suspect alerted investigators to the existence of the notebook while under questioning, as detailed in media reports attributed to unidentified law enforcement sources.

How could he?

Investigators, joined by a bomb squad with bomb-sniffing dogs and robots, began searching at dawn Monday the university building where Fenton works, and later that day evacuated and searched the campus mailroom.

Holmes’s lawyers want access to officials involved in the search and in any testing of the package ‘‘for the presence of explosives and chemical/biological contaminants.’’

And now we find out there was no security?

"No security guards on duty at Colorado theater; Others in chain hired officers for Batman showing" by Mike Baker  |  Associated Press, July 30, 2012

DENVER — The Colorado movie theater complex that was the scene of a shooting rampage this month did not have any uniformed security guards on duty the night of the attack, even though other theaters operated by the same company did provide such protection for the premiere of the new Batman film.

Hmmmmmm.

It’s impossible to know whether guards — often off-duty police officers — at the Aurora Century 16 would have spotted the suspected gunman, James Holmes, and thwarted the attack that left 12 moviegoers dead and dozens wounded on July 20.

Cinemark has arranged for off-duty police guards at the Aurora theater on busy Friday and Saturday nights. As for other nights of the week, theater operators decide on a case-by-case basis whether to hire security, depending on the likelihood of trouble. The attack came early Friday, shortly after the midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises’’ began.

After all the hype they didn't think to have.... sigh, Stink stench.

The officers are generally armed and usually spend their time patrolling the complex, checking bags, or dealing with minor disputes.

What I see in the future is an extension of metal detectors and body $canners into movie theaters.

Larry Lowak, whose son Brent was among the wounded, said security personnel possibly could have stopped the gunman, and he was dismayed to learn that guards weren’t on hand. Cinemark, based in Plano, Texas, declined to explain why guards weren’t provided in Aurora that night and declined to discuss security policies in general.

Through interviews with police officers and officials outside the theater chain, the Associated Press was able to identify other company theaters that did use armed security workers for the July 19-20 Batman showings — including those in Beaumont, Texas; Lake Charles, La.; and Tupelo, Miss.

Some other locations, including a Cinema Century 16 theater in the western Denver suburb of Lakewood, did not have security.

Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates has said the Cinemark in Aurora normally uses off-duty police officers to provide security on weekend nights but did not have any working for the July 19 showings that went into the next morning. The theater does not have an unusually high record of complaints or crimes, police Sergeant Cassidee Carlson said....

The Aurora shooting has stirred discussion about appropriate security precautions at gathering places commonly considered safe....

$$$$$$

Officials have said the Aurora shooting suspect bought a ticket to the midnight showing and went into the theater as part of the crowd. A federal law enforcement official said Holmes is believed to have propped open an exit door in the theater as the movie was playing, donned protective ballistic gear, reentered, and opened fire....

Some theaters have added security guards for all nights of the week since the shooting, and police departments around the country have also conducted extra patrols at movie theaters, though it is not clear if those shifts will be permanent. AMC Theatres has barred people from wearing masks or bringing fake weapons inside.

Many theaters, including the Cinemark in Aurora, prohibit patrons from bringing in concealed weapons used for personal protection.

Maybe if they had not some on-the-ball moviegoer could have saved lives.

Lowak, the father of the shooting survivor, said he believes people carrying concealed weapons might have helped limit the bloodshed.

But Hubert Williams, former head of the Newark Police Department and president of the Police Foundation, said that the idea that average citizens with guns could keep a theater safe only makes sense ‘‘on a piece of paper.’’

‘‘Reality is much more complicated. What if you pull a gun out, take aim, and someone else thinks you’re the shooter?’’ he asked. ‘‘Would you stand up against an AR-15, AK-47 military-style assault weapon? Give me a break.’’

Give us one.

"Suspect faces 142 counts in Colorado shootings" by Dan Frosch and Jack Healy  |  New York Times, July 31, 2012

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — James E. Holmes showed no visible reaction Monday as he learned that he faced 142 criminal charges and the possibility of the death penalty over a deadly shooting rampage inside a Colorado movie theater.

Holmes, making his second court appearance, was formally charged with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder — two for each of the 12 people killed and 58 wounded. For each victim, Holmes was charged once for showing deliberation and once for showing extreme indifference to human life.

He was also charged with illegally possessing explosives, reflecting the hive of booby traps that police found inside his apartment after he was arrested outside the movie theater, just moments after the July 20 shooting.

The former graduate student sat at the defense table, flanked by his two leading public defenders. His bright orange-pink hair, an unruly frizz at his first hearing, had been combed flat to his head, and he spent much of the hearing gazing wide-eyed in front of him or staring toward the ceiling lights.

He said one word — ‘‘Yes’’ — in response to a question from Judge William B. Sylvester about setting a hearing date.

