"French rightist’s remark denounced"  New York Times   June 10, 2014

PARIS — Antiracism activists vowed Monday to file a criminal complaint against the far-right National Front’s founder Jean-Marie Le Pen after he used an apparently anti-Semitic pun to dismiss one of his Jewish critics.

Off on the wrong foot with me.

Just thought I would give it a couple kicks before passing it back.

In a video clip posted on the far-right National Front’s website and later removed, Le Pen, 85, lashed out against several of his critics. When questioned about the French singer Patrick Bruel, who is Jewish and has been critical of the party, Le Pen said: “We’ll include him in the next batch.” Le Pen used the French word “fournée,” which refers to a batch of bread to be baked and was interpreted by his critics to be a reference to crematories at Nazi death camps.

I've heard enough.

On Sunday, National Front leader Marine Le Pen said that her father had made a “political error,” even as she told Le Figaro, the French newspaper, that the “meaning given to his comments is a malicious interpretation.”

Aline Le Bail-Kremer, a spokeswoman for SOS Racisme, on Monday said her antiracism group would file a criminal complaint against Le Pen. “Marine Le Pen calls this a political fault, but this is blatant anti-Semitism and it is scandalous,” she said. “Calling for Jews to be sent to the ovens is not a political mistake. It is an incitement and a moral fault of the highest order.”

I get it, I get it.

I'm wondering whether I will make it through this withering assault:

"French party leader says daughter ‘put a knife in my back’; Feud on far right follows alleged anti-Semitism" by Elaine Ganley | Associated Press   June 12, 2014

PARIS — A tempest has been unleashed upon the House of Le Pen, the seat of France’s rising far right, with the wounded patriarch and founder of the National Front lashing out at his political heir and daughter in a feud about an anti-Semitic smear.

A public dressing-down of Jean-Marie Le Pen shows how far his daughter, Marine Le Pen, will go to make the party a cornerstone of the French political landscape and loft her into her dream job, the presidency.

‘‘My daughter has put a knife in my back,’’ Jean-Marie Le Pen, 85, said after being banished from the anti-immigration party’s website and entombed behind a wall of silence by party officials, including his daughter.

France's Night of the Long Knives.

‘‘If I piss them off, they have only to kill me,’’ Le Pen told a cultural publication, Les Inrockuptibles. ‘‘I will not commit suicide.’’

The drama began after Le Pen made a remark in a video on his weekly blog widely interpreted as an allusion to the Holocaust.

Make sure you cite the registered trademark.

Referring to artists who’ve said they won’t perform in towns run by the National Front — namely actor-singer Patrick Bruel, who is Jewish — Le Pen said, ‘‘We’ll put a batch in the oven the next time.’’

I didn't laugh.

Marine Le Pen called the remark a ‘‘political mistake.’’ For critics, it was a light reprimand for a man who has been cited numerous times for anti-Semitic statements and racism.

The French Donald Sterling?

But Tuesday night, a top party official, Wallerand de Saint Just, announced that Le Pen’s blog would no longer appear. He risks posing an ‘‘important danger’’ to Marine Le Pen, Saint Just said. ‘‘We are taking precautions,’’ he added.

Le Pen denies his remark was anti-Semitic and said those who think so are ‘‘political enemies or imbeciles.’’

On Wednesday night, he said he planned an open letter on Thursday to his daughter, seeking a return to the status quo.

In an interview with the daily Le Monde, he said the sanction was ‘‘illegitimate.’’

‘‘To criticize a Jew, or to respond to him, is not being anti-Semitic. They are citizens like others,’’ he said, adding that party officials ‘‘fear being accused of the absolute crime of anti-Semitism.’’

The odd thing is it is the Palestinians who are the Semites; the Israeli are Khazarian usurpers and converts.

Marine Le Pen, 46, National Front leader since 2011, aspires to the presidency and is working to put together a powerful extreme-right group in the European Parliament. She led the anti-EU party to victory in elections last month. It made significant gains in municipal elections two months earlier.

Her successes have been due in part to transforming the National Front from a pariah, whose supporters often lied about voting for it, into an acceptable political alternative to the governing Socialists and conservative rivals. She rants against Muslim immigrants but has come down hard on references to anti-Semitism.

Then Israel should have nothing to fear.

The elder Le Pen has spent the past half-century as France’s most controversial political leader but has strong support. He was easily reelected to the European Parliament.

In a dig at his daughter, he derided a National Front group she created, the Blue Marine Rally, as a ‘‘strange formation without substance.’’ It has served as a conduit for voters not ready to be card-carrying party members.

