"Doing right counts most, Bush says
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - A reflective President Bush told graduates of Texas A&M University yesterday that popularity is capricious and what matters is whether they think they've done what is right.
In the final commencement address of his presidency, Bush commiserated with graduates who don't have a job, spoke wistfully about his affection for Texas and described the "tremendous privilege" of serving as president for two terms. Bush leaves office in 39 days, with President-elect Barack Obama to be sworn in on Jan. 20....
Inshallah!
Bush told the graduates to pay no heed to those who recommend a course of action that's more popular....
Lord knows he never did.

"Bush declares Dec. 26 federal holidayWASHINGTON - Federal employees: No need to hustle back to work the day after Christmas. The president has cleared you to stay home.
In an executive order yesterday, President Bush declared that executive branch agencies and departments will be closed Dec. 26. That means most US workers will get a day off, with pay.
As if the budget isn't out of balance enough, this MF has to toss on an unpaid holiday!!! Are you effin' kidding?
The order does not apply to Postal Service employees.
Well, no doubt that will inspire a couple of shootings.
And it allows agency directors to require that their employees come to work that day if their service is needed for national security, defense, or some other essential public service.
