Why not just make Israel the 1st of the 51 states and reflect the reality of control in this country?

WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court declared a law allowing Americans born in Jerusalem to list Israel as their birthplace on their US passports unconstitutional Tuesday, the latest ruling in a case that stretches back a decade.
The three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said that the 2002 law impermissibly infringes on the president’s exercise of the power to recognize foreign governments.
The case was brought by parents of an American boy named Menachem Zivotofsky, who was born in a Jerusalem hospital soon after the law was passed. The parents wanted to list Israel as his birthplace, but the United States has refused to recognize any nation’s sovereignty over Jerusalem since Israel’s creation in 1948 — so the boy’s US passport only says “Jerusalem” as his birthplace.
The Bush administration said Congress cannot tell the president what to do regarding this aspect of foreign relations, and the Obama administration has taken the same position. US foreign policy says the status of Jerusalem should be resolved in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
For once I agree with the executive, and what it shows you is they are at least a little less toady towards Israel than that AIPAC-controlled Congre$$.
Tuesday’s opinion, written by Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson, an appointee of President George H.W. Bush, took a long look at the history of the president’s power.
‘‘Beginning with the administration of our first president, George Washington, the executive has believed that it has the exclusive power to recognize foreign nations,’’ she wrote.
In addition, Henderson wrote, the Supreme Court has more than once said that the recognition power lies exclusively with the president.
She said the passport law “runs headlong into a carefully calibrated and longstanding executive branch policy of neutrality toward Jerusalem.”
The law was part of a large foreign affairs bill that President George W. Bush signed into law. As he did so, Bush issued a signing statement in which he said that “US policy regarding Jerusalem has not changed.”
Henderson said that the purpose of the passport law was to alter US foreign policy toward Jerusalem, noting its title is “United States Policy with Respect to Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel.”
Henderson was joined by Judge Judith W. Rogers, an appointee of President Clinton. The third judge, David S. Tatel, also a Clinton appointee, filed a concurring opinion in which he said he fully concurred in the court’s opinion, but wanted to “elucidate my thinking about the important and novel separation-of-powers question this case presents.”
The attorney for the Zivotofskys, Nathan Lewin, said in a statement that he will try to get the case heard in the US Supreme Court.
“We hope that before Menachem Zivotofsky’s bar mitzvah he will be able to bear a passport that recognizes his birthplace as ‘Israel,’ ” Lewin wrote. Jewish boys have their bar mitzvah at the age of 13.

NEW YORK — In Brooklyn’s ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods, Mendel Epstein made a name for himself as the rabbi to see for women struggling to divorce their husbands. Among the Orthodox, a divorce requires the husband’s permission, known as a “get,” and tales abound of women whose husbands refuse to consent.
While it is common for rabbis to take drastic action, such as barring a defiant husband from synagogue life, Epstein, 68, took matters much further, according to the authorities.
For hefty fees, he orchestrated the kidnapping and torture of reluctant husbands, charging their wives as much as $10,000 for a decree permitting violence and $50,000 for hiring others to carry out the deed, according to federal charges.
Epstein, along with another rabbi, Martin Wolmark, who is the head of a yeshiva, as well as several men in what the authorities called the “kidnapping team,” appeared in US District Court in Trenton, N.J., after a sting operation in which an undercover federal agent posed as an Orthodox Jewish woman and solicited Epstein’s services.
Paul Fishman, the US attorney for New Jersey, said investigators have “uncovered evidence of at least as many as a couple of dozen” victims. Many are men from Brooklyn who were taken to New Jersey as part of the kidnappings.