Marine Le Pen has called out the troops to explain what party vice president Florian Philippot played down as an ‘‘artificial argument.’’

Ever defiant, Jean-Marie Le Pen said he’ll simply transfer his blog to his personal site, and insists that as the party’s honorary ‘‘president for life,’’ he cannot be forced into retirement.

Fancy footwork keeps possession of the ball:

"More French Jews choosing to start new lives in Israel; Social, political, economic factors prompt moves" by Lori Hinnant and Tia Goldenberg | Associated Press   June 20, 2014

Hey, I'm no longer complaining. We know who the paper is being written of, by, and for. Just recognizing it and moving the ball along.

PARIS — Increasing numbers of French Jews are leaving for Israel, citing dim economic prospects and a sense of being caught between an increasingly influential far right and militant Islam. More than 5,000 are on track to leave this year, the most since after the Six-Day War in 1967.

Another exodus of poor, persecuted Jews!

Turn over that record, will ya?

Israel, seeing the influx as a success, is doubling down on its efforts to attract Europeans, planning to dedicate $29 million over two years to bring in new immigrants.

Just as long as you are not black

Maybe this will repair their image. Not only an apartheid state, but a racist one.

France has the world’s third-largest Jewish population after Israel and the United States, about 500,000, according to rough estimates. The country bans any official documentation of a person’s race, religion, or ethnicity in a law with roots in French shame over its collaboration with the Nazis.

That charge has lost a lot of steam.

Since World War II, France has redoubled efforts to make Jewish families feel welcome. But many say dramatic acts of anti-Semitism coupled with France’s stagnant economy — which includes a 25 percent youth unemployment rate, compared with 11 percent in Israel — make a hard choice easier.

Laurie Levy, 26, left in 2013. A native of the southern city of Toulouse, her departure came after attacks by a French-born Islamic radical on a Jewish school and soldiers left seven people dead, including three children and a rabbi. She has given up on a career in French law and left behind her parents and siblings.

And caused the Jews to flee to Israel, huh?

Maybe that is a good thing after all. Get 'em all in one place for Armaggeddon, if you believe in all that riot anyway.

In Tel Aviv, she no longer feels the need to hide the Star of David she wears around her neck. But there are other concerns: Her parents are unlikely to uproot themselves and she worries about their future back in France. They, in turn, worry about her, living alone in a different country.

‘‘Life is beautiful here. . . . You’re not afraid,’’ said Levy, who now works at an Israeli design firm.

It is if you are not Palestinian or Arab.

That she was able to switch fields and find a job is a demonstration of Israel’s economic allure.

Then WHY DO THEY NEED BILLIONS upon BILLIONS in U.S.-TAXPAYER AID year after bloody year?!!!!!!

The country annually welcomes 1,000 French youths for a year abroad and 70 percent of them decide to stay in Israel, according to Ariel Kandel, who runs the Jewish Agency for Israel in Paris.

Their foreign lobbyists also arrange political junkets for western politicians.

The agency, which works closely with the Israeli government, aims to strengthen ties between Jews in the diaspora and Israel and spends tens of millions of dollars each year to bring Jews to Israel permanently. The $29 million in new spending targets European Jews and another $8 million will help them resettle.

I'll give you one guess where.

The Jewish Agency cites an influx of immigrants from France and Ukraine, which has been fighting with separatists and seen some anti-Semitic leaflets distributed amid increasing tensions with Russia.

Another by-product of EUSraeli intervention in the area!

France doesn’t pose such a dramatic danger. Its economy is stagnant and joblessness is high, but France has among the world’s strongest social safety nets and highest standards of living.

The $ociali$t government is $hredding that!

The number of people obtaining French citizenship is down about 45 percent from a high in 2010 and the general mood among French of all faiths is one of deepening pessimism.

French Jews say they have the added burden of watching the rise of an increasingly militant Islam and a revitalized far right.

Perfect patsies to advance the false flag agenda! Now cue the violin music!

The French government is aware of the increase in departures, Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said.

‘‘Emigration is an individual choice and it’s not our place to comment,’’ he said.

I would be glad they are gone, actually.

That reminds me: Israel doesn't field a soccer team, because I haven't seen them in any of the groupings. Iran is in there, but no Israel.

"Roma teen left for dead in French vigilante attack" Associated Press   June 18, 2014

PARIS — A vigilante attack against a Roma teenager raised pressure on the French government Tuesday for its policies toward the ethnic minority even as the president condemned the ‘‘unspeakable and unjustifiable’’ violence that left the boy bleeding and unconscious in a grocery cart by the side of a highway.

Antidiscrimination groups say violence in France is rising against Roma, also known as Gypsies, who come primarily from Eastern Europe and are often blamed for petty crime.

