Time to hang him out to dry then....
"Obama says US must rethink its use of water; Unveils new aid to help relieve Calif. drought" by Darlene Superville | Associated Press, February 15, 2014
LOS BANOS, Calif. — Warning that weather-related disasters will only get worse, President Obama said Friday that the United States must rethink the way it uses water, as he announced new federal aid to help drought-stricken California.
Obama drew a clear connection between California’s troubles and climate change as he toured part of a farm that will go unsown this year as the state faces its worst drought in more than 100 years.
PFFFFFFT!

With another 10 to 14 inches expected today!
Meanwhile, my local tells me the Great Lakes have iced over(!) even as the Southwest is hot.
Even if the United States takes action now to curb pollution, the planet will keep getting warmer ‘‘for a long time to come’’ thanks to greenhouse gases that have already built up, Obama said.
Even as all the evidence shows it is cooling!

Yeah, I am tired of the hot fart mist in my face!
‘‘We’re going to have to stop looking at these disasters as something to wait for. We’re going to have to start looking at these disasters as something to prepare for,’’ Obama said.
After arriving in California on Friday afternoon, Obama met with community leaders at a rural water facility before announcing more than $160 million in federal financial aid, including $100 million in the farm bill he signed into law last week for programs that cover the loss of livestock.
Not only is that chump change compared to the billions and trillions other intere$ts receive, it's no doubt going to corporate interests.

Looks like you got f***ed on that farm bill, folks.
Btw, HOW DID HE GET to California anyway?
Yeah, thanks for helping out with the greenhouse gases and global warming, a$$hole!
The overall package includes smaller amounts to aid in the most extreme drought areas and to help food banks that serve families affected by the water shortage. Obama also called on federal facilities in California to limit water consumption immediately.

He urged Congress to act swiftly on Democratic legislation backed by California’s senators, Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, that would pour $300 million into emergency aid and drought-relief projects, upgrade city water systems and water conservation, and speed up environmental reviews of water projects.
I was told they won't be doing anything this year.
The president also announced that the budget he will send to Congress next month will include $1 billion for a proposed ‘‘climate resilience fund’’ to invest in research and pay for new technologies to help communities deal with the impact of climate change. The proposal is likely to face stiff resistance from lawmakers wary of new spending and divided on the subject of global warming.
As soon as the snow starts melting this guy will start pushing for a carbon tax because the ca$h grab that is Obummercare has failed!
Later Friday, Obama was meeting Jordan’s King Abdullah II at the Rancho Mirage estate Sunnylands for talks covering the Mideast peace process, Syria, and other issues.
Oh, really? How did the King get there, and what was the carbon footprint?
It’s unusual for Obama to host world leaders outside of the White House, though he did hold a two-day summit at Sunnylands last year with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Especially after he lavished a state dinner on the scum Hollande.

I'm done talking or listening.
Obama planned to spend Presidents’ Day weekend at the estate and was expected to make use of its golf course.
He's going to putter around while the world is on fire, huh?
He traveled without first lady Michelle Obama.
Uh-oh. That last bit of news can not be good.
The White House has been closely watching the California drought....
The Globe not so much since the rain came.

And I'm surprised the Pennsylvania pile-up only garnered a small column when it lead the NBC Nightly News last night (followed by the Martin-Incognito imbroglio before I changed the channel; those were the two top stories on the planet yesterday?)
"Dozens of vehicles crash on icy Pa. Turnpike" by Michael Rubinkam and Ron Todt | Associated Press, February 15, 2014
PHILADELPHIA — Two major pileups and smaller fender-benders involving tractor-trailers and scores of cars blocked one side of an ice-coated Pennsylvania Turnpike outside Philadelphia on Friday, injuring at least 30 people and tying up traffic for hours.
The eastbound crashes were reported just before 8:30 a.m., in the middle of rush hour and about five hours after a storm that dropped a foot of snow in the area finally moved out.
The South would have handled it better.
Speed restrictions put in place during the storm had been lifted at 6 a.m., but rush-hour motorists said the roadway was very slick, calling into question whether it had been adequately treated. State Police also suspect sun glare might have played a role....
Yeah, it was all the nut behind the wheels fault because of the slick and sun.
Does any authority in AmeriKa ever take responsibility for anything anymore?
What a $hit government!
Stuck motorists turned off their engines to conserve gas. One of them, Chuck Wacker, 53, of Plymouth Meeting, counted about 30 smashed-up vehicles around him.
“It’s a pretty calm atmosphere right now,” he said. “People are sharing food and water.”
Yeah, I find it amazing that human nature can still overcome the agenda-pushing division promoted ad nauseam by propaganda pre$$.
He said cars were spun around, gas tanks were cracked open, and glass and plastic littered the road. Ambulances took 30 people from the scene, but none of the injuries was believed to be major, turnpike spokesman Bill Capone said. Abington Memorial Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center received many of the patients, but spokeswomen at the two facilities said none of the injuries was life-threatening.
Thank God for that.

Oh, excuse me!
Time for me to catch a flight out of here because the Globe has left me feeling cold again. Sorry.