Holmes’s lawyers have declined to make any public comment, and they have not indicated in court whether they will seek an insanity defense. Under Colorado law, defendants are not legally liable for their acts if their minds are so impaired that they cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

Holmes’s public defenders could argue he is not mentally competent to stand trial. If they cannot convince the court that he is mentally incompetent, and he is convicted, they can try to stave off a possible death penalty by arguing that he is mentally ill....

The hearing, in a second-floor courtroom packed with reporters, relatives of victims, and members of the public, focused mostly on procedural issues and offered a glimpse of how slowly the complex and voluminous legal case against Holmes is likely to move in the months ahead.

It could be a year or more before a jury sits to decide whether Holmes is guilty of walking into a midnight screening of ‘‘The Dark Knight Rises’’ and opening fire on the sold-out crowd. When he was apprehended outside the Century 16 multiplex, he had four weapons and was wearing a black commando-style outfit, authorities said....

That appears to be an outright lie.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers spent much of Monday’s hearing discussing a notebook that Holmes had sent to Dr. Lynne Fenton, his psychiatrist at the University of Colorado Denver....

Three days after the shooting, the university discovered the package from Holmes and alerted law enforcement officials, who seized it. Holmes’s lawyers have argued that the notebook contains information protected by doctor-patient confidentiality, and they have asked that it be turned over to the defense.

Sylvester did not rule on the merits of their claims Monday, and he instead set Aug. 16 as the date to hear arguments on the issue.

"Aurora Massacre: Update

Posted on by willyloman
by Scott Creighton

Yesterday, James Holmes heard charges against him in Arapahoe County District Court. According to reports, it was the defense attorneys who requested that District Chief Judge William Sylvester ban video and still cameras from the courtroom during Monday’s hearing.

Why would his defense do that? You would think they would want the public to see how out of it Holmes is because clearly she is going for an insanity plea. So why would she want to keep the people from seeing him? Is it because they are keeping him drugged to the gills whenever he is in a situation where he is in the public view for fear he might say something like “I’m just the patsy”? Whatever the reason, here in the information age of the 21st century, this is what justice is boiled down to: secret trials based on secret evidence.

Holmes has been charged with 24 counts of murder… 2 for each of his victims. I won’t go into how they came to that conclusion.

Again they are challenging the official story of the “stick figure drawing confession” book. The prosecution claims the early reports about what was in that book are wrong because they hadn’t even opened the package when those stories came out. Kinda dug themselves into a hole there: if it turns out there are “stick figure” confessions in that book, that leaves the prosecution to explain how someone knew what was in the book before looking at it. Hmmm….
“Authorities seized the package July 23, three days after the shooting, after finding it in the mailroom of the medical campus where Holmes studied. Several media outlets reported that it contained a notebook with descriptions of an attack, but Arapahoe County District Attorney Carol Chambers said in court papers that the parcel hadn’t been opened by the time the “inaccurate” news reports appeared….” The Blaze
Talk about trying someone in the press. This guy claims it ain’t a “whodunit” mystery but rather a question of whether or not Holmes is clinically insane. Well, I beg to differ… if he was passed out cold when the cops found him and they needed a spine board to move him, and there’s that extra gas mask sitting way over next to the main street, I would say it is kinda a whodunit mystery, isn’t it?
“I don‘t think it’s too hard to predict the path of this proceeding,” said Craig Silverman, a former chief deputy district attorney in Denver. “This is not a whodunit. … The only possible defense is insanity.” The Blaze
I also read somewhere that Holmes again appeared drugged out of his gourd during the hearing.

"Boycott the Batman: Excellent Review of “Rises” from the eXiled
by Scott Creighton

For Christopher Nolan, “the overlords (are) the heroes”

Eileen Jones over at The eXiled has done an outstanding review of Dark Knight Rises (The Dark Knight Rises VS the 99%) and I have to say, it’s even worse than I originally thought (The Dark Knight Trilogy Turns on Us). H/T to David Snell for sending me a link to this…
“… First the Nolans pulled a lot of rhetoric straight from the Occupy movement and put it in the mouth of Bane (Tom Hardy), the masked, muscled-out gargoyle with the silly voice who’s the villain of the piece. Bane’s up on the steps of City Hall or wherever, exhorting the people to rise up and take back control of their city from the Wall Street thieves and billionaire bloodsuckers. But during this oration, Nolan never cuts to reaction shots of the crowd—he’s pulling the old camera trick of making us, the audience, the “mob.”
Take that, you 99%-ers, you mob-waiting-to-happen, you incipient villains!  Let this be a warning to you not to listen to any charismatic rhetoric about your rights as citizens!…” Eileen Jones
As Jones also points out, even the supporters, the characterless apologists for the current status quo, have to acknowledge who this ham-handed Nolan propaganda serves…
“I would argue that Nolan is mostly being provocative with this tale of underclass resentment, of an uprising by the lower half of the 99 percent that is turned to evil purposes. If so, it works. In its tremendous, almost apocalyptic action sequences, “The Dark Knight Rises” suggests a reverse-engineered version of a Soviet-era revolutionary epic, in which the masses are the villains and their onetime overlords the heroes.” Andrew O’Hehir of Salon
Jones goes on to review various aspects of the film pointing out that Nolan is basically a talentless hack who’s apparently been given a lot of money to turn comic book super-villains into white male 25-40 year old radicalized terrorists.

