Slow Saturday Special: Didja Know Dowjat?

"Man pleads not guilty in brother’s killing

A Holden man charged with fatally stabbing his younger brother and leaving the body in a locked Cold War-era bomb shelter was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Friday. Michael Dowjat, 65, pleaded not guilty to murder in Western Worcester District Court in the death of David Alan, 59. Alan had been stabbed more than 70 times when he was found on June 14 in his Rutland home, prosecutors said, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. Dowjat was linked to the death through DNA and cellphone global positioning system records, Assistant District Attorney Terry McLaughlin said. Authorities did not offer a motive, but according to court records the brothers had previous disputes over money (AP)."
