While the Hamas hold on power in Gaza has tightened significantly, Hamas is under growing pressure not only from Israel, which has stepped up military action here, and the Palestinian Authority, but from much of the Arab world as well after withdrawing from a Cairo-sponsored effort to reconcile it with the Abbas government.
That government, the Palestinian Authority, based in Ramallah, has been arresting Hamas activists across the West Bank as its security officials, newly trained by Jordan with American sponsorship, increase their activity there.
Translation: Fatah and the PA are USrael's AGENTS!!!!!
It has also taken over Hamas charities and shopping malls in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Nablus, replacing their executives with loyalists.
And somehow, no WHOHA was raised by the Zionist AmeriKan MSM like, oh, say, Mumbai!!
In the past couple of days, Abbas's government has also issued two threats - that it would replace the Hamas officials who were elected to municipal and village councils in the West Bank in 2005 because their terms were ending, and that it would stop sending salaries to their idle employees in Gaza, thereby increasing the economic pressure here.
Hamas says that all these steps prove that the Palestinian Authority is not serious about compromise and therefore dialogue is impossible now.
You know, it more than appears that HAMAS is RIGHT -- which is why the agenda-pushing, Hamas-hating, Zionist War Daily only gives them a one-sentence paragraph.
Israel and Hamas are also eying each other warily because on Dec. 19 their 6-month truce comes to an end and neither is sure whether to renew it. For the past several weeks, both have violated its terms, with Hamas lobbing rockets into southern Israel, terrorizing and injuring dozens, and Israeli forces carrying out raids into Gaza, killing and wounding militants....
