(NaturalNews) James Holmes, the Aurora, Colorado shooter who reportedly opened fire at a Batman movie premiere, was a medical student at the University of Colorado, pursuing a PhD in neuroscience, reports ABC News. (http://abcnews.go.com/US/mass-shooting-colorado-movie-theater-14-peop...)
As part of the attack, Holmes painted his hair red and referred to himself as "The Joker," one of the arch enemies in the DC Comics-inspired Batman movie series. (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/07/20/police-14-dead-in-colorado-the...)
According to news reports, this sudden violent rampage was completely out of character for James Holmes, who was described as "shy."
The New York Times is now reporting:
Billy Kromka, a pre-med student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, worked with Mr. Holmes for three months last summer as a research assistant in a lab of at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Mr. Kromka said he was surprised to learn Mr. Holmes was the shooting suspect. "It was just shocking, because there was no way I thought he could have the capacity to do commit an atrocity like this," he said. There is already conjecture that James Holmes may have been involved in mind-altering neuroscience research and ended up becoming involved at a depth he never anticipated. His actions clearly show a strange detachment from reality, indicating he was not in his right mind. That can only typically be accomplished through drugs, hypnosis or trauma (and sometimes all three).
His behavior doesn't add up
His behavior already reveals stark inconsistencies that question the mainstream explanation of events. For example, he opened fire on innocent people but then calmly surrendered to police without resistance. This is not consistent with the idea of "killing everyone."
Furthermore, he then admitted to police that his apartment was booby-trapped with explosives. If you were really an evil-minded Joker trying to kill people (including cops), why would you warn them about the booby trap in advance? It doesn't add up.
"Holmes was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, police said, adding he didn't resist when he was arrested," reports a local CBS news affiliate (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/07/20/police-14-dead-in-colorado-the...).
"After his arrest, Holmes told police about 'possible explosives in his residence,' Oates said. When police searched his apartment, they discovered it was booby-trapped and evacuated surrounding buildings, police said. Oates said bomb technicians are determining how to disarm flammable or explosive material in the third-floor apartment. He said police could be there some time."
None of this checks out. If you're a killer bent on causing mayhem, why tell the police about your surprise bomb waiting for them back at your apartment?
Holmes was clearly provided with exotic gear

"He said pictures from inside the apartment are fairly disturbing and the devices look to be sophisticated, adding the booby-traps were 'something I've never seen.' One rifle, two handguns, a knife, a bullet proof vest, a ballistic helmet, a gas device, a gas mask, military SWAT clothing and unidentified explosives were also found in Holmes' car, a law enforcement source told CBS News. Oates said Holmes wore a gas mask, a ballistic helmet and vest as well as leg, groin and throat protectors during the shooting."
In other words, this guy was equipped with exotic gear by someone with connections to military equipment. SWAT clothing, explosives, complex booby-traps... c'mon, this isn't a "lone gunman." This is somebody who was selected for a mission, given equipment to carry it out, then somehow brainwashed into getting it done.

