Everyman's Review of Midnight Movie Massacre Investigation

Hey, he helped clear up the fog in Florida.

"Aurora Massacre: Another in the Long Line of Pre-Legislative False Flag Events?

UPDATED… see updates at the end of the article.

UPDATE 2: Over thirty “improvised grenades” and specialized chemicals designed to explode when mixed were allegedly found in Holmes’ apartment by authorities. The cops are now mad because, as they say, the traps looked to be designed to kill “first responders”. Of course, Holmes supposedly told them about the traps before anyone went to his apartment, but the cops are still “mad as hell” anyway.
“It was an extremely dangerous environment,” Oates said. “If a neighbor or an unassuming pedestrian would’ve walked in that door, or God forbid a first responder, they would’ve sustained significant injuries and/or lost their life.”
“It was going to be a police officer,” Oates continued. “We sure as hell are angry.” Huffington Post
God forbid a “first responder” gets hurt like those first responders who are hit by secondary hell-fire missiles whenever we call up a drone strike in Pakistan or Afghanistan or Yemen….

According to officials, it’s “going to take a while” to search his place for evidence.

Why would a guy set up all those traps just to tell the cops they are there and why would he make all those “improvised grenades” and not use any of them?

————

There are some rather strange aspects to the Dark Knight shooting incident being called the Aurora Massacre, which has claimed the lives of 12 people in Aurora Colorado. You have to be careful not to go out and immediately suspect that every incident like this one is a staged false flag event so I’ve been waiting to see how the story has been taking shape. I don’t know if this tragedy is simply an example of how someone just snapped or if it was staged for various reasons. But the truth is, there are some odd aspects to this story and some parts that have been misinterpreted by various investigative writers. This guy drops out of school and starts buying weapons and professional grade tactical gear and shoots up a theater all in one month’s time? His home is off-limits due to booby-traps that he warned the police of for some reason? His gear completely covered his head and face during the attack, then he strips them off in the parking lot before “meekly’ surrendering to the police? And of course all of this takes place just days before a controversial ratification vote in the senate.

Yeah, this harkens back to false flag events in our past which always seem to take place just before some kind of legislation like the Patriot Act. But is it?

First, the witness who is being widely cited as saying “someone let the shooter into the theater” didn’t actually say that. What he said was he saw someone in the right front row get a phone call and get up and go to the exit door where he propped it open and then he noticed someone dressed in black with a mask on come in that door and started shooting people.
“As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place.” from CNN video
Notice, the witness doesn’t say the guy came back and sat down and another guy came in. What he seems to be saying is the guy went out, propped the door open, and came back. Same guy. And that makes sense. How else was he going to get into the theater wearing all that gear and carrying large weapons? Could be that he bought the ticket, went in and sat down, pretended to get a phone call which would explain his getting up and going to the door.

When he came back in, if that was the same guy, he was wearing a gas mask and so much tactical equipment the victims never saw the face or the hair or even the color of the skin of the man shooting at them. He supposedly tossed two gas canisters into the theater prior to opening fire on the audience.

That’s a pretty sophisticated close quarters combat technique for someone with no military training.

He was decked out in what sounds like full body armor, neck, groin, thigh protection, tactical gloves as well as a Kevlar vest, a ballistic helmet,  and the gas mask. This is pretty high-tech stuff for a college student going after unarmed kids in a movie theater.
“Authorities say Holmes arrived at the theater dressed in black, outfitted in a gas mask, ballistic helmet, vest and leggings, black tactical gloves and protectors on his throat and groin. He was armed with an assault-style rifle, a shotgun and Glock handgun.” Newsday
Interestingly, he supposedly shed most of the armor in the parking lot before being arrested.

And speaking of his arrest, we have also been told that the assailant surrendered “meekly” to the cops outside in the parking lot.

The suspected assailant, James Holmes, has no real internet footprint that anyone has been able to locate, with the possible exception of an Adult Friend Finders account page. I think that is kind of odd for someone of his age who is obviously pretty intelligent. A young bright college student with no Facebook or Twitter account?

Holmes was considered the “top of the top” by the chancellor of his former school. He was enrolled in a Ph.D. program in neuroscience and suddenly last month, he just drops out and starts buying guns out of the blue.
“Holmes had enrolled last year in a neuroscience Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado-Denver, though he left last month for unknown reasons. In academic achievement, “he was at the top of the top,” recalled Timothy P. White, chancellor at the University of California, Riverside, where Holmes earned his undergraduate degree before attending the Denver school.” AP
Another strange aspect to all of this is the fact that supposedly Holmes went through the trouble to set all of these booby-traps in his apartment obviously to kill more people after his rampage, but for some unknown reason, he warned the police before they went there to collect evidence against him after the rampage. Why would he do that? Doesn’t it seem a bit contrived as if someone wanted to keep the press and various other agencies out of his apartment for a while after the shooting?

“When he surrendered meekly in the movie house parking lot, Holmes told authorities what he’d done at his residence in the Denver suburb of Aurora, the third most populous city in Colorado”

And speaking of contrived, it just so happens that next week President Obama is set to sign the UN Global Arms Transfer Treaty which would then have to be ratified by a vote of two thirds of the senate.

