FBI Lost Kidnapper in Lee

"FBI offers $20,000 for help finding armed kidnapping suspect" by Trisha Thadani, Globe Correspondent  December 09, 2014

The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who can help identify a suspect involved in an armed kidnapping that occurred in Rhode Island and Massachusetts in June.

The masked suspect kidnapped a man at gunpoint from his driveway in Barrington, R.I., on June 30, the FBI said in a statement Tuesday. The suspect drove the victim for almost three hours before he stopped on Interstate 90 near the town of Lee in Western Massachusetts and fled into the woods, according to the FBI.

The victim was then able to drive the car to the nearest rest stop, where he called police, said Peter Kowenhoven, FBI assistant special agent in charge, in a telephone interview.

Kowenhoven said the suspect had a black, semiautomatic pistol, but the victim was physically unharmed.

At this point in the investigation, Kowenhoven said, it does not seem like there was a connection between the suspect and the victim, and it is not clear why the victim was targeted.

Since the incident, Kowenhoven said the FBI has pursued many leads that “ended up being unproductive.” He said the FBI is now turning to the public in hopes of receiving additional evidence or information.

“Hopefully, someone out there will remember something they saw or overheard on June 30 that will help us obtain the lead or tip that will help us identify and locate the suspect,” Kowenhoven said.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, he said.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male with short, dark-colored hair, who speaks English with a slight Spanish accent and fluent Spanish, the FBI said in the statement. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweat shirt with a green camouflage bandana over his face.

The reward will go to anyone with information that leads to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of the suspect, the FBI said.

This smells like a hoax; however, at least it gives the FBI a reason to crawl around the area.

So what pathetic patsy is going to be framed for the next false flag?
