"Karzai: Ramping up security is a 'go' for Kandahar" by Deb Riechmann, Associated Press Writer | June 13, 2010

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan --President Hamid Karzai gave the go-ahead to a major security crackdown in the Taliban birthplace of Kandahar, assuring residents the operation was aimed at battling corruption and bad government as much as insurgents.

Hundreds of tribal and religious leaders, sitting cross-legged in a steamy conference hall, publicly endorsed the plan Sunday, although Afghan officials acknowledged skepticism remains over the operation seen as a possible turning point in the nearly nine-year-old war.

The ONLY POINT of TURN I want to see is an ABOUT-FACE an MARCH of U.S. TROOPS and MERCENARIES!!

Afghan and international forces already have started to ramp up security, raising fears among the estimated half-million people living in and around the city that military action will lead to more bloodshed. Karzai worked to allay those fears, saying the operation would not resemble a heavy military offensive replete with tanks and airstrikes that could endanger civilians.

Yeah it has ALREADY BEEN UNDERWAY, but whatever you do don't call it an "offensive."

"The cleaning-up operation will start first inside Kandahar city and then we will go to the districts," Karzai said, urging those in the audience to put aside fears of retaliation and join him in retaking control of the city from insurgents, criminals and wealthy power-brokers.

You know, our guys!!!

That message pleased NATO officials who said it was important for Karzai, as president of the country, to publicly take ownership of the operation.

An OPERATION, not an offensive!

U.S. commanders believe control of Kandahar, the provincial capital, is the key to wresting the ethnic Pashtun south away from the Taliban.

Yeah, EXCEPT:

"Nearly all of the insurgents battling US and NATO troops in Afghanistan are not religiously motivated Taliban and Al Qaeda warriors, but a new generation of tribal fighters vying for control of territory, mineral wealth, and smuggling routes"

Translation: They are the PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE!!!!

Oh, right, that was just a ONE-DAY WONDER so we can pretend it never existed!

I can SEE WHY the "insurgents" want to KEEP THEIR LAND FREE of AmeriKan occupation!

That what get Kar$ai to turn around on it?

It was only Karzai's second visit in recent years to his home province. His government has little presence there, and insurgents have exploited public discontent with the central government in Kabul to win broad support in the strategic region.

"The Taliban is growing and creating new alliances not because its sectarian religious practices have become popular, but because it is the only available umbrella for national liberation," says Pakistani historian and political commentator Tariq Ali. "As the British and the Soviets discovered to their cost in the preceding two centuries, Afghans never like being occupied..... More and more, people here look back to the era of harsh Taliban rule from 1996 to 2001, describing it as a time of security and peace."

In waiting, readers.

Militants have responded to the security crackdown with a rash of attacks targeting those who support the government and its international partners. So far this month, at least 40 international troops have been killed in Afghanistan, including 27 Americans.

Karzai expressed sadness over the death of 56 people last week when a 13-year-old suicide bomber detonated his vest of explosives at a wedding party in a village near Kandahar. Yet the grisly attack rallied support among the war-weary public to tighten security in the city.

And CUI BONO, huh?

"Now stop and think here for a moment. All revolutions depend on public support. Revolutionaries try to first win the people before they take on the government. So, no revolutionary goes out and murders civilians in cold blood. Did Washington and his men just mow down a marketplace of their fellow colonials for the heck of it? No, they did not. Washington and the Founding Fathers knew that their revolution to build a new country needed the support of those who would live in that country. This is true for every revolution in history. Therefore, these acts of terror being blamed on the insurgency must all be fakes, committed by intelligence agencies working for the governments to be blamed on the insurgents in order to destroy public support for the revolution." -- Wake the Flock Up

Yeah, the STENCH of ANOTHER GOVERNMENT-SPONSORED FALSE FLAG OPERATION is OVERWHELMING!

The president reiterated his call to the Taliban to renounce violence, break with al-Qaida and cut relations with intelligence agencies in other nations.

He means you, Pakistan.

Or maybe he meant you, Iran.

He certainly did not mean the U.S., India, or Mossad.

A report issued Sunday by the London School of Economics said Pakistan's main spy agency continues to arm and train the Taliban despite U.S. pressure to sever ties and billions in aid to combat the militants. The findings -- rejected by Pakistani army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas -- could heighten tension between the neighboring countries and raise further questions about U.S. success in Afghanistan....

