Cabinet Crapola

I haven't been dissecting these articles and people, readers, because I simply view them as all the same class of corrupt swine that continually populates our government.

Neo-libs, neo-cons, I see no difference. It's all ONE PARTY; the WAR PARTY!!!!

"Grilling expected at AG nominee hearing; Fight over Holder illustrates division on Senate panel" by Joseph Williams, Globe Staff | January 15, 2009

WASHINGTON - .... The nation's top prosecutor must have "a critical qualification of character" and avoid the temptation to "yield to expediency . . . to please a superior or to accommodate a friend," Specter said. Under Clinton, he added, some of Holder's decisions "raised concerns about his ability to maintain his independence from the president."

Of course, when it was BUSH'S MEN, this guy didn't give a shit; he wanted to investigate football!!!

Specter also threw a jab at Obama, suggesting the president-elect's decision not to consult him before nominating Holder was a mistake....

Yeah, WHATEVER, "magic bullet" Arnie. So vote against him and shaddup!

Senate seat was your pay-off, huh? So just why should Obama have cleared his appt with you, huh?

Committee Republicans want to flex enough political muscle to make the incoming administration think twice about future judicial nominations, including those for the Supreme Court.

Oh, so this is all SHOW FOOLEYS of POLITICS, huh?

No wonder I hate politics now.

Obama, who toured the high court yesterday at the invitation of Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., could have several appointments to the court during his term. John Paul Stevens, considered the cornerstone of the court's liberal wing, is the oldest justice at age 88. Four other justices are in their 70s....

Republicans want to retaliate for Democrats' rough treatment of Gonzales during his confirmation, their harsh criticism of the Justice Department under President Bush, and their use of procedural tactics to stall some of Bush's nominees for federal judgeships....

Yeah, it isn't about the LAW or anything!!! Un-fucking-real!!

That's why I hate my own damn party, too!!!

Gee, that's odd; nothing about TORTURE ("Holder was among the relatively few Democrats who argued that the Geneva Conventions should not apply to terrorism suspects") or Obama's meeting with neo-con pundits in my paper.

WTF?

And now CRIMES are just "innocent mistakes."

This is CHANGE?

"Obama urges Treasury pick approval; Calls nominee's tax error innocent" by Associated Press | January 15, 2009

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama yesterday called disclosures about his Treasury Secretary nominee's tax problems an embarrassment, but said Timothy Geithner's "innocent mistake" shouldn't prevent him from being confirmed as the new administration's top official in urgent efforts to revive the economy.

Yeah, I'LL REMEMBER THAT for MY TURN! Innocent, huh?

"He should know better"

The disclosure that Geithner had failed to pay $34,000 in payroll taxes several years ago derailed Senate Democrats' plans to speed him to confirmation by Inauguration Day, but senators in both parties said yesterday the revelations were unlikely to torpedo his chances....

Of course not; corruption never torpedoes anything, not in AmeriKa!

Tax problems have sunk other nominees, including Zoe Baird, Bill Clinton's choice for attorney general, who stepped aside when word leaked that she had hired illegal immigrants as household workers and failed to pay their Social Security taxes.

Yeah, well, Geithner employed one, too, but oh well.

But Senator Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat who chairs the Finance Committee, called Geithner's transgression an honest mistake and said his confirmation was a given....

That's why I don't want to cover the cesspool of politics anymore. So turned of to it and the MSM.

Obama's team says his mistake was a common one for people hired by international organizations and foreign embassies that don't pay the employer share of Social Security taxes.

You know, I am REALLY TIRED of the GOD-DAMN-EXCUSE MAKING!

Let's try one more, shall we?

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama's pick to head the Environmental Protection Agency promised yesterday to assess hundreds of coal ash disposal sites immediately at power plants across the country after spills in Alabama and Tennessee....

Little LATE, ain't it? That HORSE already left the BARN!

I guess better LATE than NEVER!

Senate committees also warmly received other Cabinet nominees yesterday, continuing an aggressive push to confirm them by Inauguration Day....

No matter who they are!