The treaty will supposedly set up a system of global gun registration, provide for the collection of “unregistered weapons”, and make the person to person sales of semi-automatic weapons illegal.

On their “small arms” page, the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs has this to say about the proliferation and danger posed by small arms
“Insurgents, armed gang members, pirates, terrorists – they can all multiply their force through the use of unlawfully acquired firepower. The illicit circulation of small arms, light weapons and their ammunition destabilizes communities, and impacts security and development in all regions of the world.
The illicit trade in small arms, light weapons and ammunition wreaks havoc everywhere. Mobs terrorizing a neighbourhood. Rebels attacking civilians or peacekeepers. Drug lords randomly killing law enforcers or anyone else interfering with their illegal businesses. Bandits hijacking humanitarian aid convoys. In all continents, uncontrolled small arms form a persisting problem.” UNODA small arms page
Throughout the internet, especially on “progressive” type sites, they are calling for action to be taken to control weapons in the hands of US citizens. Anyone who takes exception to this hysteria is immediately denounced as being on the payroll of the gun lobby.

Don’t you think it’s kind of odd that right before an important senate vote on ratifying this treaty, we just HAPPEN to have this young guy go crazy and start shooting up a theater? Bush and Clinton both supported similar legislation in the past, but opposition to the treaty was widespread and enthusiastic so it never got off the ground.

Now the “pragmatic” Obama is poised to sign the treaty in the wake of this horrendous shooting. Seems kind of contrived to me.

And what stories are getting the most attention in the aftermath of the tragedy? Holmes bought 6,000 rounds of ammunition. Holmes purchased all weapons legally.

This guy went out and purchased all of these weapons and the protective gear in the last month (I think he bought one gun in late May, his first Glock pistol). He bought the ammo and the protective gear online within the last 20 days or so. Don’t you think that might have set off some red flags somewhere?

I’m not saying that this legislation is definitely going to set up some kind of international goon squad to come rushing into your neighborhood and start confiscating your guns, but it is certainly a first step and when you consider the fact that the specifics of the treaty are still being kept under wraps, you have a hard time not worrying about it.

Conclusion

In the end, I am not utterly convinced that this event was a staged false flag event but you have to admit, there are some really odd circumstances surrounding it. When you consider events of the past like the Oklahoma City bombing and the anthrax attacks, and you remember that both of them preceded the passage of controversial legislation, you can’t help but wonder if the timing of this is just too convenient for the powers that be.

Is it possible that this kid was drugged and put in position to be the patsy for a false flag attack like Robert Bales and the Kandahar Massacre? Was it even him in the theater?

Here’s a question: since almost every movie theater understands by this time that people will buy a ticket and then go open the fire exit door so their friends can get in, why didn’t the opening of the door and propping it open for a time alert the managers at the theater? And don’t theaters like these have video surveillance in the parking lots? Where are the videos of Holmes coming out of the fire exit door and changing and going back in?

More information will be coming out in the next few days and I will try to keep you posted as best I can.

"Aurora Massacre: What Does the Location of the Gas Mask Tell Us? What About Security Cameras? Are They Related?

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: I just found out that the judge in this case has sealed the case because disclosure of the facts would be “contrary to public interests” and that the request to do that was made on Friday just hours after the event.
The motion, filed in Arapahoe County court, asks for the records in the case to be sealed, including search warrants, affidavits, orders and the “case file.”
The District Attorney’s affidavit says prosecutors are investigating first-degree murder charges against Holmes, but that disclosure of the court records would be “contrary to public interest” and “could jeopardize the ongoing investigation.” The Daily
UPDATE 2: The Washington Post has done a map of the scene and just like I pointed out, the gas mask is clearly past the corner as if the assailant was on his way to the road. See their photo mark-up at the end of the article.

——

As I was scanning through a number of heart breaking photos from the aftermath of the Dark Knight massacre in Aurora Co. this morning, I noticed something very interesting; actually a couple of interesting things stood out.Primarily I noticed that the gas mask was found a long way away from where James Holmes was arrested and the other equipment was found. I also think I found an image of a security camera mounted on the back of the theater pointing down toward where the car was parked and the theater exit was. And as luck would have it, that is the exact same location the gas mask was found as if the assailant traveled the length of the building and dropped the mask once he was out of the view of the camera.

I have done my best to compile photos and the layout of the scene at the back of the theater for your consideration.

———

The first was the fact that early reports had claimed the shooter was still wearing his equipment when the cops first found him next to his car and he was still carrying all of his weapons except for one Glock 40 which was found in his car. This is an important aspect of the case because how else would they have known he was the shooter amid all that chaos. Also interesting is the fact that they didn’t just shoot the guy. He was apparently still carrying an assault rifle and a shotgun and decked out in tactical armor… so how did he just end up surrendering “meekly” as some reports claim?

The answer is simple: he wasn’t carrying the guns and he wasn’t still wearing the armor. So, how did they know they had the right guy?
“Holmes was apprehended within minutes of the 12:39 a.m. shooting at his car behind the theater, where police found him in full riot gear and carrying three weapons, including an AR-15 assault rifle, which can hold upwards of 100 rounds, a Remington 12-gauge shotgun, and a .40 Glock handgun. A fourth handgun was found in the vehicle.” ABC News
But this report flies in the face of the evidence at the scene and the vast number of police photos taken.

