"Concord doctor pleads guilty to Medicare fraud

A Concord doctor on Tuesday pleaded guilty to helping defraud Medicare, the federal health insurance program for the elderly, of more than $27 million, US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz’s office said.

Spencer Wilking, 65, was the medical director at a Waltham home health agency, “At Home VNA,” where he was accused of working with two others to commit home health care fraud by billing Medicare for services that patients did not qualify for, request, or, in some cases, receive, Ortiz’s office said....