I'll bet this case will disappear as one of those roaches caught out in the open. This will become what we call a one-day wonder, and certainly will not demand the days and days of coverage like Zimmerman or Forth Hood did in my agenda-pushing jewspaper.
In court, the lead prosecutor, R. Joseph Gribko, explained how abductions were carried out: “They beat them up, tied them up, shocked them with Tasers and stun guns until they got what they want.”
The Orthodox community in Brooklyn has grappled for years with challenges facing women who want to divorce their husbands. In 1996, for instance, the Central Rabbinical Congress in Williamsburg issued a statement denouncing the rogue men who subjected husbands to beatings, according to a news report.
Epstein was sued by a local rabbi, Abraham Rubin, who claimed a group of men shoved him into a van, hooded him, and applied electric shocks to his genitals in an effort to force him to provide a get to his wife. The lawsuit was dismissed.
How such violent practices, if proved, would have been able to persist for so long may be an indicator of the challenges law enforcement agencies face in trying to conduct investigations of insular religious or ethnic groups like the ultra-Orthodox and Hasidic communities.
The statement is amazing seeing as the have no compunction about placing spies and instigating informants inside mosques or hassling rural Christians.
Epstein seemed confident local authorities would not investigate too closely. In a recorded meeting with the female undercover FBI agent, Epstein explained that his preferred torture techniques — such as electric shocks — offered little physical evidence of abuse, according to the complaint. Without visible injuries, Epstein said, police were unlikely to inquire too deeply. “Basically the reaction of the police is, if the guy does not have a mark on him then, uh, is there some Jewish crazy affair here, they don’t want to get involved,” he explained, according to the criminal complaint.
I get tired of typing about the two-tiered $y$tem of ju$tice in Amerika. Jewish control of this society is damn near absolute.
Epstein made his living appearing before the rabbinical courts, known as beit din, where he advocated on behalf of a spouse seeking an exit. He took a special interest in the constraints wives faced, speaking about women’s rights in terms not often heard in his conservative community.
Rabbinical courts separate from AmeriKan justice don't raise a hackle, but put a mosque in a neighborhood and watch the inculcated and indoctrinated masses of AmeriKa start hollering the threat of Sharia law. Muslims mistreat their women, or so my jewsmedia tells me, while we are aljuistic.
Btw, Jewish neighborhoods in AmeriKa even have their own private defense forces -- not that they really need them. No Zimmerman attention for the good Jewish boys of Baltimore, 'eh?

On Thursday, the 10 defendants, many of them bearded and some wearing skullcaps and white shirts, were denied bail after appearing in court in Trenton on the kidnapping conspiracy charges.
Juda J. Epstein, the lawyer for Epstein, declined to comment.
A neighbor, Rose Davis, who lives in the Kensington section of Brooklyn, described him as a well-known and respected figure. Davis said she was skeptical of the charges against him, and suggested they might be the concoctions of enemies he had made as an expert in divorce work: “There’s always a loser,” she said, referring to divorce cases.

NEW YORK — A longtime Jewish community leader who headed one of the city’s most influential social service organizations was charged Tuesday with looting the charity for two decades, stealing more than $5 million with two confederates and pocketing $1 million himself.

State authorities investigating the scheme found more than $400,000 in cash squirreled away in the homes of the community leader, William E. Rapfogel, 58, who was arraigned in criminal court on charges that included grand larceny, money laundering, conspiracy, and criminal tax fraud.
Rapfogel’s history at the organization, the Metropolitan New York Council on Jewish Poverty, where he was a figure of such prominence and respect that he was often referred to as the Prince of the Jews, was mired in fraud from almost the moment he took the helm in 1992, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case.
I think people really need to start examining this fealty of worship towards the chosen people. Turns out more and more of them are being exposed as thieves, perverts, or worse.
It was a history, according to the complaint, of cash kickbacks passed in envelopes and a slush fund that funneled campaign contributions to politicians who provided government grants to the nonprofit organization.
Oh, so POLITICIANS are INVOLVED, huh? Sending TAXPAYER MONEY in the form of GOVERNMENT GRANTS to the JEWI$H LOOTERS!
The cash payments and the contributions were skimmed from overpayments to Met Council’s insurance broker, where one of the two people listed in the complaint as Rapfogel’s coconspirators worked.
After Rapfogel was fired in August on allegations of financial improprieties, he publicly acknowledged unspecified wrongdoing, issuing a statement saying, “I deeply regret the mistakes I have made that led to my departure.”
The charges were based in some measure on investigators’ interviews with Rapfogel and the two people referred to as coconspirators, who were not identified in the complaint....
The charges stem from an investigation by the state attorney general, Eric T. Schneiderman, and the state comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli, into Rapfogel’s stewardship of the social service organization, which first detected the improprieties and alerted state authorities.
“It’s always sad and shocking when we discover that someone used a charity as their own personal piggy bank — but even more so when that scheme involves someone well respected in government and his community,” Schneiderman said in a news release.
And when he is Jewish because we don't expect that, do we?