From the above photo you can clearly see he had striped off his armor on the way to his vehicle and in fact, the AR-15 was found just inches outside the exit door, meaning he could not have still had it when the cops found him unless they let him walk back the 30 or so feet to the door to lay the weapon down there.

It’s important to understand the layout of the location where the assailant left the building to return to his car. Let’s put that into perspective right off the bat.

As you can see from the compilation of crime scene photos below, the assailant left the building from the door between the two sections and next to the utility area beside where he parked. He could not have found a parking space closer to that door if he tried. As you can see, his Ar-15 was found right beside the door where he apparently dropped it upon leaving the theater. The blood makes it clear that was the exit to the theater where the massacre took place.

So if he did indeed drop his primary weapon at the door when he left, how did the cops know he was the assailant? It’s possible he was still carrying the shotgun and wearing the body armor and the gas mask, but that seems to be contradicted by other photos with one VERY interesting piece of evidence…

Notice where the gas mask location is, at the end of the building. That’s VERY important…

When I first started researching this article, I was consumed by the question of locating the security cameras covering this business’s parking and access areas. I had wondered why there has been literally no discussion of the security camera footage from that night.

What I found may be more damning than I could have imagined: yes there are security cameras mounted on the building on the front and apparently on the back shooting down the length of the rear of the building and if someone were walking down that sidewalk after leaving that exit, then their face would be clearly visible on that camera because they would have been walking directly toward it.

So, if an assailant were to leave the theater via that exit and head in that direction, then obviously he would want to leave his mask on until he was out of the viewable area of the camera.

As it turns out, the gas mask seems to have been dropped directly under the camera itself.

But why head in that direction? Because it is the closest access to the main road right next to the theater and a waiting vehicle and escape. It wouldn’t do to try to blend in with the crowd because the police may detain witnesses and start asking questions they might not want to answer. Plus then there would be a record of the individual on site and that might not be good in the future. The best bet would be to get off property as soon as possible and that exit path provides the fastest way to do that.

Is it possible that James Holmes was set up? Think about this:
  • James Holmes goes out Tuesday night drinking and someone doses him. They do it early Wed morning so they have time in his apartment to set up those elaborate traps (how would James have known how to construct those anyway?)
  • They keep him drugged and off the radar till Thursday night when they go to the theater. They make sure to park in that spot, right next to the exit of the theater.
  • The assailant goes in, fakes the phone call, comes out, goes to the car where James is still drugged, gets the gear on, goes in and attacks the innocent civilians.
  • Then the assailant comes out the exit door, leans against it while dropping the gun and removing almost all of his gear with the exception of the mask.
  • He runs past the car dropping the gear next to it in a heap, opens the door with James inside, tosses the guns into the car, the shotgun has been there all along, and goes straight down the length of the building toward the corner, toward the camera, drops his mask directly under the camera, and heads off to the nearby street where a car is waiting (cruising slowly) to pick him up.
  • Holmes is reported to have been “meek” when arrested. This might also explain why he wasn’t shot by police… he was incapacitated, incoherent, or generally not a threat.
  • Holmes, who is being held under suicide watch in solitary confinement, remained in his murderous “Joker” persona after his arrival, a jailhouse worker told the Daily News.He thinks he’s acting in a movie,” a prison employee told the Daily News.
There is no way of telling if this is actually what happened but we have to take all of the evidence, including the physical evidence into consideration and part of that evidence is the apparent lack of anyone talking about the security camera videos. Those cameras on the front of the building should show James Holmes entering the building at the very least so where are they?

And what other explanation is there for that gas mask to be located so far from the rest of the equipment and James and his car? Clearly the police didn’t carry it down there and drop it on the ground for the fun of it?

I am still searching for more pictures of the rear of that building and specifically anything that shows the roof section where I think that camera is.

While it is possible that Holmes did this, it is also possible that the same thing happened here that happened at the recent Kandahar Massacre where a man was drugged and set up for an atrocity he had nothing to do with. Considering the nature of the world we live in, I think it would be irresponsible for me not to report this information as I found it and to not question the “official story” of the “crazed lone gunman” that we see over and over again especially when unpopular landmark legislation is waiting in the wings.

Billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is using this tragedy to push for stricter gun control laws. I wonder if he is one of the financial elites who have just been outed for hording 32 trillion dollars in off shore accounts? Can you imagine why someone like him would want to disarm the citizens of this country?

UPDATE 2: Washington Post map of Aurora crime scene. Also of note: at that site, they state that Holmes left the theater just as the film started around 12 and didn’t return til 12:35 as if he was deliberately waiting for the shootout scene. Why would he do that? Because the gunshots wouldn’t be heard in the other theaters running the late night showing of the same movie. Then he is out the door and the first 911 calls at 12:39. 90 seconds later they just happen to find James hanging out next to his car in the back and take him into custody. According to the Washington Post timeline, the shooting only took between 60 and 90 seconds that leaves plenty of time for an assailant to go out the back, ditch the gear, and run the length of the building before the cops were even called.  The timeline is below the photo…

Notice the Washington Post photo puts the gas mask even farther down the path to the nearby street than I did.