This is not your run-of-the-mill crime of passion. It was a carefully planned, heavily funded and technically advanced attack. Who might be behind all this? As you soak all this in, remember that the FBI had admitted to setting up terror plots, providing the weapons and gear, staging the location of the bombings and even driving the vehicles to pull it off! Mystery man Holmes has no background
On top of all this, Holmes apparently has no background. "He's not on anybody's radar screen -- nothing," said a peace officer in a NYT article. "This guy is somewhat of an enigma. Nobody knows anything about him." (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/21/us/colorado-mall-shooting.html)
Mr. Holmes's only criminal history is a traffic summons, the authorities said. He earned a bachelor's degree with honors in neuroscience in 2010 from the University of California, Riverside, and was a graduate student in neurosciences at the University of Colorado at Denver's Anschutz Medical Campus... He was currently collecting unemployment...
Question: How does an unemployed medical student afford $20,000 in weapons gear?
If you start to look at the really big picture here, the obvious question arises: How does an unemployed medical student afford all the complex weapons gear, bomb-making gear, "flammable" booby trap devices, ammunition, multiple magazines, bullet-proof vest, groin protection, ballistic helmet, SWAT uniform and all the rest of it?
A decent AR-15 rifle costs $1,000 or more all by itself. The shotgun and handgun might run another $800 total. Spare mags, sights, slings, and so on will run you at least another $1,000 across three firearms. The bullet-proof vest is easily another $800, and the cost of the bomb-making gear is anybody's guess. With all the specialty body gear, ammunition, booby-trap devices and more, I'm guessing this is at least $20,000 in weapons and tactical gear, much of which is very difficult for civilians to get in the first place.
The mere manufacture of an explosive booby-trap device is, all by itself, a felony crime by the way. And remember: "Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said Holmes' apartment is booby-trapped with a 'sophisticated' maze of flammable devices. Question: Where does an unemployed, introverted medical school student get the training to deploy sophisticated booby traps, tactical body armor, weapons systems and more? Certainly not in graduate school!
All this leads to an obvious third party influence over all this. Someone else taught this guy these skills and funded the acquisition of the equipment.
Staged just in time for a vote on the UN small arms treaty?
More and more, this shooting is looking like a deliberate plot staged by the government itself much like Operation Fast and Furious pulled off by the ATF (http://www.naturalnews.com/032934_ATF_illegal_firearms.html) which helped smuggle tens of thousands of guns into Mexico for the purpose of causing "gun violence" in the USA, then blaming the Second Amendment for it.
All this looks like James Holmes completed a "mission" and then calmly ended that mission by surrendering to police and admitting everything. The mission, as we are now learning, was to cause as much terror and mayhem as possible, then to have that multiplied by the national media at exactly the right time leading up the UN vote next week on a global small arms treaty that could result in gun confiscation across America. Even Forbes.com wrote about this quite extensively, warning readers about the coming gun confiscation effort related to the UN treaty. The story was authored by Larry Bell (http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2011/06/07/u-n-agreement-should...) and says the UN treaty could "override our national sovereignty, and in the process, provide license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights."
In other words, this has all the signs of Fast & Furious, Episode II. I wouldn't be surprised to discover someone in Washington was behind it all. After all, there's no quicker way to disarm a nation and take total control over the population than to stage violence, blame it on firearms, then call for leaders to "do something!" Such calls inevitably end up resulting in gun confiscation, and it's never too long after that before government genocide really kicks in like we saw with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and other tyrants.

A "monopoly of force" in government is far more dangerous than a crazed lone shooter
So yes, James Holmes and other crazed shooters kill a number of people each year in random acts of violence. It's horrifying and wrong, but it's nothing compared to the millions of lives that governments tend to destroy when they gain total power over the populace.
The most dangerous thing in the world, it turns out, is not a crazy person with a rifle; it's a government with a "monopoly of force" over the entire population. What a horrendous tragedy that occurred overnight in Aurora Colorado during the Dark Knight midnight movie. It is so sad and hard to comprehend that someone would do what they did. James Holmes a 24 year old shot and killed multiple people.
Of course what do politicians do? They exploit tragedies!~ So many of them are jumping on the bandwagon of calling for "Gun control" over this horrid tragedy. Including Bloomberg who is a control freak and wants to make everything illegal and has made N.Y.C. a complete police state.
Mayor Bloomberg has come out today saying "Soothing words are not enough."
“I mean, there’s so many murders with guns every day,” he continued. “It’s just gotta stop. And instead of these two people, President [Barack] Obama and Governor [Mitt] Romney talking in broad things about, they want to make the world a better place. OK. Tell us how. And this is a problem. No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?”
Bloomberg went on to suggest most of the nation’s governors should also make their stances clear.
Well, lets think about this for one moment. What if there had been someone in the theater watching the movie that had a concealed weapons permit? Think about how that person could have shot the shooter that was randomly killing people. That person would have been a Hero!
It is not more gun control, but what is needed is more people get permits to carry and that would make our streets safer.
Yes, there are some insane people out there. So if someone crashes a car into a building and hurts people.... do you outlaw all cars? If someone takes a knife and stabs another.... do you outlaw all knives? If someone takes a bat or blunt object and hits another person do you outlaw all bats?
All those things happen all the time.
Guns do not kill, people do. People who are not right in their thinking will find one way or another to kill someone if that is what they want to do.
So...ask the politicians that want to take away our second amendment rights if they will take all knives and every other thing someone has used to kill another person away too?
OH.... timely incident considering the "Small Arms Treaty" that Obama is working on with the United Nations.
My prayers and thoughts are with all those impacted in Colorado.
If only there had been a person who had a gun in the theater, they could have taken out the shooter and less people may have been murdered.

No doubt some idiots will either blame this on either guns, or worse on films or worst on the Batman film in particular. Of course in the culture of non accountability and irresponsibility, one has to find something grand to blame rather than looking at the person who actually committed the crime and what their circumstances were. His hair was painted red by the way, they tried to add, (joker has green hair) and the guy was not wearing makeup and had never mentioned anything like that to the people he knew. I gotta call BS on the Joker line. I would say it most likely has nothing to do with the film, the guy was on psychotropics and went to a theatre where he knew there would be lots of people. I will bet one zimbabwe note he was on SSRIs. They always are.