A hundred security cameras will be installed on public lampposts throughout the Midwood and Borough Park neighborhoods in the coming months — the result of a $1 million state grant secured in the wake of a horrific crime: the 2011 abduction, dismemberment, and murder of an 8-year-old Hasidic boy named Leiby Kletzky.

The Leiby Kletzky Security Initiative, as it is called, was announced a year after the gruesome killing of the boy, whose body parts were found in a freezer and inside a red suitcase tossed into the trash.

But some have questioned whether there is a need for cameras in an area where crime is considerably lower than in other parts of the city.
In the 66th Precinct, where Leiby’s slaying occurred, there were no homicides reported last year and only one so far in 2013.
That compares with 14 homicides last year and seven this year just 6 miles away in the 73d Precinct in Brownsville.

NEW YORK — A new survey of US Jews has confirmed some of the community’s worst fears: One in five American Jews say they have no religion, and their ranks appear to be growing.
There is always hope.
Jews in this category feel pride in being Jewish and a strong sense of belonging to the greater Jewish community. But they say their connection is based mostly on culture and ancestry, not necessarily on belief in God or observance of religious law. A large majority said remembering the Holocaust, being ethical, and advocating for social justice formed the core of their Jewish identity.
Then their "leaders" are as $hitty as ours.
The report, released Tuesday by the Pew Research Center’s Religion & Public Life Project, is an in-depth look at how American Jewish identity has changed in recent decades....
Jew polls are very well respected.
Secularism has long been part of American Jewish life, which includes movements such as the Society for Humanistic Judaism founded in Detroit in the 1960s....
The report contains no definitive finding on the overall size of the American Jewish population. Estimates can vary significantly depending on what definition is used for who can be considered Jewish. Controversy still surrounds the 2000-2001 National Jewish Population Survey, which some academics insist undercounted the number of US Jews.
That makes up for the overcount of Holohoax dead.
In this latest Pew survey, researchers generally placed American Jews into two categories: those who say their religion is Jewish — dubbed ‘‘Jews by religion’’ — and those who say they are Jewish but say they have no particular religion, called ‘‘Jews of no religion.’’
I pretty much place them in one category now. That is what my mind-manipulating jewsmedia has done to me.
According to these categories, Pew estimated that the United States is home to 6.7 million Jews. The survey’s authors also provided a wide range of higher and lower estimates using broader and narrower definitions of Jewish identity.
The survey confirmed that liberal Reform Judaism is the largest movement within American Jewish life....
The survey found that Orthodox Jews are not only having larger families, but also seem to be doing a better job of keeping younger generations within the fold....

Isn't it bad enough they have taken over the entire political, cultural, and social systems of the nation? Now they have to take over the damn Thanksgiving Day?
‘‘It’s pretty amazing to me that in this country we can have rich secular and rich religious celebrations and that those of us who live in both worlds can find moments when they meet and can really celebrate that convergence. There are a lot of places in the world where we would not be able to do that,’’ Paskin said.
The lunisolar nature of the Jewish calendar makes Hanukkah and other religious observances appear to drift from year to year when compared with the US, or Gregorian, calendar. It starts this year on Nov. 27, with Thanksgiving the next day.
But much of the intrigue over Hanukkah this year is buried in the history of Thanksgiving itself, which has not always had a fixed date.
In 1863, Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving as the last Thursday in November (the month sometimes has five of those) and the holiday remained there until President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed a resolution of Congress fixing it as the fourth Thursday.
And now it is a Jewish holiday.