Washington Post timeline of events:
Around midnight The screening began. Holmes allegedly approached an emergency exit to the right of the screen, propped open the door and geared up.
Around 12:35 a.m. Dressed in black SWAT gear, Holmes allegedly came back through the door, hurled two canisters of an unknown gas and opened fire on the audience. He allegedly walked up the aisle, firing as he went. The shots lasted 60-90 seconds. The bullets pierced the wall of Theater 8 next door.
12:39 a.m. Police began receiving emergency calls.
90 seconds later Officers arrived at the theater and almost immediately arrested Holmes, who was next to his white Hyundai outside a rear entrance to the theater.

NEXT DAY UPDATE:

"Aurora Massacre: More Questions

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: 11. Why is James Holmes such a bad actor?  At the end of this article, see screenshots taken from live hearing of James Holmes trying to act crazy, remorseful, and or drugged… if I am right and he is acting (which I think he clearly is) that opens up a whole new can of worms…

————–

As is often the case, there are more questions surfacing regarding the Aurora Massacre and the “done deal” lock they have on their lone gunman suspect. How did he know where to park his car if he only purchased the ticket that night? He was in the closest space he could possibly have gotten to his exit door and there were three theaters showing the film. How did he know he would be in that one and where the exit door led to prior to parking his car that night? Why is CNN starting to fudge the timeline data in such a way as to contradict the official police log? Where is the drum magazine? Why was his window busted out? Why did he risk getting materials sent to a school that he quit?

And still, above all else, standing in direct opposition to the official story, how did that gas mask get all the way down the end of the building if he was arrested as soon as he exited, still wearing the gas mask? Is it’s location related to the security camera located right above where the mask was dropped on the way to the closest street and escape?

1. Acquisition of various equipment? – I had to wonder about the trail of purchases leading up to this cowardly assault in the Century 16 theater. I figured that whatever I and other researchers found which would tend to shift some of the suspicion away from James Holmes, in the end it would be negated by the fact that he received and signed for all of this tactical equipment at his home. Hard to put someone else in his house pretending to be him when Fed Ex comes by and launches his boxes over his fence (little joke there). But it turns out that may not be as much of an issue as I originally thought.
“Police have said that Holmes began buying guns at Denver-area stores nearly two months before Friday’s shooting and that he received at least 50 packages in four months at his home and at school….
… The university said Holmes gave no reason for his withdrawal, a decision he made in June.
Holmes was not allowed access from the institution after his withdrawal, which was “standard operating procedure” because he was no longer affiliated with the school, said Jacque Montgomery, a spokeswoman for the medical school.” MSNBC
I wondered if he had a PO box set up in his name by someone else but this new development serves to explain the same trick. How would he receive packages at school? Through a PO box which practically anyone could have set up using a fake school ID in his name.

2. Washington Post neglects to diagram the exit door he used?In yesterday’s article I posted an update which showed a Washington Post layout of the back of the theater. They show the exits of all the other theaters with exit doors on the back of the building, but they omit the one exit that is the most critical, the one he used which HAPPENS to be right next to where he parked his car. Why would they do that? Wouldn’t that be the most important exit to show?

(theirs)

(mine)

3. How did James know? -  According to the “official story” James Holmes purchased a ticket that night and went into the theater. But I have to assume his car was already parked. So how did he know to park in that specific space which was the closest possible space to that exit door for Theater 9? There were three showing of the Dark Knight at midnight. How would he know which theater he was going to be in? Did he purchase online in advance and if so did his ticket stub have the theater number on it? Even so, if that is what happened, did he go to the theater sometime before the Thursday night showing and buy a ticket to Theater 9 to see which of those several exit doors let out in the back?
“Holmes capped off his gun purchases with another pistol on July 7. Authorities say that, 12 days later, Holmes bought a ticket to the midnight premiere of the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” and entered the theater with the crowd, then slipped out the side door and returned dressed for battle.” Huffington Post
It’s official, he bought the ticket that night. There is no way for him to have known which theater he would have been in and no way for him to have scoped out every theater in the complex to know where each theater exit let out in the parking lot. So HOW did he just happen to get the one spot closest to the door he would be coming out of?

4. Down the memory hole? – There’s a current meme taking place which aims to erase Holmes’ name from our collective memory. It started pretty soon after the shooting with certain “news” sites instructing their readers to focus on the victims and not the alleged shooter but yesterday Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper took it to a new level when he made the statement in Denver “I refuse to say his name. In my house we’re just going to call him Suspect A,”. Hickenlooper is the same guy who called Holmes “demonic” yesterday on a Sunday morning talk show. Forgetting the name of the prime suspect is supposed to be somehow showing a “spirit of defiance” according to MSNBC. Take from that what you will.