We are horrified, saddened and shocked over the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting that has left 12 dead and dozens more wounded (see full story here).
As the world’s leading mental health watchdog, CCHR has for decades investigated hundreds of similar acts of senseless violence in coordination with the press and law enforcement as well as in legislative hearings, such as those held following the 1999 Columbine massacre (ringleader Eric Harris was found to be under the influence of the antidepressant Luvox, Dylan Klebold’s autopsy reports were never unsealed). And while there is never one simple explanation for what drives a human being to commit such unspeakable acts, all too often one common denominator has surfaced in hundreds of cases—prescribed psychotropic drugs which are documented to cause mania, psychosis, violence, suicide and in some cases, homicidal ideation. It would be an injustice not to explore all possible reasons for the senseless tragedy, and so we once again present the facts about psychiatric drugs and violence:

Between 2004 and 2011, there have been over 11,000 reports to the U.S. FDA’s MedWatch system of psychiatric drug side effects related to violence. These include 300 cases of homicide, nearly 3,000 cases of mania and over 7,000 cases of aggression. Note: By the FDA’s own admission, only 1-10% of side effects are ever reported to the FDA, so the actual number of side effects occurring are most certainly higher.
There have been 22 international drug regulatory warnings issued on psychiatric drugs causing violence, mania, hostility, aggression, psychosis, and other violent type reactions. These warnings have been issued in the United States, European Union, Japan, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
Nearly every mass school shooting has involved a minor under the influence of such drugs, as well as many other highly cited cases, an example of which we have listed below.
In determining what would prompt James Holmes, identified as the 24-year-old gunman in the Aurora, Colorado shooting to commit such a brutal and senseless crime, the press must ask the right questions, including: What, if any, prescribed psychotropic drugs Holmes may have been on (or in withdrawal from).

Aside from questions of security and how something like this can be prevented in the future, there are two things that immediately came to mind upon hearing about the tragedy in Aurora that the news media will likely not discuss.
First is the issue of heavily-prescribed psychiatric drugs and the terrible anti-social and violent side effects that they can have. When one researches any of the mass shootings that have occurred in recent history, in nearly every single one, psychiatric drugs (or symptoms of withdrawal) were involved. There is no word yet on whether Holmes was on them as well, but given the political interests that are involved with the pharmaceutical industry and the frequency at which they are prescribed, the chances are high that he was and that it would be under-reported or ignored.
Secondly, Eric Harris, who along with Dylan Klebold committed the Columbine massacre, was inspired by President Clinton's bombing of Serbia. "I hope we do go to war...[I want to] shoot every one," he told a friend. He even tried to join the Marines, but the recruiter was hesitant because Harris was taking anti-depressants.
Was Holmes inspired, directly or indirectly, by the incredible amount of violence and carnage that President Obama inflicts around the world? This is not hyperbole, it's an honest question. If a president is supposed to be the leader of a people, what example is set when that president brags and gloats about his "kill lists," drone strikes, and extrajudicial assassinations?
Because of Holmes' heinous crimes, security may well be upgraded in theaters and other places with large crowds of people. No amount of additional government powers or enhanced security, however, can mask the institutionalized factors that have led to public shooting sprees in the past and that were likely behind Holmes's as well. The only thing worse than these acts of mass violence would be failing to recognize these multitude of determinants involved and ignoring them.

Sacramento media puts random violence usually on the second page of newspapers. If you look at the hundreds of headlines in mainstream and niche media, you can see the blame game has started on speculating the motive for the murders that the Aurora, Colorado shooter had for dressing up like the Joker in a Batman comic book or movie, and doing the wild thing that only the joker would do: mass killings with guns and booby trap explosions, chaos and mayhem. The media, like the shooter will go to any length of blame gaming to seek attention...or make an impact.
The shooter didn't dress up like the Dark Knight, a hero character. He choose the Joker, the evil side of humanity. Sacramento mainstream newspapers and radio programs are playing the blame game. This afternoon, one radio talk show host speculated that the shooter may have been taking anti-depressants which might have given him angry, aggressive thoughts as one motive as to why the shooter committed random violence. Meanwhile the statistics change from 59 to 70 injured and back again to 59, and from 12 to 14 killed thirty minutes into the premier at midnight of the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises."
Allegedly, the shooter tinted his hair red like the joker. Why the joker role instead of the Batman role at a midnight event where coming in costume wasn't the venue as in the Rocky Picture Horror Show. Did he want to make an impact like the joker does? It's out of character...for him. Or is it? The focus now is on the media and the blame game started in the news stories of motive and background.
If one gun won't go off, another will says the old adage
As the media sometimes surmises, when one gun won't go off, another will. See, Profile on sex site could belong to the Colorado shooter. The shooter's family lives in San Diego, CA. And the shooter graduated with honors from the University of California, Riverside before enrolling in graduate work in Colorado. There's only a thin line between violence and sex. Did the shooter get sexual satisfaction out of shooting guns or setting explosive booby traps in his apartment to distract the police to another part of the city?

