Sunday Globe Special: Israel Occupies Faneuil Hall

Why not? they already occupy the state house and governor's mansions.

"Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. of New York.... revamping the face of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace."

Thought I was joking?

"Faneuil Hall street performers clash with property manager over sound" by Zachary T. Sampson | Globe Correspondent   July 06, 2014

A new rule prohibits the jugglers, stuntmen, and circus performers who work in the marketplace’s storied street performance program from using devices to amplify their acts....

The property manager, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. of New York, sees the change as an early step in revamping the face of the Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

Ted Furst, a Boston consultant to Ashkenazy, said the company wants to make Faneuil Hall quieter, a nod to its historical roots.

The desire, he said, “is to just tone it down. It’s loud, and it’s a little pushy over there sometimes.”

Sure acting like Ashkenazi Israel anyway.

Performers said the change hampers their ability to dazzle tourists and make a decent living....

But it's okay because even though Boston ranks fourth with the ever-increasing inequality gap but it has a mayor who is pro-labor so everything is cool.

I'm actually with the 1% here. I want that loud, obnoxious rabble trying to scrape out a living cleared out.

Of course, when it comes to something like Occupy with Peace and Love the Globe is all for it, unlike our own Occupy, if you remember

wonder if those kids made it.

As for the current voice of Occupy:

"New York City targets subway performers" Associated Press   July 02, 2014

NEW YORK — The underground acrobats who flip, somersault, and pole-dance among New York City subway riders as trains roll are drawing a new audiencepolice officers.

The New York Police Department is cracking down on those who use the tight quarters of the nation’s busiest transit system as moving stages for impromptu — and illegal — pass-the-hat performances.

When is the next train to New York Federal Reserve?

Why don't you cops go take a look at that pa$$-the-hat operation?

More than 240 people have been arrested on misdemeanors related to acrobatics so far this year, compared with fewer than 40 at this time a year ago.

And not one a banker.

Police Commissioner William Bratton acknowledges he is targeting subway acrobats as part of his embrace of the ‘‘broken windows’’ theory of policing — that low-grade lawlessness can cultivate a greater sense of disorder and embolden more dangerous offenders.

Do I need to type Wall Street? As for the rest, welcome to how the spied-upon Muslims and racially-profiled citizens must feel. They are associating these people with criminal activity even though there is no evidence. Just a "theory."

‘‘Is it a significant crime? Certainly not,’’ Bratton said recently. But the question is, he added, ‘‘Does it have the potential both for creating a level of fear as well as a level of risk that you want to deal with?’’

I'm all feared out, Bill, sorry.

The subway acrobats say they’re just out to entertain, make a living, and put a little communal levity in New York’s no-eye-contact commuting.

‘‘We just try to go inside the train and change the vibe,’’ said a performer named Besnkheru.

He recently performed to some glares but many smiles — some from passengers who initially seemed determined not to look — and several dollars.

But other passengers resent becoming a captive audience for acrobats and break-dancers in a cramped subway car.

‘‘I don’t like all that action right in front of my face,’’ rider Kesia Hudson said.

That I can understand, but.... ????

Then he ducked into a limousine and headed home.

Nice to know there are no rapes or murders in the city anymore, and Wall Street must have cleaned up its act. No one to go after other than poor people trying to panhandle a living.

What's next, debtor's prison?

You know, it's funny. When I went to Fenway I lobbed some change into a cup on the way back to the subway for the ride home. He was playing the guitar in a staircase where we were all packed in.

What kind of mixed message am I $ending, huh?