5. AR-15 not shown with “100 round drum clip”? – In the crime scene photo, the AR-15 found right next to the exit door is not equipped with a 100 round drum clip as has been described by various members of the press. A commenter picked up on this on my last article. (note: over at ATS a commenter also noted that there were victims who appeared to have been struck by pellets as in shotgun pellets. I mistakenly assumed the shotgun may have been left in the vehicle in yesterday’s article. It would appear that the assailant brought both the AR-15 AND the shotgun into the theater.)
“Holmes had shot dozens of people because his rifle was modified with a high-powered drum magazine that allowed him to fire immense amounts of bullets without reloading.” Huffington Post

(that is NOT a drum magazine. These ARE AR-15 drum magazines)

I remember seeing one eyewitness report saying that the assailant stopped firing with the AR and switched to a “slower” firing weapon. Very possible that this was the shotgun. But MORE possible, if this is the ONLY clip, that the assailant simply ran out of ammo in the clip in the AR and then switched to the shotgun on his way out. I don’t recall anyone saying he reloaded but I could be wrong on that. Why would they invent the “100 round drum clip” aspect of the story? Because there is a big push to ban those clips (especially in law enforcement)

6. Holmes’ rear passenger window busted? – (H/T ATS commenter) Why would Holmes’ car have a broken rear passenger window? It wasn’t covered with something as if James had locked his keys in the car some time ago and just put plastic over it and I don’t see glass on the ground next to his car in the parking lot (cops breaking window to gain access). Besides, the passenger window is down. It’s almost as if someone broke into his car and drove it there. Not as big of an issue, but certainly worth looking into.

(do you see glass on the ground? hard to tell)

7. What about that gas mask?Yesterday’s article explains the suspicious location of the gas mask, all the way over on the side of the rear of the building as if the suspect made it that far on his way toward the closest street.

8. CNN fudges the timeline account? Official account doesn’t account for location of the gas mask?- why would CNN fudge the official timeline account of what happened that night? They did. And how did that gas mask end up all the way over on the side of the building if the gunman was apprehended as he came out of the theater?

This is part of what they report as the official police transcripts (transcript starts with dispatch call telling officers to report to shooting in theater at 1:00:07):
01:06:14 16 I need a marked car behind the theater stable side, suspect in a gas mask. 01:06:22
01:06:50 everyone hold the air one second, cars where that white car in the rear of the lot, is that a suspect? YES! we’ve got rifles, gas masks, you can see him ive got a open door going into the theater, OK hold that position, hold that suspect! 01:07:05 CNN
Six minutes after putting out the dispatch call about shooting at the theater (and we all know that the first 911 calls were at 12:39 am when the assault began) they had a witness tell cops the guy was in the back with a gas mask. Yet CNN claims that at 12:42 “some witnesses say he was still in the theater shooting” but the cops had been on scene since a minute after the call went out.

Then, CNN goes on to show that at 12:46 the “witnesses” claim he “stopped shooting and walked out the exit”. That would put the police on scene for approximately 5 to 6 minutes with the shooter still firing inside the theater?

The police log talks about gas and about victims of the shooting, but not ONE single mention of “shots fired” from the officers on scene. Not one. All of the officers are reporting victims of shooting, not shots being fired inside the theater so the CNN report seems to be misleading. Do you really think cops would be close enough to the theater entrance to be tending the wounded and smelling the gas but not respond for 5 minutes while gunfire was coming from the theater?

The CNN report also claims that he was scene by the officers as he exited the building, still carrying his weapons, and still wearing the assault gear INCLUDING THE GAS MASK. So… if they arrested him right after he exited the building, how does the mask end up all the way at the end of the building and why did the first reports claim he was only in the building shooting for 60-90 seconds?
9. What about the security camera footage? Where the hell is that? – That one doesn’t need any explanation but at least I think I have proven that there was a camera on the back wall of the theater which looks like it was trained on the full run of the rear of the building, which only makes sense.

10. Blue Plaid Shirt guy wearing gas mask in the back? -  Part of my earlier assessment was to suggest that the assailant may have stripped everything off and tossed it next to Holmes who was drugged in his car. Everything except the gas mask which he needed to hide his face as he traveled down the length of the building, toward the camera, and to the closest street and freedom.

Is it possible that two of the log entries confirm this? At one point a cop reports he has been told of a suspect wearing a gas mask in the back and that prompts someone to go back there and find Holmes. But later we have another call put out about a guy in a blue plaid shirt.

I wonder, is it possible that the two calls are from the same cop. That the cop got more information from the person who tipped him off on the gas mask wearing suspect in the back, namely that he was wearing a blue plaid shirt AND the gas mask? Just tossing it out there.
01:06:14 16 I need a marked car behind the theater stable side, suspect in a gas mask. 01:06:22
01:09:58 one of the shooters might be wearing a white and blue plaid shirt 01:10:03
11. Why is James Holmes such a bad actor? Answer: It ain’t as easy as it looks on TV – I just watched the simulcast of the preliminary hearing in Co. and I have to say, James Holmes is one horrible actor. I say that as a trained actor, I studied it and practiced the craft for years. It’s what I went to college for and what I did after college professionally for several years (till I got tired of being around actors)

Take a look at these screen shots…

oh, I’m so remorseful

which way did he go George? Which way did he go?