Many live in makeshift camps, lacking running water or electricity. Without regular documentation of their residence, they have a hard time enrolling children in school, applying for subsidized housing, getting national health care, or finding permanent work.

Several dozen Roma families in the boy’s makeshift camp in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine cleared out Tuesday.

There is no more Roma problem in France.

Besides, they have more pressing matters:

"Tear gas, clashes: France fed up with train strike" by Sylvie Corbet | Associated Press   June 18, 2014

PARIS — Even France might be getting fed up with strikes.

A week into a train strike that has tangled traffic and stranded tourists, police fired tear gas Tuesday at protesting rail workers.

I expect U.S. condemnation shortly.

Two polls suggest passengers have little sympathy for the train workers’ lament. Even the labor-friendly Socialist government is breaking a long-held French taboo by criticizing the striking unions.

Judging by the way they have $erved bankers, it's a $ociali$t government now -- undoubtedly why the French are so pissed after voting for change.

My advice to passengers is stay home and watch a soccer match.

The strike has caused some of the worst disruptions to the country’s rail network in years — and heated up as a reform bill went to the lower house of Parliament for debate Tuesday. The bill would unite the SNCF train operator with the RFF network, paving the way to opening competition.

Workers fear the reform would mean job losses and hurt the quality of France’s often-vaunted train network. The government says the reform is needed to streamline the railway’s administration, as France and other European countries gear up for full-scale railway liberalization in coming years.

But unions are not backing down. Several hundred workers staged a protest Tuesday near the National Assembly on Paris’s Left Bank, waving red union flags and demanding that the bill be delayed or changed. In northern Lille, protesters briefly occupied City Hall.

Ever notice some protests get loads of coverage from my agenda-pushing propaganda pre$$ while others not so much?

The protesters blocked cars and tried to push past police to approach the Parliament building, firing flares and throwing bottles. Officers responded with tear gas and batons and wrestled a few protesters to the ground. Then protesters marched onto train tracks and set off flares on the tracks at Paris’s busy Montparnasse station, which links travelers with cities across western and southwestern France.

Even where the right to strike is almost sacred, the Socialist leadership and their opponents are losing patience.

I'm tired of the elite$t pre$pective being the pri$m through which the hacks of AmeriKan journali$m promote their world view.

Phoque this!

Prime Minister Manuel Valls called the violence unacceptable and defended the reform bill in Parliament. A day earlier, Valls said, ‘‘this strike is useless and irresponsible.’’

Tell it to your military forces in Africa, asshole!

Last week, President François Hollande called on rail unions to bring an end to the strike, even if he has no power to stop it.

That's strange; our dictator does.

The right to strike is guaranteed by the French constitution, with minor restrictions for transport workers, who must give 48-hours’ notice of their intention to strike.

What's in the paper while I'm waiting on the subway?

"Frenchman convicted for pursuing daughter’s killer" Associated Press   June 19, 2014

PARIS — A French court convicted a 76-year-old man Wednesday of ordering a cross-border kidnapping as part of a decades-long mission to avenge his daughter’s death, but his one-year prison sentence was suspended.

The verdict Wednesday in the eastern French city of Mulhouse culminates a protracted and emotional legal saga that began after 15-year-old Kalinka died in Germany in 1982.

Kalinka’s father, Andre Bamberski, suspected her stepfather, Dieter Krombach, of giving the girl a dangerous injection that apparently caused her death.

A French court convicted Krombach in absentia, but a German court said evidence was insufficient and would not extradite him.

That's a real switch.

So in 2009, Bamberski took justice into his own hands and hired two men to forcibly bring Krombach to France to face prosecution. Krombach was tied up and dumped near a French courthouse and subsequently convicted a second time.

That's the only way to get justice.

On Wednesday, the court in Mulhouse convicted Bamberski and handed him a one-year suspended prison sentence.

"Frenchman dead, another injured in Facebook dare" AP   June 14, 2014

PARIS — French police are warning young people about the dangers of a dare spreading on Facebook that has left a young man dead and another severely injured.

Police confirmed Friday that a 19-year-old drowned a day earlier after riding his bicycle into a port in Beganne in western Brittany. Another youth was injured for life after diving headfirst into shallow water near Calais.

The challenge, called ‘‘A l’eau ou au resto’’ (Into the water or to the restaurant), dares friends to jump fully clothed into water and film it — or buy dinner at a restaurant.

‘‘Don’t be influenced by a stupid phenomenon of the moment,’’ national police warned on Facebook.

Police counseled young people to ‘‘show friends you are more intelligent than that.”
