"Calif. adopts a sweeping plan for warming" by Samantha Young, Associated Press | December 12, 2008
SACRAMENTO - California air regulators adopted a sweeping new climate plan yesterday that would require the state's utilities, refineries, and large factories to transform their operations to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
The agenda is going to be RAMMED DOWN YOUR THROAT, folks, whether you like it or not!

The California Air Resources Board voted unanimously to adopt the nation's most comprehensive anti-global warming plan, outlining for the first time how individuals and businesses would meet a landmark 2006 law that made the state a leader on global climate change.
Too bad the planet is COOLING!
The plan would hold California's worst polluters accountable for the heat-trapping emissions they produce - transforming how people travel, how utilities generate power, and how businesses use electricity. At the heart of the plan is the establishment of a carbon-credit market designed to give the state's major polluters cheaper ways to cut their emissions.
Notice how they call it a CARBON CREDIT, not TAX!!!!!
"Gore said the single most important policy change would be placing a carbon tax on burning oil and coal."
That market and the many other strategies outlined in the plan will be fleshed out and adopted over the next few years. California's plan comes at a time when governments around the world are struggling with a financial crisis that threatens to undermine efforts to fight climate change. California itself is facing a forecast budget gap of $41.8 billion through June 2010.
Time to RECALL ARNOLD, 'eh?
Just stop it with the Girlyman promises, Nazi!
And GUESS whose GREENER, America!
"Which one is greener, Apple or Wal-Mart?" by Erin Ailworth, Globe Staff | December 12, 2008
Apple Inc. and Whole Foods Market Inc., viewed by many as being environmentally friendly, ranked relatively low in a new report on how large companies are addressing climate change, while Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Dell Inc., and IBM Corp. fared well.
Whose report is this?
Wal-Mart and their poisons from China (that crossed oceans) is better than a NATURAL FOODS PLACE?
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!
Mindy S. Lubber, president of Ceres, the Boston-based green investment coalition that published the report, said companies that scored the highest believe "climate change is as much an economic and financial risk as the subprime mortgage meltdown."
PFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTT!!!
The report looked at 63 large companies in the retail, pharmaceutical, apparel, and other sectors, partly by examining annual reports and documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ratings were based on such factors as whether the companies sought ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and engaged employees in climate-control efforts, including ways to become more energy-efficient....
Translation: it is a bullcrap study, although it does let you know where this is all heading: a FART MIST METER to be implanted in your butt!!!!

I'll tell you this: the agenda-pushiung lying is shameful in the face of the weather today:
"Ice storm wreaks havoc in Mass." by Mark Pratt, Associated Press Writer | December 12, 2008
An ice storm that coated western and central Massachusetts overnight has knocked out power to more than 100,000 customers while forcing road and school closures across the largely rural regions of the state....
At least 20 towns have declared local states of emergency, especially along the Route 2 corridor and in greater Worcester.
"Stay home if you live in Holden, don't come to Holden if you work here," Holden fire Chief Jack Chandler said. The entire town is without power and some senior citizens on oxygen have been transported to either the hospital or a shelter opened at the town's senior center....More:
A paralyzing storm has coated much of Central and Western Massachusetts with an inch of ice, snapping countless limbs and power lines and knocking out electricity to more than 220,000. As the storm roars out to sea this morning after deluging the region with 2 to 4 inches of rain, it is leaving a wide swath of damage.
Hardest hit was northern Worcester County, where 100,000 people are without power and some roads are impassable in communities such as Fitchburg and Leominster.
"There's tons and tons of debris out there, which is impacting the utilities' ability to restore power," said Peter Judge, spokesman for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. "It's as bad as we've seen at least over the last 10 years."
Sure is BALMY around here, huh? Pfffffttt!
.... In Western Massachusetts, the towns of Otis, Becket, and Ashfield sustained the most damage. It could take several days to restore power because downed trees are preventing repairs, said Lacey Girard, spokeswoman for Western Massachusetts Electric Company, which has 21,000 customers without power.
That is JUST UP the HILL, folks!
Massive electricity outages have also been reported in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. In Massachusetts, the problems are not limited to ice. Wind gusts near 50 miles per hour are buffeting the Cape Cod and the South Coast, where temperatures are in the 60s. Flooding is a major concern inside Interstate 495 with small streams swollen from the rain....
The rain is expected to taper off and give way to cold. High temperatures are expected to creep above freezing in the portions of the state blanketed by ice, which could help thaw some cities and towns.
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!!
STOP LYING, dammit!!!!!!!!
Temperatures are expected to plummet this evening, with lows hitting the teens in the central and western part of the state. Temperatures in Boston are expected to slip into the 20s.
Yeah, but it is GLOBAL WARMING!
Hey, it wasn't that bad, right?
"Nearly 1 million customers in N.E. still without power
Nearly 1 million homes and businesses remain without power in New England this afternoon in the wake of a massive winter storm that encrusted the region in an inch-thick sheet of ice.
HOLY SHIT!!!
And it is NOT even WINTER yet!
Tree limbs and powers lines continue to collapse under the crushing weight of the ice as crews with chainsaws work to clear debris that has blocked roads and slowed recovery efforts. A warm afternoon sun accelerated some melting, but wind gusting at 25 to 30 miles an hour continued to knock loose branches and utility wires.
They just can't get away from the global warming references, can they? How pathetic!
Hardest hit was northern Worcester County, where 109,000 people are still without electricity. Downed trees and sagging power lines have made some roads impassable in Fitchburg, Leominster, and the city of Worcester. In Holden, so much ice and debris rained from trees this afternoon that parents sent their children outside to play wearing bicycle helmets.
Governor Deval Patrick declared a state of emergency, which allowed him to mobilize 500 members of the National Guard to help clear roads and provide support. Patrick said he will request a presidential disaster declaration, which would make federal money available for recovery efforts.
WHERE is that $$$ going to come from?
"The earliest estimate that we have for power being restored is Monday," Patrick said at a press conference at the state's emergency management agency in Framingham. "And I think many of us view that as an ambitious estimate at this point."
I'll bet he wishes he had all those TAX DOLLARS BACK!! You know, the ones he GAVE AWAY to HOLLYWOOD and BIOTECHS!
I guess I got lucky because I never remember that happening before -- particularly so EARLY in the SEASON!!!
No power until Monday?