Honestly, I was quite offended that he would sit there putting on this act, then I got even more offended when the MSNBC “experts” bought into it claiming he looked crazy and it was exactly what the defense needed the court to see. Well OF COURSE it’s what the defense wanted the court to see, but more importantly (and the reason this was broadcast when the entire rest of the case has been SEALED) it’s what they wanted US TO SEE….. obviously.

So why the performance? Why the bad performance? Acting ain’t easy. That solves one question…

Now the hard one… why the performance in the first place.

I don’t think he looks drugged but he could be.

Or, let’s look at it this way… he is approached about starting a new career by an intelligence agency. He’s very bright and they tend to like those types.

He also has a perfectly clean record which serves their purposes (more on that in a minute)

But there is a problem, James Holmes is no killer. He couldn’t possibly go into that theater and kill those kids at point blank range without freezing or fucking up so they need a specialist but they need James to take the fall because of his perfectly clean record would make people SCREAM for more gun regulation, and thus the new UN Treaty gets ratified in a jiffy.

So, they park him back there (drugged or no) and in goes the “specialist” from Tunisia or Sweden or Detroit… who knows.

When he comes out, James takes the rap and goes to court, puts on a show, gets a psych verdict and they tell him he will be taken in the front door of a Super Max and then rushed out the back door to whatever career awaits him. Slick right? Only problem is, once he’s inside, they keep him inside. What’s he gonna say? We had a deal? Who would believe him?

Anyway… more speculation I know… but, that kid was acting in there and he sucks at it. Given that perspective, go watch his “performance” and tell me you don’t see it. That’s the thing about acting… everyone can tell what bad acting is and so few can actually do it well.

"Boycott the Batman: Nolan’s Chaotic, Clunky Propaganda Machine

I am Gotham’s reckoning” Bane

While driving along, I chanced upon a curious ending to a segment on National Petrolium Radio this afternoon. They were closing a discussion of Christopher Nolan’s latest and last Batman offering, The Dark Knight Rises. What I gathered from the few moments of the chat was that they had been discussing the propaganda aspect of the film: meaning Nolan’s less than transparent promoting of support of the Global War on Terror™. Seems like they were debating whether or not it was offensive propaganda targeting the Occupy Movement or if it was just good clean wholesome fun. They closed by saying some guy from Zuccati park just wanted to see the movie because he wanted it to be good so I guess NPR did what they do best.

Regardless of the NPR spin, the last trailer is out and it leaves very little to the imagination as to which side of the debate is actually correct. Nolan’s Batman is propaganda and I would recommend not paying to see it and here is why…

You can watch the trailer for yourself so I won’t waste time breaking it down except to say:
  • You now have scenes of masses of people marching menacingly through what looks like Upper Manhattan 5th Ave past the doormen of the elites
  • You have these same “have nots’ rampaging through the homes of the wealthy, dragging women down the stairs, needlessly wrecking the place, and cruelly pulling the helpless elites from their hiding places to outcomes unknown.
  • You have scenes of terrorist attacks on bridges in “Gotham” (Manhattan) and the scene cuts to children looking out of a school bus window (“Won’t SOMEBODY think of the CHILDREN?!!”)
  • You have mobs of the unwashed masses running at the heroic police officers while Bane (their drug addled leader) sets off more bombs at a football stadium (what’s more all-American than football?)
  • You have what appears to be military grade heavy weapons deployed on the streets of the city.
  • You have protesters dressed up like Syrian “rebels” armed with AK-47s
  • You have Bane and “the terrorists”, the bad guys, ransacking the New York Stock Exchange…
let me say that again
  • You have Bane and “the terrorists”, the bad guys, ransacking the New York Stock Exchange
  • And you have Bruce Wayne, the billionaire silver spooner telling Alfred (his man servant) that he isn’t afraid… he’s angry.
Thus is the final trailer for the film which comes out day after tomorrow.

Since December of 2011 I have been calling for American movie goers to pass on this little bit of for-profit propaganda.

In Boycott the Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy Turns on Us , I explore how Noland has changed the basic concept of the Batman story to meld it into a Cheneyesque “us verses them” narrative. I show how Nolan has turned super-villains into nothing more than terrorists with WMDs and how sometimes the greater good is served by heroes doing evil. If that doesn’t remind you of Cheney claiming we were going to have to move down “the darkside’ to combat terrorism after 9/11, I don’t know what would.

Last month I wrote about the latest posters promoting the film and how obvious the connections with the Occupy Movement where.

Now this final promotional trailer further supports my initial conclusions about the film.

But I am also finding that a large number of film reviewers are kind of hinting at the same conclusions that I reached.
The canvas is epic, the themes are profound, the execution is … clunky.
And that rep is not just intact but the inspiration for the Dent Act, which the mayor of Gotham City boasts put thousands of bad guys in prison with little in the way of due process. With the scum now off the street, business flourishes while the gulf widens between rich and poor.
… wealthy people living high while beneath them, in the sewers, apocalyptic forces gather, embodied here by a masked muscleman called Bane
… Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, who preaches class warfare to Bruce after he catches her rifling his safe” David Edelstein
Film critics Marshall Fine, Christy Lemire, and Nick Pinkerton have panned the film for various reasons.