Yet the media contrasts how much out of character the Colorado shooter appears as he now sits in jail, himself not harmed by the chaos he created.
The Aurora, Colorado shooter graduated with honors in neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside and was a doctoral student in neuroscience until he recently dropped out of graduate school. Was he depressed after spending all that money on education and only being able to find a job that didn't pay enough?
He also worked in some of the research towers at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Holmes was not in the medical school, but worked in research facilities on the campus. Holmes voluntarily left that program last month.

Powerful psychotropic drugs like Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI), commonly known as anti-depressants can lead to violence as a result of psychotic breaks. At this time it is not known whether the Aurora, Colorado shooter had been taking any type of anti-depressants or other medicines for depression, even whether he had any depression.
Side effects associated with the class of antidepressants known as the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors that may drive people to suicide or violence against others is called by the term 'akathisia.' The term is only one of many side effects. Aggression and irritability in akathisia by reducing impulse control
There's a reference book physicians use to define mental issues called the DSM-IV. This reference book acknowledges the association of akathisia with suicidality and states: "Akathisia may be associated with dysphoria, irritability, aggression, or suicide attempts."
According to Dr Cohen, SSRI's can create a combination of side effects that reduce impulse control and cause severe agitation or restlessness that may become intolerable. He says, impulsive behavior coupled with impaired cognitive functioning can be dangerous. Aside from questions of security and how something like this can be prevented in the future, there are two things that immediately came to mind upon hearing about the tragedy in Aurora that the news media will likely not discuss.
First is the issue of heavily-prescribed psychiatric drugs and the terrible anti-social and violent side effects that they can have. When one researches any of the mass shootings that have occurred in recent history, in nearly every single one, psychiatric drugs (or symptoms of withdrawal) were involved. There is no word yet on whether Holmes was on them as well, but given the political interests that are involved with the pharmaceutical industry and the frequency at which they are prescribed, the chances are high that he was and that it would be under-reported or ignored.
Secondly, Eric Harris, who along with Dylan Klebold committed the Columbine massacre, was inspired by President Clinton's bombing of Serbia. "I hope we do go to war...[I want to] shoot every one," he told a friend. He even tried to join the Marines, but the recruiter was hesitant because Harris was taking anti-depressants.
Was Holmes inspired, directly or indirectly, by the incredible amount of violence and carnage that President Obama inflicts around the world? This is not hyperbole, it's an honest question. If a president is supposed to be the leader of a people, what example is set when that president brags and gloats about his "kill lists," drone strikes, and extrajudicial assassinations?
Because of Holmes' heinous crimes, security may well be upgraded in theaters and other places with large crowds of people. No amount of additional government powers or enhanced security, however, can mask the institutionalized factors that have led to public shooting sprees in the past and that were likely behind Holmes's as well. The only thing worse than these acts of mass violence would be failing to recognize these multitude of determinants involved and ignoring them.

Sacramento media puts random violence usually on the second page of newspapers. If you look at the hundreds of headlines in mainstream and niche media, you can see the blame game has started on speculating the motive for the murders that the Aurora, Colorado shooter had for dressing up like the Joker in a Batman comic book or movie, and doing the wild thing that only the joker would do: mass killings with guns and booby trap explosions, chaos and mayhem. The media, like the shooter will go to any length of blame gaming to seek attention...or make an impact.
The shooter didn't dress up like the Dark Knight, a hero character. He choose the Joker, the evil side of humanity. Sacramento mainstream newspapers and radio programs are playing the blame game. This afternoon, one radio talk show host speculated that the shooter may have been taking anti-depressants which might have given him angry, aggressive thoughts as one motive as to why the shooter committed random violence. Meanwhile the statistics change from 59 to 70 injured and back again to 59, and from 12 to 14 killed thirty minutes into the premier at midnight of the latest Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises."
Allegedly, the shooter tinted his hair red like the joker. Why the joker role instead of the Batman role at a midnight event where coming in costume wasn't the venue as in the Rocky Picture Horror Show. Did he want to make an impact like the joker does? I agree with you, the attack was obviously masterfully timed. How the heck did the shooter know exactly when to burst in and start shooting during a scene that featured just that? He had a gas mask, like the villain in the film, and he threw around tear gas to cause maximum confusion. The theater was obviously dark. What makes police so sure only one person was involved?
