What an insult to all those activists and kids that camped out on the commons.
Then again, what would you expect from a whoreporate mouthpiece?

"De Blasio lays out proposals to narrow income gap; State of City talk calls for raising minimum wage in NYC" by Jonathan Lemire | Associated Press, February 11, 2014
NEW YORK — Mayor Bill de Blasio used his first State of the City address Monday to press government to marshal its power to battle income inequality, a liberal call to action that will be closely watched around the nation.
What, they going to start working for the other $ide now?
By virtue of a campaign focused on income disparity and a landslide win that installed him at the helm of the nation’s largest city, de Blasio has become a leading spokesman for a growing movement to narrow the gap between the haves and have-nots....
The propaganda pre$$ has promoted him as the face of the $wirling $hit fooley!
The first Democrat to deliver the address in more than 20 years, de Blasio unveiled a decidedly left-leaning agenda....
Which will go absolutely nowhere as it drives the wealthy out of the city.
The plan, welcomed in the cities’ liberal circles, has run into obstacles. De Blasio can’t raise taxes without approval from state lawmakers, and Governor Andrew Cuomo has steadfastly refused to consider the issue, instead offering to dedicate existing money in the state budget to pay for the program.
Related:
"Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, who has yet to campaign in earnest but has over $33 million in his campaign coffers, has enviable approval ratings and a much better reputation than two of his possible Republican opponents, who would be handily defeated in a head-to-head matchup."
And on Monday, even as de Blasio spoke, state Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos told reporters he would not allow legislation containing a tax hike on city residents to advance....
Like I said, going nowhere.
De Blasio disclosed in the speech that he plans to ask them next week for the power to raise the minimum wage in the city....
De Blasio, who did not specify what he wanted the new minimum to be, joined a national push to raise wage levels.
That has to be done at the state level.
Last month, President Obama called for the federal wage to be raised from $7.25 to $10. And Cuomo and lawmakers reached a deal last year to raise New York’s minimum wage to $9 by the end of next year.
As if throwing you more chump change for an abysmally low poverty line were the answer to all the inequality.
De Blasio, who expects nearly lockstep cooperation from the Democratic-controlled City Council, also said he wants to expand existing living wage legislation and wanted the municipal ID card to be available to all residents this year regardless of their immigration status.
Previous measures to issue statewide ID cards have faltered, but other US cities, including San Francisco and New Haven, issue similar documentation.

He's not yet done sucking up politically.
Even Occupy was inspired by Jews, did you know that?
Finally, something worthy of protest.

"Safety talk didn’t sink in for NYC mayor’s SUV driver" Associated Press, February 21, 2014
NEW YORK — New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s official vehicles were spotted breaking several traffic laws on Thursday, just two days after he laid out a sweeping traffic safety plan that included harsh restrictions on reckless drivers.
So Bill is just like all of the rest of the elite pukes.
Those laws don't apply to him, rabble! Just to you!
How disappointing!
De Blasio was in the front passenger seat of the lead SUV of a two-vehicle caravan that was captured on video speeding, running through a pair of stop signs, and not signaling when changing lanes. The footage, which aired on WCBS-TV, was taken as de Blasio returned to City all after a news conference in Queens.
The mayor’s press office refused to comment on the video, instead referring media requests to the police department because a member of the NYPD was behind the wheel of de Blasio’s SUV. The police department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Not even in office a month and they are already passing the buck!
The two bulky black vehicles did not stop at two stop signs in the Maspeth neighborhood, and were later observed speeding.
How is that helping the global warming situation?
Just two days earlier, de Blasio released his ‘‘Vision Zero’’ traffic safety plan which aims to eliminate all traffic fatalities. The plan proposed reducing the citywide speed limit to 25 miles per hour, detailing more NYPD officers to enforce speeding violations and toughening penalties for on speeding drivers.
And down go his approval ratings.

"Trial looming, N.Y. man pleads guilty in terror case" by James C. McKinley Jr. | New York Times, February 20, 2014
NEW YORK — Five days before his trial was to start, a Manhattan man accused of planning to wage a personal jihad against the United States with pipe bombs pleaded guilty Wednesday to reduced charges in a deal with prosecutors.
Meaning they really had a case that wouldn't stand up in court.
I wonder how much torture was needed to gain confession.
Jose Pimentel was facing state terrorism charges for building an inexpensive pipe bomb in an informer’s apartment, and starting to work on two others, according to an indictment. Prosecutors said they had evidence that he meant to detonate bombs in New York City in retaliation for the death of Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical Muslim cleric in Yemen.

But on Wednesday, Pimentel appeared in state Supreme Court in Manhattan to plead guilty to the reduced charges of a single count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the first degree as a crime of terrorism. As part of the plea deal, he agreed to serve 16 years in prison and five years of probation when he is sentenced on March 25; he had faced 15 years to life in prison under the original charges of weapons possession and conspiracy as crimes of terrorism.
Pimentel’s lawyers had contended that their client was entrapped by the police. They describe him as a down-on-his-luck young man who was easily enticed by the informer to build bombs after being plied for months with free food and marijuana.
All at TAXPAYER EXPENSE -- as the government drags it heels on medical marijuana and cut food stamps!
One of the defense lawyers, Susan Walsh, said Pimentel had decided it was not worth risking an even lengthier prison term on the hopes that the defense team could prove that Pimentel had been lured into making the bomb. “The fundamental question that will not be answered, at least in the court of law, is who exactly is recruiting whom in this war on terror,” Walsh said outside court.
And we KNOW the ANSWER!
Pimentel, 29, dressed in an orange jump suit, seemed calm as he changed his plea to guilty before Judge Thomas Farber. He wore wire-rim glasses, a short cropped beard, and a black Islamic skullcap.
Farber said the plea agreement was a three-page document that included a signed admission by Pimentel. In that admission, the defendant admitted he had built a pipe bomb with an informer named Abdul in November 2011, after getting the instructions from Inspire magazine, an online jihadist publication. In the letter, he said he intended to set off the bombs “to undermine the support of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
How does doing that undermine support? If anything it does the opposite.

How inspirational, huh?
Deborah Hickey, the assistant district attorney handling the case, said the state had evidence that Pimentel intended to attack returning soldiers, Army recruitment offices, police officers, and Jews. Hickey said the sentence was appropriate, because it was more than the minimum sentence he might have received had a jury convicted him on the top count of the indictment.
Pffft!
Pimentel, a Dominican native who converted to Islam, was arrested in November 2011. The arrest stemmed from a lengthy sting operation in which police used an undercover officer, two confidential informers, and hundreds of hours of recorded conversations.
And HOW MUCH did this PATSY FRAME JOB COST taxpayers?!!
The case in state court was unusual because the federal authorities typically handle terrorism prosecutions. But the FBI, which had monitored Pimentel, decided not to pursue charges, and the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., took on the task.
Because even they saw how full of holes the case was!
No evidence has been produced in court that Pimentel had co-conspirators or was taking instructions from terrorist organizations abroad. He has been described as a lone wolf.
Right.
At a news conference, Police Commissioner William J. Bratton said Pimentel was typical of the homegrown, self-made terrorist that organizations like Al Qaeda had tried to inspire through jihadist websites and anti-Western propaganda. “This young man really was self-radicalized,” Bratton said.
Yeah, just forget the four instigators from the government and law enforcement(?).