Rotten Tomatoes had to turn the comments off on the Dark Knight page because of the vicious levels of “hate” and threats of violence stemming from Nolan’s fans reacting to bad reviews. It was the first time Rotten Tomatoes has had to do that.

Nolan has come out and defended his hate-spewing fans who are attacking those who give the film bad reviews. Imagine that: the people who like his pro-War on Terror Dark Knight and his anti-Occupy Dark Knight Rises resort to anger and threats of violence when faced with differences of opinions. It’s interesting what he says about them…
“”I think the fans are very passionate about these characters the way a lot of people are very passionate. Batman’s been around for over 70 years and there’s a reason for that. He has a huge appeal, so I think you know people certainly respond to the character,” he said.” Fox News
If you were going to pick a film series to use as a vehicle for propaganda like this, wouldn’t Batman, the Dark Knight, be the perfect choice? Like he says, people are passionate about the Batman. It’s been around for 70 years. Of course his fans feel connected to the product… that’s how marketing and propaganda works.

“CHANGE” anyone?

Perhaps Nick Pinkerton comes closest to what I see in the film…
If The Dark Knight openly invited interpretation as the War on Terror Batman, then The Dark Knight Rises, whose creators obviously scented the class discontent in the air, is the Occupy Wall Street installment. “You think all this can last?” down-and-out survivor Selina says upon meeting Wayne at a fancy-dress masquerade ball. “There’s a storm coming.”…
… That storm breaks in the form of the living incarnation of Have-Not rancor, Bane…
… Bane is, in posture at least, a radical revolutionist, setting himself up as the champion of the disenfranchised, though it is difficult to imagine who would be seduced by his tactics or his plan “to return control of the city to the people,” followed by the neutralization of law and order and the foundation of a Gotham Commune….
… The perpetrators of the city-upending mutiny have no interest in a new order, only in seeing Gotham purged in blood with a rote ticking time bomb, an apocalypse that precludes the possibility of revolution either failing or succeeding on its own terms.”" Pinkerton
I have to disagree with one thing here though: the Dark Knight would be considered the PRO-War on Terror Batman and the Dark Knight Rises would be the ANTI-Occupy Wall Street Batman. The devil is in the details, Mr. Pinkerton.

According to the reviews, the revolutionaries who are opposed to Gotham’s authoritarian rule (the new Dent Law is passed in light of Batman’s killing of Harvey Dent) get hijacked by Bane’s leadership who is actually being run by Ra’s al Ghul, the terrorist from the first of Nolan’s series.

The implication there-in is that when (if?) the revolution ever starts and the “disenfranchised’ “have-nots” decide to mobilize against the ruling elites, then they are probably being run by outside actors with different agendas, kinda like what Hillary Clinton is doing in Syria. Of course, no REAL revolutionary movement could start in America without the terrorist “international leftests” at its helm.

And what is the greatest fear of the elites at a time like this? Is it the random attacks of the directionless mob or is it the fear that someone will rise, someone like a Moammar Ghadafi, who will give the revolution direction, focus it like a laser, and rout the serpents from the hallowed halls of congress like Andrew Jackson? Someone who will make the revolution institutional and clear the institutions of the blight of the neoliberal Washington Consensus before it takes hold of this country forever.

Their greatest fear… is Bane.

Another negative review from the Associated Press pointed out a rather common criticism of the film which leads one to a better understanding of it’s broader purpose:
“But Nolan’s approach is so coldly cerebral that it’s a detriment to the film’s emotional core. It’s all doom and gloom and no heart. There is no reason to care about these characters, who function more as cogs in an elaborate, chaotic machine than as real people whose souls are at stake.” Associate Press
This is an all too common flaw in the propagandists efforts in that too much attention and effort are focused on the message and the vehicle itself, the story, is left to rot.

Propaganda works best on certain base emotional levels. Appeals to emotional connections via visual imagery like the blowing up of bridges and the quick flash to the children’s faces in the school bus are typical. The imagery forces emotional recall as is evidenced by the review…
Gotham is under siege in ways that tonally and visually recall 9/11; what is obviously the island of Manhattan gets cut off from the outside world at one point.” Associate Press
More than one reviewer writes that Nolan’s Dark Knight falls flat on many levels including believability, character development, and just plain “heart.”

That is what you would expect from “clunky” propaganda… no heart.

How does a film extolling the virtues of Ayn Rand’s soulless philosophy ever have any chance of possessing a heart?

The reviews are in, the last trailer is out there, look at it all for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Though I hate to say it (I could certainly use the 3 hour distraction) I’m going to stand by my original assessment of the film and boycott the Batman. Nolan won’t count my 15 bucks in with the billions he will probably make for demonizing the resistance in America before it even really starts.

"Boycott the Batman: Batman Shrugged

Posted on by willyloman
by Scott Creighton

In the end, what is the final message of Christopher Nolan’s batman? He runs off to be an international playboy with his new love (a professional thief) and his man-servant sitting nearby. He leaves his caped crusade behind him and all the people of Gotham to stew in their own juices, solve their own problems, and he just enjoys his wealth and the rest of his life. Sound a little like Atlas Shrugged?