Great review. I strongly recommend it. Jones is insightful with a biting sense of humor. My kind of review.

"Mass. borders are no barrier to guns sold nearby" by Wesley Lowery and Adam Sege  |  Globe correspondents, July 30, 2012

The gun-tracing statistics back up calls for national gun-control laws....

Gun laws are getting new attention following the recent attack in a Colorado theater, where a heavily armed man fatally shot 12 people at the midnight opening of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

***********************

“We don’t have any firearms problems up here,” said Ed Cutler, legislative director of the Gun Owners of Vermont, who said the number of guns leaving states with fewer gun restrictions, such as Vermont, is “blown way out of proportion.”

Cutler said that in a state such as Vermont — where he estimates 75 percent of households own at least one gun — a potential mass murderer would be stopped in a public place because bystanders might be armed.

“Vermont might have some of the most lax gun control in the country. We’re also the safest state in the country,” he said. “We are the safest state due to the large number of guns in this state.”

It's an incontrovertible fact, sorry.

Bennett Prescott a spokesman for the Connecticut Citizens Defense League, a group that promotes gun ownership, said, “There is nothing you can do to stop a madman.”

Especially when he is the head of a nation.

"Maryland man threatens shooting" Associated Press, July 28, 2012

PALMER PARK, Md. — A Maryland man who called himself “a joker” and had an arsenal of semiautomatic rifles threatened to shoot up the business from which he was being fired and was wearing a T-shirt that read “Guns don’t kill people. I do,” when first confronted by officers, police said Friday.

The man, identified as Neil Prescott, told a supervisor at software and mailroom supplier Pitney Bowes that “I’m a joker and I’m gonna load my guns and blow everybody up,” and that he wanted to see the supervisor’s “brain splatter on the floor,” according to a search warrant Friday.

The threats were made multiple times in separate phone calls this week, and investigators who searched the 28-year-old’s apartment Friday morning found several thousand rounds of ammunition and about two dozen firearms.

He was receiving a mental health evaluation at a hospital, and charges were pending.

Last week’s mass shooting at a Colorado theater during the latest Batman movie — coupled with the joker reference — put police especially on edge and gave the comments extra urgency, officials said.

"Rev. Jackson addresses son’s illness" Associated Press, July 30, 2012

CHICAGO — The Rev. Jesse Jackson said there is ‘‘no timetable’’ as his son, US Representative Jesse Jackson Jr., recovers from depression and gastrointestinal issues at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

The elder Jackson spoke to reporters Saturday outside a downtown Chicago movie theater. The civil rights leader was with protesters in support of a ban on assault weapons.

Chicago is a gun control city with one of the highest murder rates!

‘‘There is no timetable on his recovery,’’ Jackson said. ‘‘We hope he will fully recover.’’

Representative Jackson, a Chicago Democrat, went on leave June 10, but his office didn’t disclose it until weeks later.

Initially, his office said Jackson was being treated for exhaustion.

Since then, the office has said his condition was more serious and required in-patient medical treatment.

Jackson is facing an ethics investigation in the US House connected to the former Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted on corruption charges.

Jackson was not charged and has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

The Mayo Clinic released a statement Friday saying the congressman was being treated there for depression and gastrointestinal issues.

Maybe someone should call the FBI and make sure JJ Jr. is being watched or something, 'eh?

The elder Jackson said ‘‘such a challenge is a game-changer, and challenges all members of a given family.’’

"Father in Oxford shootings was beset" by Travis Andersen and Matt Byrne  |  Globe Staff | Globe Correspondent, July 30, 2012

OXFORD — A man who authorities say fatally shot his 7-year-old daughter and critically wounded his 9-year-old son before killing himself had recently come under considerable stress, a family friend said Sunday.

“Then when [his wife] left him I think that was the frosting on the cake,” said David Farrar, 73, referring to the alleged gunman, Daryl Benway, 41. Farrar said he believed that Benway was in danger of losing his home, and another longtime friend said Benway had recently been laid off....

A 79-year-old neighbor, who did not want his name published because he did not want to upset his neighbors, said he was sitting on his front porch Saturday afternoon when he saw Kelleen Plantier Benway pull away from the home in a black Camaro.

“I seen her come out and peel rubber, about a half hour, an hour before the cops show up,” the man said....

Is that why the mother looks like she has been arrested?