That is where my PRINTED PAPER article ended.

Afterward, Ahmad Wali Karzai, the president's influential half brother who is among Kandahar's most powerful figures, told reporters....

And seeing as it is war on....

"5 police, 2 NATO servicemen killed

KABUL — Five Afghan police and two NATO servicemen died yesterday in separate roadside bomb blasts in Afghanistan, which has seen an uptick in violence in recent weeks. Provincial Police Chief Sher Mohammed Zazai said the policemen were riding in a vehicle that struck a bomb in the Khakrez district of Kandahar Province. International forces are ramping up security to bolster the government and curb criminal and insurgent activity in the province, the spiritual birthplace of the Taliban. NATO said an American serviceman died in a roadside bomb attack in northern Afghanistan, and another coalition soldier was killed in an explosion in the east (AP)."

Have fun, AmeriKa!

But we have to SAVE the YOUNG GIRLS, right?

"A ravenous desire to learn" by Yvonne Abraham, Globe Columnist | June 13, 2010

This is how the days went for the Abdul Nabi sisters:

The Afghani girls rose at dawn to cook breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for their family. They washed clothes and cleaned the house. They tended to their baby brother. They spent hours bent over wealthy women’s sheets and shirts, filling fine fabrics with perfect, symmetrical embroidery.

Laila and Jaila had lived this way since they were 7 or 8.

A Taliban bomb had ripped through their father’s Kabul watch store and killed him in 1996. Their mother, Saddiqa, was broken and terrified at what would happen to her young family without her husband’s protection. She fled Afghanistan, taking her five children to Quetta, Pakistan, where she spent long days cleaning houses. The two older boys sold matches and socks in the street. Laila and Jaila kept house and sewed. They all scraped together a life.

School was somewhere other kids went. Laila and Jaila saw children pass their house in the mornings, dressed in their blue-and-white uniforms. The sisters looked over their friends’ shoulders as they did homework in the afternoons.

They begged their mother to let them go to school, too. Somehow, the girls had gotten the idea of being doctors into their heads.

Next year, their mother said.

“It was always next year, next year,’’ Laila recalled.

There was no reason to expect next year would be different. Laila and Jaila were like millions of girls who happened to be born into countries and families that condemned them to hidden lives of servitude. Maybe they would marry and move to their husbands’ homes at some point, but none of the days that stretched out before them would vary much from those they’d already endured.

Then again they COULD BE ANNIHILATED in AIR STRIKES!

That would SAVE THEM all the TROUBLE!

Yeah, they would be BETTER OFF without their MEN and CHILDREN anyway!!

Then one of Saddiqa’s clients, an educated woman, told her about a program that resettled widows and their families in the United States. Saddiqa applied and reapplied. With no education, the mother, who is now 46, scrambled to comply with endless requests for documents, walking miles to get to the UNICEF office. She slept there so she could be first in line in the morning.

Yeah, ISN'T IT GREAT that the GLOBALISTS who brought you this damnable occupation are doing such wonderful things?

Five years later, in 2004, the family was flown to Boston. Within a month, they had an apartment in a pale green two-family in Malden, and the girls found themselves in Charlotte Dumont’s ESL class at the Salemwood School....

This while your school services are being cut, Americans!

AIN'T WAR GRAND!!?

They absorbed the culture, too, getting used to the short skirts girls wore, men and women holding hands. The sisters were dressed in jeans and t-shirts last week, their toenails painted.

Yes, AmeriKan LIBERATION is not a GOOD LIFE with GOOD HEALTH, GOOD FOOD to EAT, and a FUTURE for your kids, ladies.

It turns out to be HOW WHORED UP you can look!

THAT is what we call LIBERATION for LADIES!

That or a MISSILE STRIKE that will separate them from their loved ones!!!

It was clear to Dumont early on that the girls were special. They were absorbing everything so quickly, ravenous for more.

“Watching them in school was like watching somebody who has never had food,’’ she said....

“They give off this aura of being these nice, smiley, gentle, maybe somewhat shy girls,’’ said Malden High School Principal Dana Brown. “But they both have stomachs of steel.’’

As long as they are not EATING SHRAPNEL like the Afghans we are BOMBING into OBLIVION!!!!!

hilarious....

Nope.

ferocious....

hilarious.

Do you see me laughing here, readers?