Bruce Wayne=John Galt?

Without seeing the film, I did find a website which is discussing it, especially the ending, and I figured it was worth taking a few minutes to pat myself on the back since it would appear that I was correct in my reading of the whole Batman series retooled by Christopher Nolan with his new Dick Cheney approach to the classic comic book character. And that Cheneyesque approach even goes so far as to include the mushroom cloud smoking gun. Yep, the Occupy movement is just a bunch of misanthropic followers being led around by the nose by a terrorist and his foreign handlers looking to bring our beloved economic system crashing down around us.

Yes, Batman is a 1%er fighting along side the noble police against the raging and out of control 99%ers.

Yes, Bane is actually being controlled by foreign assets, terrorists who want nothing more than to bring down the “freedoms” in Gotham.

Yes, the smoking gun will be a mushroom cloud.

According to the source that I found, the movie ends with Batman dragging the trite nuclear weapon out of Gotham with his “Bat” (flying bat-mobile) and it detonates over the water supposedly killing the Batman himself. But of course it doesn’t and we later see Bruce Wayne and the Cat-woman enjoying their wealth and new-found romance in an Italian cafe. Wayne gives a gratuitous nod to Alfred, his man-servant, sitting at another table.
What happened: To save Gotham City from nuclear incineration, Batman (Christian Bale) jumped into his newest high-tech military grade vehicle – a flying machine dubbed The Bat – and towed an unstoppable ticking bomb into the sky and out to sea. KABOOM! The Bat went up in ‘shrooming smoke. In the aftermath, the caped crusader was declared deceased, as was his alter-ego, Bruce Wayne, who was believed to have been killed during Bane’s (Tom Hardy) riotous war on Gotham’s wealthy and elite. But that’s what Bruce wanted Gotham to think; in truth, he bailed out of The Bat before it went BOOM! We last saw Bruce at an outdoor café in Italy, enjoying the company of Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), and quietly toasting Alfred from a nearby table, thus fulfilling his guardian’s happily-ever-after dream for him. Bruce was finally freed from the pain of the past, from the self-destructive enterprise of Batman, from the ghosts and ghouls of Gotham. Or, to paraphrase Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities: It’s a far, far better thing than I do than I’ve ever done; it is a far, far better European vacation that I go to than I have ever l known.
Reaction: With Rises, we get a superhero story that ends with a superhero deciding that the life of a costumed vigilante  – no matter how needed or noble – is really no kind of life at all.
There you have it: mushroom cloud smoking guns, Ayn Rand happily ever after endings, and Bane and his terrorist sponsored uprising stamped down for the good of all things holy and profitable and status quo.

Batman apparently donates his mansion for some kind of orphanage and Robin gets to investigate the Bat Cave, setting up still more Global War on Terror supporting movies in the future.

Here are a few comments from that site:
“Sadly…Bane was a HUGE let down for me…no venom, no super strength, just a regualr mercenary that didn’t feel pain and agony? NO. Collosal FAIL.”
That’s because Nolan had to make his super-villains into ordinary guys who just happened to be terrorists.
“Absolutely agree on the idea that Bane going from a philosophical and articulate villain to a puppet was incredibly disappointing.”
Over at the Telegraph, they seem to gleefully admit that Batman via the eyes of Chris Nolan, is nothing more than pro-Global War on Terror and anti-Occupy propaganda. It’s just fine as they conclude that this film is just establishment programing for the masses.
“Imagine that you are a child billionaire, orphaned in a mugging that goes terribly wrong. You decide to devote yourself to making sure that no one else will suffer as you did. But how? Do you open a series of outreach centres, hire probation workers, sponsor rehabilitation schemes? Or do you put on a rubber suit and prowl the streets at night, clobbering members of the underclass until they promise to stop breaking the law?
The answer goes to the heart of Batman’s most terrible secret – not his true identity as Bruce Wayne, playboy industrialist, but the fact that he’s secretly, wonderfully Right-wing. And it’s a secret that is now being exposed by one of the year’s biggest movies. In The Dark Knight Rises, British director Christopher Nolan explicitly casts Batman as the plutocrats’ champion, forced to defend his city against the impoverished victims of depression and globalisation. The ostensible villain may be Tom Hardy’s hulking, monstrous Bane, but the uprising he inspires is essentially Occupy Gotham City, if the “99 Per Cent” used shotguns rather than megaphones.
For some, it may come as a surprise that the Caped Crusader turns out to be a Caped Conservative. But Nolan’s played these tricks before. In his previous Batman film, The Dark Knight, he confronted the people of Gotham with a terrorist threat – Heath Ledger’s Joker – that, like al-Qaeda, could not be predicted or reasoned with. In the process, Batman wrestled with the same quandaries as President Bush. Can it be right to torture a prisoner to obtain vital information? The film’s answer, like the president’s, was an unequivocal yes. Can total electronic surveillance be justified to catch one or two bad apples? In this case, Nolan’s answer was more liberal: Batman hands control of his all-powerful spying device to that unwavering moral arbiter Morgan Freeman, the closest thing to St Augustine that our fallen age can muster.” Telegraph
